Chapter 51

Lawrence didn't expect that Dorothy would make sacrifices for the sake of profit.

Dorothy returned to the company and went straight to find Kyle.

"This bidding case, I'll leave it to you," Dorothy said directly.

"Don't worry, leave everything to me," Kyle smiled.

"Then I'll take my leave," Dorothy stood up, nodded slightly at him, and then turned to leave.

This bidding case was crucial to the lifeline of the Carnegie Corporation.

If they lost, the Carnegie Corporation would definitely suffer a heavy blow and never recover.

Dorothy walked to the elevator, which had just arrived. The elevator doors opened, and Dorothy stepped in, waiting for the elevator to descend.

The elevator stopped at the top floor. As the doors opened, Dorothy's pupils widened, and a look of shock flashed across her face.

"Zachary."

Zachary stood outside the elevator, looking down at Dorothy.

"What bad luck," Zachary sneered, reaching out to press the elevator button.

Dorothy took a deep breath and asked calmly, "What are you here for?"

Zachary approached the elevator, arms crossed, "Naturally, to make a deal with you. I think you'll be interested."

"What kind of deal?" Dorothy asked warily.

"It's simple," Zachary's lips curled into a sinister smile, "As long as you agree to cooperate with me, we can win this bid together."

Dorothy frowned, pondered for a moment, and said, "This deal is tempting, but I think, with your capabilities, Zachary, there must be more to it, right? Do you have another agenda?"

Dorothy narrowed her eyes.

She had experienced Zachary's capabilities before, and his cunning was unmatched. Otherwise, how could he have reached his current position in just three years?

"You're not too stupid," Zachary raised an eyebrow, half mocking.

"Don't flatter me," Dorothy snorted coldly.

"I know you have a grudge against the Carnegie Corporation, which is why you're unwilling to be suppressed by them and want to take back what's yours," Zachary said, "But have you considered that the Carnegie Corporation is quite prominent in Melondor? Yet now you're facing deeply rooted industries. How do you plan to deal with them?"

"I have my ways!"

Dorothy's eyes darkened, and she looked cold.

"Really?" Zachary sneered, looking disdainful.

"No need for your concern."

Seeing her so guarded, a smile appeared on Zachary's lips.

Dorothy, however, couldn't feel at ease.

Why was Zachary here?

Was it simply to seek mutual benefit, or was it a deliberate threat?

Zachary's eyes became sharp, and a cruel, bloodthirsty smile appeared on his lips.

Zachary's gaze made Dorothy shudder, but she quickly concealed her emotions and said coldly, "Don't worry, I'll consider it."

"Suit yourself," Zachary said, then walked into his office.

Dorothy watched Zachary's back, filled with intense anger.

Damn Zachary! How dare he look down on her!

Zachary clenched his fist.

She would make him pay!

The Carnegie Corporation.

Dorothy sat on the sofa in her office, looking at several documents on the table.

One of them was the contract for the collaboration between the Boleyn Corporation and the Carnegie Corporation.

Looking at the contract, her heart was filled with bitterness.

Now, the Boleyn Corporation was aggressively buying her father's stocks. At this moment, she finally understood that the Boleyn Corporation was determined to swallow the Carnegie Corporation.

And the reason the Boleyn Family was targeting the Carnegie Corporation was to vent their anger for Sienna?

Thinking of this, Dorothy frowned tightly. She picked up the contract and studied it carefully.

The contract was signed last night, and Raymond had someone deliver it to the Carnegie Corporation this morning.

This indicated that Zachary was already wary of the Carnegie Family.

But who were the Carnegie Family?

Such a large family business couldn't be easily toppled.

The more Dorothy thought about it, the more confused she became. She angrily crumpled the contract in her hand.

A knock suddenly sounded.

Dorothy snapped back to reality. She looked up and saw a man wearing sunglasses and a black suit pushing open her office door.

"Who are you looking for?" Dorothy asked.

The man's face was hidden behind the sunglasses, but Dorothy could still feel the strong pressure.

The man walked up to Dorothy and took off his sunglasses, "Mr. Carnegie's socialite, indeed lives up to her reputation."

Dorothy's eyes widened in shock, looking at the man in front of her.

Her heart was full of doubts.

Could he be someone sent by Raymond?

Thinking of this, her hair stood on end, "Did Raymond send you?"

"Mr. Stuart said he's here to solve your problems," the man said calmly.

"Solve my problems?" Dorothy's mind immediately conjured up Raymond's cold, evil face, and she couldn't help but shiver.

"Miss Carnegie, I believe that with Mr. Stuart's capabilities, acquiring a small Carnegie Corporation wouldn't be difficult," the man's gaze fell on the document in Dorothy's hand, "The Carnegie Corporation is nearly bankrupt. Don't you think you have no capital left to survive in this city?"

Dorothy felt very uneasy.

She didn't expect this man to know these inside details and be so familiar with the Carnegie Corporation's situation.

"So, you're Raymond's spokesperson?"

"Yes and no," the man smiled faintly, "I'm Mr. Stuart's special assistant."

"So, he wants you to be his spokesperson," Dorothy realized, "I knew it. With his methods, acquiring the Carnegie Corporation would be a piece of cake."

"Yes, our Mr. Stuart has always been remarkable. However, his methods are also very profound."

Dorothy's heart couldn't help but race.

Raymond's methods were profound?

Dorothy couldn't help but wonder if he was lying.

"Miss Carnegie, you now have two choices: one, issue a statement to explain the situation, or two, stay here and wait for the Carnegie Corporation's acquisition," the man's tone carried a hint of threat, "You are Mr. Carnegie's daughter. Your choice is the Carnegie Corporation's fate. I'm just here to deliver the message. What you do is up to you."

After hearing the man's words, Dorothy fell silent.

At this moment, the secretary knocked on the door and walked in.

Dorothy glanced at the secretary, then at the man. She then excused herself to discuss something and quickly stepped outside to dial a number. A familiar voice quickly answered on the other end, "What's wrong?"

It was Jonathan.
