Chapter 49: Sharing The News Part 2
Remy’s P.O.V.

After breakfast, the four of us decided to just hang out at home until it’s time to leave for work. We watched movies and talked, Russ asked me something unexpected and because Maddox and I haven’t talked about it yet. I figured that he could be waiting for the actual celebration on Saturday the night he was going to propose to me.

“Hey Rem, did the two of you start making wedding plans yet?”

“No, I mean he just proposed to me last night, and that wasn’t even the plan. The plan was to take me out this Saturday and propose.” I told him. As the afternoon went on it was eventually time for me to jump in the shower and get dressed for work. I mean the guys are already dressed, they can go in their everyday clothes since they work as bouncers, well, Russ probably as to change but nicer then what the other bartenders wear. I jump in the shower and wash my hair and body with the fragrance that I like the most, coconut. I get out, dried off and since the bathroom isn’t an in-suite I have my clothes in the bathroom with me, so Russ and Jett doesn’t see me wrapped up in a towel. I dress in a light blue suit dress and shoes to match. I then put on my make up while I have my hair wrapped in a towel. I put on light blue eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, light pink blush and pink lip gloss.

I come out of the bathroom and into mine and Maddox’s bedroom where I fix my hair into a princess braid. I then exit the bedroom to meet up with the others. Maddox and I get into his car as Russell goes to Jett’s car. We park and Maddox opens my door helping me out of the car, he then locks up and taking my hand he leads me to the door. Entering the bar, the excitement of telling everyone overwhelmed me so  much that I tightened my grip on his hand and pulled him into the downstairs office where Jess and I work.

“HEY JESS GUESS WHAT? MAD AND I ARE ENGAGED!!!” I yell at her. Maddox then whispers into my ear.

“Rem don’t call me that in public, not unless you want me to push you up against a wall and make love to you right here and now with everyone watching. My face turned as bright red as a tomato.

“Awe!!! Embarrassing her by whispering sweet nothings into her ear! How cute!” She says.

“Only if you knew Jess.” I said burying my face into his chest.

“Sorry Jess, but I have to steal this one away for a bit we have others to spread the good news to.” He says as it is now his turn to pull me along by the hand. First he takes me over to the bar. But he gets mad when we found out that someone else beat him to it.

“Hey you two, congratulations on getting engaged last night!” Jericho says shaking Maddox’s hand.

“Wait! Which one told you?” He asked him but before Jericho can answer someone else answers for him.

“I did!” Russ says as he stands up from behind the bar, he looks like he was stocking supplies underneath the counter. “Sorry man, I really didn’t mean to steal your thunder. I am just so happy for my little sister that I had to tell someone.”

“Yeah, well that’s ok I guess. Come on Remy let’s go tell Aston, or did you tell him too.”

“No, but I can if you want me too.”

“NOOOO!!! RUSS DON’T!!!” I said as I pull Maddox away from the bar counter and towards Aston’s office.

“How do you think he will react?” I asked him on are way there.

“Well, he was happy for us getting together, so maybe he will be happy for us about this too.” He says reassuringly. He knocks on the office door, we stand there a minute waiting for him to respond.

“Come in.” At his shut Maddox turns the doorknob and opens the door. Entering the office and walking towards the desk hand in hand, we stop in front of his desk. Just before Aston’s finishes adding something into the computer and looks up, Maddox grabs my left hand and holds it to him. He looks up towards us, then with eyes going wide he expresses what he is feeling. “WOW, OH MY!!! REMY, MADDOX PROPOSED? WHEN’S THE WEDDING, DID YOU PLAN ANYHTING, HOW DID HE ASK YOU?” Wow, he is worst then Jess was, you would think that these would’ve been the questions she’d ask, not Aston. God he can act like such a female at times.

“OK, slow down Aston. We haven’t made any plans yet.” I answered and then Maddox answered.

“She found the ring and because of all the negative scenarios running through her mind I just had too propose early. I was going to propose this Saturday but in stead we are just going to use as a celebratory dinner instead.” He finishes but I add.

“Even though we did have an early one last night!”

“Well, I had to. I just couldn’t pour us wine and leave it that.”

“But the same restaurant that you are planning to take me to.” I stated worried about his money issues. (Like a real married couple) I think to myself as he explains to Aston and me why he did it.

“Well, that is the best place to celebrate and since I already opened a bottle of wine, it was then it dawned on me that it’s only that restaurant’s food that would be perfect with the wine.” He explains then let’s out a breath.

“Well congratulations you two, I am rally happy for the both of you! Now you both need to get to work, this is taking up the first part of your shift already, it will be break time before you even start.” He says chuckling to himself as we exit the office and closing the door behind us. He walks me to the office door and gives me a small peck on the lips before taking his place at the front door.

Donavon’s P.O.V.

Orville and I have been collaborating with Gio for the past week now, his right this is going to take a while. So, far we have no new recruits and headaches to boot. Instead, o complaining to Orville and Gio about it I decided to think of who would be pissed off enough to join us. Then it hits me.

“I know what to do! I tell them as we are sitting around the kitchen table eating our take-out burgers and fries.

“What’s that!” Orville asks me after taking a bite of his burger and shoving a handful of fries into his mouth with it, then washing it all down with a long sip of cola.

“I can call Gilbert! He went out with her for a noticeably short time, like ten minutes before she caught him cheating on her. I bet he knows that new guys phone number to, it was because of her he got fired along with Gilbert. Oh, then there is the ex.”

“If it is the one from college, I will take care of that.” Orville says.
