Chapter 87 All the Men in the World Revolve Around Her

Looking at the figure running off into the distance, Kenna seemed lost in thought, a faint smile on her lips..

Unlike her exaggerated, flirtatious smile from before, this smile carried a hint of tenderness.

"Kenna, don't tell me you actually like Rhett?"

Elsie said suspiciously.

"I'll never trust men in this lifetime. Men from these wealthy families—sure, he seems innocent now, but sooner or later he'll become a devil who breaks girls' hearts!"

Kenna lifted Elsie's chin with her finger and said with a snort.

She'd gotten carried away with her teasing and was now flirting with her.

"That's painting with a pretty broad brush. My son Jasper is definitely going to be a good man when he grows up."

Elsie brushed Kenna's hand away.

"Oh, please! Jasper inherited genes from you and... Jasper's father. When he grows up, he'll be just as good-looking as Rhett. Just you wait—Jasper's going to break so many girls' hearts!"

After saying this, Kenna dashed back into the house, calling out:

"You two little ones, you can come down now. We're about to have dinner. Today I'm starting your lessons. Jasper, you need to learn how to avoid becoming a bad man. Faye, as a girl, you need to learn how to spot bad men. To avoid being fooled by bad men, you've got to start learning young!"

Elsie followed right behind, laughing and scolding: "Give it a rest! The kids are so young, how would they understand any of this!"

The next day.

Elsie didn't go to PAT Marketing Company. Instead, she went to the Wilson Group.

She had plenty of time, and there wasn't much to do anyway.

So she didn't go during normal working hours—she didn't arrive at the Wilson Group until around eleven in the morning.

Walking through the lobby, she naturally couldn't avoid everyone's stares.

Elsie's phone received several group chat screenshots from Katya:

"Elsie's at headquarters again!"

"My goddess, I saw her. Today's a lucky day. I'm going to remember this exact time and come at this time every day from now on!"

"You jerk, what are you thinking? Obviously, she's going to Daniel's office. They're a perfect match—talented man and beautiful woman. It's not your turn to fantasize."

"Which shameless person asked me for Elsie's photos yesterday, and now you're calling me out..."

"You losers, stop being gross in the group chat. What brand is that black coat Elsie's wearing today? It looks really nice."

"Probably just a regular style. With Elsie's looks and figure, she looks good in anything."

Then, several secretly taken photos of Elsie's profile were posted in the group.

Elsie didn't feel the slightest bit happy. Instead, she found all the people in the elevator looking straight ahead somewhat creepy.

What were these people thinking about all day...

She replied: "Katya, I'll be at the office soon."

"Don't worry. Mr. Wilson wasn't in this morning. He should be back later."

"You understand me best!"

Elsie breathed a sigh of relief. Last night, she'd gotten a message from Katya to come this morning to pick up the latest contract proposal materials for this afternoon's meeting.

Since getting up early this morning, Elsie had been worried about running into Daniel and having him mock her again.

Daniel's office was on a high floor.

As fewer and fewer people remained in the elevator, by the time it reached the upper floors, only Elsie was left.

She'd been a bit nervous earlier—that weird feeling where everyone pretends not to know you, but you're the topic of discussion on their phones. She didn't like that feeling at all.

Walking into Katya's office, she saw Katya smiling and greeting her:

"Good morning, Elsie, first-place winner of the Wilson Group beauty contest!"

As she spoke, she showed Elsie her phone. Someone had just started a poll in the group for a Wilson Group beauty contest.

In just three minutes, hundreds of people had voted, with Elsie's votes leading by a landslide.

These people really had nothing better to do...

"Your name isn't even on the list. The credibility of this ranking is questionable."

Elsie didn't want to stick out. She just wanted to do her job well. The less attention she could attract, the better. Otherwise, if word got to Daniel or Wren, Jada, Aria, and others, who knew what would happen.

Katya smiled sheepishly, "As the person who started the poll, if I put my own name on it, they'd definitely vote for me because I'm Daniel's secretary. That wouldn't be fair."

Elsie paused, only now noticing that the poll was indeed started by Katya.

She couldn't help but smile wryly.

"It's just to help you relax and restore some confidence after being beaten down by Mr. Wilson, so you have enough energy to face this afternoon's meeting."

As she spoke, Katya placed the printed and organized materials in Elsie's hands and made an exaggerated cheering gesture, like a fan at a rally:

"Go get 'em, Elsie! Victory from the start!"

"Go! Go! Go!"

Coming out of Katya's office, Elsie checked the time. Noon.

The meeting was at 1:30 PM. She had plenty of time.

She could grab lunch near the office and review the project materials while organizing her thoughts.

Just as she walked out of the building, she ran into Jada coming toward her, talking on the phone.

"Daniel, I just got to the office. Where are you?"

"Yes! I made another version of the proposal last night. Why don't you take another look and see if we can use it for our project with the Morgan family?"

"Okay, okay. Then I'll wait for you in the lobby."

Jada's voice was unusually gentle when talking to Daniel.

Presumably, after her office meltdown yesterday, Jada had shown a good attitude about correcting her mistakes and wanted to prove herself on the project.

At this moment, Jada, having hung up the phone, noticed Elsie as well.

Not hiding the anger and venom in her eyes at all, she still looked around to make sure no one was there before lifting her chin proudly:

"What? Not staying home where you belong? What are you doing here, embarrassing yourself? Afraid people don't know you ruined the project?"

Then, looking Elsie up and down, she said as if suddenly understanding:

"You're here to see Daniel, aren't you? Why can't you give up? He's not here. He doesn't want to see you. Can you stay away from him? Daniel gets unhappy every time he sees you."

Glancing at Elsie, she thought about how her father Kai still hated Elsie yesterday. That sense of superiority from being favored arose, and she actually felt her mistake yesterday wasn't so bad—at least she learned that Kai only loved her as his daughter. Thinking about seeing Daniel soon made her happy, and she mocked:

"Though I guess it's understandable. Someone kicked out by her own father—did you really think all the men in the world revolve around you?"

Elsie didn't want to start another conflict at this critical moment. She had more important things to deal with today.

She just smiled and didn't respond.

Just then, a man's voice sounded behind her:

"You're right—all the men in the world do revolve around her."
