CHAPTER 31 He Wiped Her Tears

He wiped her tears and they both came down from the car and entered into a shop where they sell teddy bears. They went in and he bought her a teddy bear of her favourite colour as they continued their journey.

Inside the car, as the car continued moving, Rose's eyes never left Mr. Evidence's face. So many thoughts ran through her mind. Evidence noticed her gaze on him but decided not to say a word. His cold and icy face appeared again as usual.

"Don't you want to leave the car?" he asked.

Rose snapped out of her dazed state. That question made her realize that they had reached their destination.

"Where is your phone?" He asked.

Rose climbed out of the car, leaving her teddy inside the car and handed her phone over to Mr. Evidence as he texted Annabel their Address.

"Your work starts now. Come." He ordered.

She walked towards him as he held her hand as if they were newly wedded couples.

They both walked in.

At a certain hotel called Rocking is free,

A large magnificent ballroom has been meticulously set up. It was obvious that it was a very important and a high class party. The chandelier dangling towards the ceiling provided a little sparkle of different colours of lights. From different directions of the room, giving the room a feeling of being under a bright night sky. Many round tables were arranged around the room, decorated tastefully with gold and red color which represented wealth, prosperity and good fortune.

On the wall were sparkles of light that shone brightly around, welcoming whoever that wanted to come in. They were different colours of light such as red, blue white and yellow. But that wasn’t what caught one's eyes! Inside the ballroom were a group of people wearing expensive clothes, jewelry and other accessories that were worth millions of dollars . It was as if their outfit were planned. All the women were wearing dinner gowns while the men wore suits of the same colour as their partner. Rose realized that all the women were with their partners. They were so classic. The women’s earrings, rings, and necklace and bracelet all together shone brightly as the reflection of the lights met with their gold jewelleries.

Anyone who took a glimpse inside the room would Immediately know that this was a gathering of the most influential rich and powerful people. And of course, this being a mask party, each one of them wore a face mask covering some part of their faces and few wore masks that covered every corner of their faces, either female or male, Adding more mystery to the already mysterious people inside the room.

Walking inside with her hand on Mr. Evidence, there was the scene that Rose was presented with and her eyes were as wide as saucers and her jaw dropped in awe.

She had seen an image made with real gold. She wondered how long it had been there without attracting some armed robbers.

She never could have imagined such a luxurious party, she only thought such parties were fictional.

She started to wonder why Mr. Evidence had told her they were going to a night party. Though, he didn't lie. Earlier, Rose had thought that he was referring to a nightclub. Seeing such a party, Rose was speechless.

She snapped out of her awestruck daze when Mr. Evidence guided her to the Champaign foundation and offered her a seat in a romantic way.

He took a glass of wine and gave it to her before taking one for himself.

"Thank you." she said as she sipped her drink.

"Whatever I say, do it and don't ask questions. Understood?"

"..." she didn't reply.

He noticed that the girl's attention was somewhere else. She was busy looking around like she came from a very local home and hadn't seen such a place. Annabel, whom she lived with might have taken her to so many parties but not so luxurious as this one presented to her.

"Why are you looking at him?" He asked jealousy.

"huh? Looking at him? Who am I looking at?" She asked.

"Are you asking me? I should be the one asking you that question. Who are you looking at? You do not have any permission to look at any man but me. You are my caregiver and your attention should be on me alone and no one else."

"I wasn't looking at anyone. Are you jealous?"

"Jealous of what."

"I don't know." Rose replied.

"I don't know either. Just don't look at any other man but me. If not, we will leave this party."

"Leave?"

"Yes. Leave!"

That was the last thing Rose wanted. How could she leave when she just arrived?

"Ok. I won't look."

"Good girl."

When he said those jealous words to her, she was surprised and confused. When he said those words, she wasn't able to know the expression on his face. It happened that the mask he was wearing had covered the whole of his face, showing just his cold and icy eyes, preventing her from seeing his facial expression. She couldn't decipher if he was jealous or angry or even sad.

A few moments later, a cute gentleman passed by as he admired Rose.

"I didn't look at him." She said,

"Did I say you did?"

"I wanted to justify myself so that you don't get angry at me."

"So tell me about yourself. Do you live with your parents? He asked curiously.

"I live with my friend. I mean the one you sent an address to with my phone a moment ago."

He creased his brow. "I see."

"What of your parents?"

"I lost them at a tender age."

"You have relations?"

"None that I know of. I have just Annabel. She is my everything. Based on the story I heard from people, I was told my mom and father's marriage wasn't approved by both parents so they left home, away from their family."

"Hmmm. See love." He smiled after he said those words.

"Well, have you had an orgasm before?" He gave out a naughty look.

"Huh? What's orgasm?"

A phone call interrupted.
