~Beauty or a Beast~Part 2

*Beauty or a Beast Part 2*

*Adella*

I pulled into Nathan's driveway, quickly shutting off the engine and leaped outta the rattling old car grabbing the bag with my uniform & dashing to the front door flinging it open.

"I GOT THE JOB!! I GOT THE JOB!! OHHH MYY GOD I GOT THE FUCKING JOOOOBB!!" I squealed out loudly dancing in circles around the living room.

"WHAT THE HOLY FUCK!?" Nate cursed out loud, scrambling outta the kitchen into the living room where I continued bopping around like a damn lunatic, a hand towel draped over his shoulder as I grabbed onto him trying to make him dance around with me.

"God damnit! Dell! You about caused me to burn the shit outta myself with hot grease you little asshole!" He grumbled raising his voice.

"Natey! I. Got. The. Job!" I spoke with slow controlled excitement, grasping onto the front of his shirt, tearing up a bit from excessive joy.

"Ahhh! Hell yea baby girl! Now you can start paying me back all the money you owe me!" He chuckled, wrapping his arms tightly around me squeezing and twirling me around in circles.

"Ugh! Na...Nateyy...I...I can't breeeathe!" I tapped his shoulder, puffing out as he loosened his grip sitting my feet back down on the floor.

"Sorry...I'm just really happy for you sweetheart.

"Nate?" I asked, lifting my eyes up to him pitifully.

"What is it you're after Adella? I know when you get that sappy look in your eyes you want something." He huffed, crossing his arms over his chest giving her a suspicious look with one eye squinted up.

"I...l need a little favor. Can you give me a ride to work in the morning pleeeease? My cars acting up really bad again and since I'll be staying there while I work, I won't need any car." I spoke quickly, looking up at him innocently while batting my lashes.

"Of course I'll take you....but where are you gonna keep that piece of shit car of yours while you're there? He raised his brows.

"Hmmm...I thought maybeee....you'd let me park it over to the side in your driveway." I mumbled out.

"Ohhh no....hell noo Dell! He shook his head

"Pleease Nate...please, I don't have any family except for you!" I begged.

"Ok...Okayyy dammit...but I'm throwing a tarp over that eye sore! He exclaimed.

"Thank you Natey.....you know I wuv you." I wrapped my arms around his neck, latching onto him tightly and kissing his cheek sloppily.

"Ugh! Yuck! You gross little shit!" He wiped excessively at his cheek. " Only reason you love me when is when I'm doing shit for you." He scoffed, acting as though he were hurt.

"Nateyyy! You know I do!" I reached up grabbing his cute face with both hands and kissed him directly on his soft full lips. I could feel his body stiffen with my actions and pulled myself back quickly. Maybe I shouldn't have done that.

"Co...come on girl...le...let's go eat before it gets cold. I...I've made us a lovely celebration dinner for this blessed achievement. Fried Chicken breast, sour cream & chive potatoes, asparagus and some rolls." He stuttered a bit as his voice wavering as he spoke. He ran a hand through his wavy dark hair. The surprise kiss I'd innocently given had clearly affected him and I felt really bad for doing it. I'd never felt any romantic feelings for him, yet there had been times I felt that he had them for me.

I'd always seen him as a big brother from the first time we met nearly a year ago at the graveyard where my parents were buried. It was very odd to find someone that you instantly clicked with, especially at a cemetery, but that's just what happened and I was so thankful for this fella and wished sometimes that I felt an attraction toward him. He was most definitely a gorgeous man with a well built body...the guy was hot as fuck, but I just never felt anything more for him than a sibling type bond.

"I'm really proud you got that job Dell." He smiled wide displaying his perfectly straight, white teeth and those cute dimples that would draw any female to him.

He pulled me to the kitchen table that had already been set. Everything looked well put together and the food looked delicious. I couldn't wait to dig in and eat like a pig.

It was as if he knew I had this job in the bag.... and if I didn't know any better I would have said he did.

We shared the meal...that was by far one of the best he'd ever prepared. We laughed and chatted, as I began to tear up a bit that I wouldn't be able to see my adopted big brother everyday, once I started this new job.

"Oh nnnoo Dell! Please don't start squalling. It's not like you're moving cross country or something." He rolled his eyes, laying his head back.

"Kiss my ass!....Here I sit bearing m...my soul because I.... I'll miss you! You damn prick! I cried out, wiping a few stray tears that had made their way down to my red cheeks.

"Ok....stand up, come here." He responded standing up from the kitchen table waving his hand for me to come to him.

"Wh...what? What do you want?" I pouted.

He puffed out taking a few steps toward me pulling me up from the chair and engulfing me in his thick muscled arms.

"How bout we have a little fun tonight? Whatya say little sissy? Have a few shots. Smoke that big fat blunt I rolled for us. Laugh our asses if at some sucky ass B movie. Then when we get the munchies, we can pig out on that awesome cherry cheesecake I made for dessert sitting in the fridge. So....how's that sound, little lady? You up for it?" He backed up a couple steps, opening the cookie jar and pulling out a huge blunt smiling wide while he held it up wiggling his brows.

"Yes...yes, yes, and yes!" I jumped around clapping my hands together like a baby seal.

After hours of laughing so hard that tears rolled down our faces, sitting on the kitchen floor devouring the entire cheesecake Nate had made, we stood yawning and ready to call it a night.

We hugged each other goodnight, then staggered to our rooms by 12am. My new working life would officially start in exactly 8 hours.

I set the alarm on my phone for 5:30am to allow myself more than enough time to get my shit together so I'd be at my very best.

I had never been so happy to finally have a job so I could get my life together and support myself instead of depending on Nate so much, since the life insurance my mother had left for me was damn near gone. However Nate never complained and would hand me over cash once every week, which was more than enough to get me through. It always made me feel so awful and put a huge dent in my pride...but he'd say one day you'll pay me back, I'm keeping up with it so stop feeling so bad. We all need help sometime and what kinda brother would I be if I didn't help my little sister?

He said we were family and I could see the sincerity in his eyes when he spoke those words to me. After that I stopped letting it bother me anymore, that is why I love this guy that came into my life at a time when I needed someone the most and I'd forever be grateful for Nate. He is the best friend I ever had and I will always consider him my brother.
