"You said that?" Miyuki raised an eyebrow, she didn't drink the tea that was almost in her mouth because she would definitely choke if that happened.

“Why are you so surprised? Is that something wrong?"

“James, you say it like a lover. I'm sure he's only around 16 or 17 years old maybe, you're too much James!"

“I think I said a fair thing, considering he lives with me now. I already consider him like my own little brother." James said, confirming his words. In fact, he still couldn't believe what was going through his mind right now, as if everything in his life right now was only about Eli and how to make the poor girl recover from her trauma.

"At least you think about other people's feelings when you want to say something like that, there is always the possibility that one day your feelings for that girl will turn into special feelings!"

"What are you talking about? that's not possible !"

"Ok...ok...so what did you call me here for?"

"I want you to help me."

"Help you?"

"Yes, considering that you are a woman and I think you can also help Eli as a fellow woman, of course that will really help him recover from the trauma he is feeling right now." James said, his eyes looked at Miyuki expectantly.

"I want you to come to my house sometimes and talk to Eli, I think he needs someone to talk to. I'm sure it could help him a lot.”

Miyuki said with a chuckle, of course she was teasing James at the moment. For him, James took life too seriously.

“Miyuki…remember, you are also responsible for Eli's accident. You know that very well, don't you?"

"Are you threatening me James?" Miyuki brought her face closer and looked serious.

"Yes of course !" James replied with a face that was no less serious.

The atmosphere was silent for a few seconds, Miyuki and James just looked at each other with the same expression. Miyuki suddenly let out a choking sound and a burst of very excited laughter.

“Hahaha… stupid, you know I can't look at you like that. Why are you even looking at me too!" said Miyuki while laughing broadly, she continued laughing while holding her stomach which was starting to tighten.

"Because I know exactly that you won't possibly refuse me, Miyuki!"

"Stupid..." Miyuki smiled, James made him unable to move. He continued to hide the same feelings since he started getting to know James 8 years ago. He really loved the man perhaps more than anything, but James didn't seem to care. Miyuki was nothing more than a friend, the best friend to him.

This afternoon James asked Miyuki to come to his house to see Eli's condition, which was slightly better than when he was treated in hospital. Miyuki walked calmly with James beside her, they looked at each other for a moment before entering the room where Eli was currently.

"He's alone?" Miyuki asked, looking at Eli sitting alone on a sofa without doing anything, Eli just looked down playing with his fingers while tapping his shoes on the floor. In fact, Eli can't act normally even though his appearance is much better.

"Yes... I asked him to sit there and wait, he was very obedient!"

"You asked him to wait while observing him from afar, is that right?"

"Yes…"

"Come on James, he's not a guinea pig, you can't do that!"

“I know, I just want to see the progress. I never meant any harm at all, and I already told you, you don't need to worry. Eli…”

James approached Eli who was still in his place, but it seemed that what Miyuki was thinking was right, the girl was moving erratically with her feet continuously tapping on the floor. His condition was very abnormal, his face was pale and he was completely unaware of what he was doing.

"Eli, are you okay?" James immediately embraced Eli and saw his condition as closely as possible. James felt very guilty and he realized he shouldn't have done this.

"James..." Eli hugged James, and this was the first time he called James' name after all the time they had been together.

James returned Eli's hug, he didn't know why he was feeling what he was feeling right now. The feelings of joy and emotion became one, and the most important thing was that James knew that now Eli had truly accepted him.

"Thank God, it seems like he has accepted you and I think soon you will be a good foster parent." Miyuki said with a smile, her hand gently holding Eli's hair.
