Chapter 43: Planning On Taking Back What Is Mine
Jackson’s P.O.V.
As soon as I found out what their plans are and Gio’s last words I was in panic mode, I quickly finished packing my bags and when I was done I rushed out of the room as fast as I could while carrying my bags with me. I get to Jett and the first words out of my mouth was-
“TAKE ME TO SEE ASTON!!!”
“Calm down and tell me why?”
“Remy’s in trouble!” It seems that was all had to say to get him to agree.
“Come on!” Jett says as we go back to his car, we get in and in no time we are back on the highway driving straight for Oasis.
“I think you Russell, Remy, Maddox and whoever else you think you my need present!” I informed him quickly as he continues to drive.
{Hey boss, I am coming back with Jackson. He has news that you and the others need to hear. Boss, Remy is in danger!}
{I am on it! But how true?}
{He just got off the phone with Gio that is all I know!} They stopped speaking and we get off the highway and onto the bar’s main road. We get out, both of us running in side and back up to Aston’s office. I notice that he called not only Remy, Maddox, and Russell but two other guys as well. We both take seats and when Aston looks over to me I start to talk about what I learned while I was on the phone with Gio.
“While I was at Jett’s packing I thought that I should call Gio and let him that you were sending me back to London. He told me how it would have helped him if I was able to stay there, of course I asked him why. He told me that he will be teaming up with Orville and Donavon and his exact words before hanging up was ‘’we will be coming for Remy soon!’ I knew I just had to tell you so that you could take proper precautions.”
“I should believe you why?”
“Listen, I know what you are thinking, you think that I am telling you all of this so that you will trust me enough to let me stay and if that happens you think that I would spy on you for Gio. He may be my best friend, but I am not stupid. To tell you the truth, I really don’t care if you keep me here or ship me out, but I will not let him ruin here anymore then she already is or was. I heard around about some of the things that she has been through, and I don’t have the heart to side with them.”
“I see, would you be willing to work with us against your boss, your best friend to keep a girl that you hardly know safe?” He asked me.
“Yes!”
“Ok, let me talk to them and get back to you, wait at the bar with Jericho.” He says, I get up to leave and before I do I look over to Remy and her boyfriend and wonder just how anyone would want to mess with a girl as sweet and caring as her. I walk to the bar like he asked me to and went to where Jericho is tending bar and sat down at the barstool there.
Aston’s P.O.V.
After Jackson walked out the door I looked over at everyone that is still remaining.
“Well, what do you all think?”
“I think that we should give him a chance.” Remy says, it is cute how naïve she is.
“WHAT! SIS, YOU HEARD HIM. Gio wants to use him as a spy!” “I know, but would he really tell us Gio’s plan if it could incriminate him?”
“Honey I love you, but you can be naïve sometimes. To answer your question, from experience yes, he would. He could be trying to earn our trust which let’s our guard down, then the swoop in and ‘BAM!’ you got taken away from me, from us. Do you understand?” Maddox said without sugar coating anything, a little hush but seems to be affective with the way she tilts her head in thought.
“I see what you mean, but if we watch him even though he must know that we will be, and if he even shows signs of betrayal we get rid of him!” Ok, maybe not so nave after all.
“So, you did think this through knowing us guys well. Ok, we will go with Remy’s suggestion if there are no objections!”
“I have no objections, but we have to make sure that she is still heavily guarded. What job are you planning to give him, knowing you it probably will a job where he has to show that he can be trusted?” Jett asked what they were all probably thinking he just beat them to it.
“He will work with Axel and Leon, with occasional guarding shift. I will pair him up with Carson for that when he comes back from tour.”
“How is he doing?” Remy asked because she was supposed to go watch him race but was in the hospital during it.
“Fine, the last time any of us spoke to him he was in England.” Jett said.
“OH WOW! If I knew that I would have gone to see him while I was there.” She said excitedly at first then her face dropped into a frown. Maddox noticing her change put his arm around her. Even though I am disappointed that she isn’t still with me I think that Maddox is good for her.
“Ok, so everyone is in agreement then?” I asked one last time before bringing him back in. (I will have to talk to Axel and Leon later when they come in for work. They all nodded in agreement.
“Ok, Jett go get Jackson and bring him back in. Oh wait, do you mind if he continues to stay with you, or I can let him stay in one of my apartment complexes?” I asked him just to make sure that he would have a place to stay. Jett Left to go get Jackson and I pull out my phone to put a text through to Axel.
“You wanted to see me?” Jackson says as he walks in and takes the seat that he was seating in earlier.
“Yes, we have decided that you will work for me. I am going to place you with Axel and Leon, I will introduce them to you when they arrive later tonight. Once Carson gets back from his F1 race tour I will pair you up with him when he has a bouncer shift. Other then that there will be shifts on guarding Remy as well. Usually, whoever works as a bouncer for the night is her bodyguards also, but I decided to put a bartender on her at work as well. That will give her three guards while she is here.”
“And three at the house also, well four, if you count Russell.” Jett added.
