Chapter Thirty-Two
Kyla's POV
I'm tired of going back and forth. For once, I just want to know the truth, about everything and that time is now.
"Tell me everything,” I demand showing no emotion except untapped anger.
"Firstly, I want you to know I was only trying to do what I thought was best for you."
"Amazing. Now tell me everything,” I demanded folding my arms.
"Well, after the dare I found out Tony had feelings for you, and so did I so we put aside the rivalry with Richard and Stein and we were determined to get you out, but he didn't know we had history together." He paused probably waiting for a comment from me.
"Continue..." I mumbled seeing his demeanor.
"So the guys got together, and all so Tony quickly told me about how you would never go on if an additional bet is made. He brought the idea, he said they were already suspicious which is why he couldn't do it. I wanted you to get as far away from them, so I took matters in my own hands. It was supposed to work."
"It did,” I huffed.
"I'm sorry about everything Kyla. I just hope you can forgive me. I don't deserve it, but I hope you can. I'm really sorry,” I huff again at his apology. One which I was barely paying attention to. Things are fitting in quite nicely and making sense. It's time to put matters into my own hands. I know exactly what to do and end this shit. I should've done it long, long ago but better late than never.

The final bell rang making me spring into action. I sent a text to Richard and Stein telling them to come with Riley and Joanna. According to what Joanna said, Riley and she were besties now, so it shouldn't be too hard. I would handle Tony and Ryder later. I exhaled to clear the nervousness from the air. They all arrived at the same time. I couldn't practice what to say in my head. I'll just go with the flow.
"I'm out of here."
Riley says noticing I was there.
"I won't take much of time since you're in such a hurry. I'll start with you then. I know you made it clear Riley but I'll going to make it clearer right now. You and I aren't friends anymore. I realized that we never were because you judged me, and you acted like our years together was nothing. I'm setting you free now. This is my final goodbye,” I said in one breath and looked away facing Joanna.
"And you, I was going to say you screwed my life, but I think in a way you opened my eyes. This dare did a little good to me Joanna, but I won't be your lab dog anymore. If you want to do anything, do it yourself and leave me the hell alone,” I spat out viciously and looked away facing Stein.
"Truthfully, I'm sorry I dragged you into this messy shit. I don't know if your confession was real or not, but my life was boring and average without you in it and I'll really like to get back to that. I'm sorry." I paused feeling extremely sad.
"Maybe if we had met under different circumstances this would've been better but right now, I just can't,” I breathed out in relief. Surprisingly, he nodded his head. I saved the best for last. I turned and faced Richard. He had an unreadable expression, but I just couldn't look away. I sighed not knowing exactly what to say.
Just then, as I opened my mouth to speak he cut me short.
"Don't. Let's go Stein."
My heart bled at his words. My eyes twinkled and I waited for him to say something else. He didn't. Seconds later, he walked away without waiting for Stein to follow.
