Chapter 62 Àlvaro's Pov.

Chapter 62 Àlvaro's Pov.
Everything happened so fast.

I ducked behind the wooden boxes to take shelter as the bullets flew all around the warehouse. I spotted Sergei making a quick exit through the back, flanked by a couple of his men.

The plan failed but this certainly wasn't over yet.

Anthonio was shouting something, trying to get a shot at Vincenzo but he's out of sight, protected by his men too as he managed to make an exit.

Such cowards!

Bullets flew through the air and bodies began falling to the floor. My men, Antonio's men, Sergei's men, Vincenzo's men.

My eyes clocked Anthonio as he opened more fire until he ran out of ammunition. He rushed to reload his gun when a bullet flew into his leg and he groaned, falling to the ground. I grit my teeth, searching for the perpetrator and shoot in his direction.

Soon the gunshots died down and movement became silent.

I lifted my head over the wooden box and exhaled a sigh of relief. Anthonio is groaning on the ground and I approached him, gun still in hand in case I needed to use it.

He's bleeding from his leg but he was already putting pressure on it. "I'm sorry, Àlvaro. I really thought we had him this time." He heaved.

"I'll get him back for this, Anthonio. Even if it kills me."

I ordered Santiago to stay with him as I rushed outside to the spot where Vincenzo had Camilla shot.

I stared at the pool of blood on the floor but it's no bigger than a small plate. If she was really shot thrice, the floor would be covered.

“She's alive.” I muttered under my breath.

I called two of my personal doctors to come check out Anthonio's bullet wound and everyone else that was injured during the attack.

Santiago was already torturing some of the survivors of Sergei's men trying to figure out possible locations where Camilla could've been taken.

Anthonio groaned on the ground as the doctor checked on his wound, red crimson blood everywhere.

Antonio's phone suddenly rang out from his jacket pocket and he grunted as he tugged it out.

“Yeah?” He rasped as he put the phone up to his ear. I glanced at him out of the corner of my eye before walking slowly towards him. His eyes found mine as I approached.

“Are you sure?”

My arms crossed over my chest as I was already getting impatient. I don't have the patience nor the time to be standing around doing nothing. I left Santiago to do the torturing because I know that I wouldn't hesitate to kill those motherfuckers if I so much as set eyes on them and we desperately needed any information we could get right now.

Camilla’s life is literally on the line and I will not let those bastards get away with this. I have plans for them and I was going to carry them out in the most gruesome way possible.

“Alright, thanks.” Anthonio said, hanging up the phone. He hissed in pain when the doctor poured a liquid into his wound.

I shuffled even closer to him. “What's it?”

“Sergei.” He groaned again and my ears perked up. “I made some of my men stay back so they could trace his steps as some sort of backup in case something went wrong. They spotted his car leaving a house up in the mountains.”

“Did they see Camilla with him?”

I still didn't know if Camilla was with Sergei or Vincenzo but since they were both working together, one must know where the other was taking her.

Anthonio shook his head. “They didn't mention anything about her so I doubt it.”

“I think it might be a trap.” I started to pace, already feeling restless.

Anthonio frowned in my direction. “What are you talking about?”

“What if he's luring us there and it's a trap? If that's his hiding place, why would he leave?”

“I don't know.” He hissed as he doctor added pressure to his wound. “But we don't have the time to think about ifs. You need to get that girl out of their grasp.”

“Fuck!” I cursed, thinking about what Camilla may be going through right now.

Anthonio's eyes wavered for a moment as he rested his head back on the cold ground. “Àlvaro.” He called under a low breath. “If you get the chance, make them suffer. Do what I couldn't do. The next time I see you, I don't want that motherfucker, Sergei breathing anymore.”

I nodded my head at him. “Tienes mi palabra, hermano.”

(You have my word, brother.)

Anthonio told me the location of the house and I placed the information in my phone.

I turned in the direction where Santiago was. “San! Kill those motherfuckers. We got a lead.” I shouted to him.

Santiago's nostrils flare. “Then let's head out!” He shouted back as he fired off two gunshots instantly killing the men in front of him.

I ordered some of my men to follow us for backup and some others to keep scouting out for Vincenzo. Either way, she's coming home tonight. I needed to tell her how I feel. I don't care what it costs me. Even if it's my life.

Santiago slides into the driver's seat just like he knew I wasn't in the mood to drive. “Do we have enough ammunition?” I asked from the passenger seat as the car roared to life and we sped away.

“Yeah. I've got loads in the back.” Santiago replied, taking a sharp turn. The wheels burn into the concrete as he zooms down the street, towards the location. “What's the plan?”

“We scope out the area first, then we go in, take out who we need to, find Camilla. If she's not there, we need to start sourcing out the next possible location where they must've taken her. We have to find her.” I stated and Santiago nodded.

“Got it.”

The drive to the location took less than twenty minutes. We both remained silent, choosing to stay focused. Santiago might not admit it but I know he's grown to take Camilla as a friend.

The car crawled to a stop when we spotted the house in the distance, surrounded by trees.

My men driving behind us came to a stop too and we looked around for any sign of Sergei's gang but I figured they'd be closer to the house. “Let's reload before we go in.”

When we're set, my men creeped forward and I spotted three men standing outside the house holding guns. One of them is shouting at the other, his hand flying in the air. Grateful for the distraction, I whispered under my breath to my men. “Let's go.”

We crept down to the house, hiding ourselves behind the trees.

Gunshots rocket through the air and I ran with Santiago as they fell to the ground. They tried to fight back but they were already distracted and weren't expecting the intrusion.

A few more guys burst from the doors aiming in our direction, shouting something in Russian. I ducked behind a tree just as a bullet shot past my arm.

I peeked my head out from behind the tree and aimed my gun, shooting with three precise shots, right through one of their chests until they stumbled backwards into the fence around the house.

“Go! Go! Go!” Santiago yelled at our men.

I rushed forward, letting my men take care of the surrounding threat before rushing towards the house with Santiago close behind me. I burst into the door, scoping out the place and aiming my gun at every angle I turn.

I turned down a hallway and rushed to look in every of the rooms but there was no sign of Camilla.

“Son of a bitch!” I growled.

Santiago came down from the stairs where he also went to check for Camilla and I looked at him with hope in my eyes.

He shook his head. “She's not here.”

I physically deflated.

Gunshots can be heard outside until it turns silent. One of my men ran into the house. “We're still scoping the rest of the compound.” He said. “But they're all dead.”

“Good.” I say through gritted teeth.

But that doesn't help me in any way when Camilla is still missing.

What has that sick fucker done to her?
