“What are you asking about?” Leon said as soon as he walked into the room.
The people in the hospital room turned to look at him when they heard the commotion.
Alfonso’s eyes widened in surprise, clearly unsure of what to do. After a moment, he stammered awkwardly, “I heard about what’s going on online, so I wanted them to ask Tiffany what’s happening.”
“It was my situation that caused all this trouble, and Tiffany’s been blamed because of it. I feel bad and I’m worried she might be upset.”
Alfonso’s voice was filled with guilt and helplessness.
Tiffany’s eyes flickered, her thoughts unreadable. She shook her head and smiled faintly. “Don’t worry, this won’t affect me.”
Leon turned his gaze to Alfonso and couldn’t help but ask, “By the way, Alfonso, Tiffany said she came because she received a message from you. What’s going on? Can you explain?”
Tiffany showed the message on her phone. Alfonso’s eyes widened in surprise as he checked the screen, his brow furrowing in confusion. “Tiffany, that call came from the phone I lost earlier.”
“I got a new number because I didn’t have your contact info, and I figured you wouldn’t pick up, so I didn’t reach out today. But it looks like someone found my phone and caused this mess.”
He seemed to realize what had happened, his voice tinged with guilt. “Tiffany, have you been hurt because of this?”
Leon was about to say something when Tiffany hesitated. She looked away, her emotions complex. “Someone found the phone and played a prank on me, but I took the opportunity to come check on you.”
“Seeing you’re okay, I don’t mind. Don’t worry about the online rumors; Leon will handle it.”
Her voice was calm.
Alfonso looked like he wanted to say something but remained silent. “Since you’re okay, I’m relieved. If you run into trouble, let me know. I’ve caused you enough problems.”
He smiled bitterly. “It’s all because of my situation that you’ve been dragged into this mess.”
Tiffany’s voice was steady. “It’s done, don’t dwell on it.”
“Focus on recovering now that you’re safe. Don’t worry about anything else.”
With that, she hung up the phone.
After a while, Tiffany followed Leon out of the room. They walked hand in hand downstairs, where they saw several police officers.
Tiffany frowned, puzzled. “What’s going on? Is something wrong?”
She felt uneasy, not expecting this.
Her eyes flickered, and she saw a girl being taken away by the police.
“Let go of me! Let go!”
“What did I do wrong? I was just punishing someone who betrayed love! He’s not a good person.”
“Leon!”
Suddenly, she saw Leon and became more agitated. “Leon! Look at your wife! She’s betrayed you, yet you’re so close to her.”
“I have nothing else to say, but keep your people away from my idol! He’s busy with his career and doesn’t need distractions.”
“If you keep bothering us, don’t blame us for being rude!”
With that, she was taken away.
Tiffany and Leon stood still, their faces calm. As the police left, the murmurs around them grew louder.
“What’s going on?”
“Maybe some people just play around like that. They look loving on the surface but do their own thing behind the scenes.”
“That would explain everything. I just didn’t expect this.”
“Knowing his wife cheated, yet acting like nothing happened—this guy’s impressive.”
Tiffany looked away, trying to stay calm, but she felt a bit dazed.
She took a deep breath, feeling embarrassed and unsure of what to do. Just then, Leon stepped forward.
“Leon?”
She called out, but he was already facing the crowd.
His brow furrowed, he spoke seriously. “I know you’re all curious about what’s happening. You saw some drama and don’t know the whole story.”
“I don’t want my wife troubled by these rumors, so I’ll tell you directly. She didn’t cheat. The photos were just her protecting our company’s artist.”
“Please stop spreading these rumors. If I find anyone doing so, I’ll consider legal action.”
His tone was firm, and his gaze unwavering.
The crowd, which had been whispering, fell silent. Though curious, they were visibly uneasy.
No one wanted to provoke such a powerful figure.
