Chapter 10
Eli ran as fast as she could to stop the boy's actions, she didn't want to see other people die before her own eyes.
“D-don't…!” Eli shouted as she grabbed the boy's arm.
“L-let me go...!” He said rebelliously.
The boy was shocked, he didn't expect that someone would see him wanting to jump. He immediately brushed Eli's hand away and ran, leaving Eli speechless. The boy was scared, even though his face wasn't very clear, Eli could see his eyes. The boy was crying and from the look in his eyes he looked very miserable.
“W-,why is he crying?” Eli thought, the boy's image immediately disappeared into the darkness of the night.
***Last night's events made Eli unable to sleep, she couldn't forget the look in the boy's eyes. There's something strange about him, why does he want to jump? does he want to commit suicide? Did he suffer so much that he decided to die? There were many questions in Eli's head, but he couldn't answer any of them.***
***So far, she has never thought hard, because her brain is too weak to accept difficult things. She never even graduated from elementary school because she couldn't read or count. Eli never knew what really happened to her. Why was she different from other people? Even though she tried to ask her father and mother, she didn't get an answer but curses and beatings. Eli knew that she was different because she was as stupid as her parents said.***
***After her mother and father went to work, her older sister and younger brother had gone to school, Eli always stayed at home alone. She was always forced to do all the housework, starting from washing clothes for all family members, washing dishes and storing used beer bottles, cleaning the house and also cleaning the bathroom. Even though she does everything, for some reason, she is only fed once a day by her parents. Eli couldn't complain, because she wasn't allowed to talk at home.***
***When her family members came home, Eli went straight to her room, which was actually a dark warehouse where used beer bottles and other unused items were stored. She was always ready for insects or mice to bite his feet if he slept too soundly. Eli always waited for night to come, only at night could he feel a little comforted.***
***At 1 am Eli's family was asleep, she started sneaking out of her house with a bruise on her forehead from her father's punch. Tonight, Eli managed to get out again, she immediately ran away from her house to the old building where she met the mysterious boy and the wooden doll she found last night.***
***The old building was the same as last night, dark and eerie. Eli climbed the fence and looked around for the wooden doll she found. Suddenly one of the lights on the right side of the building came on, Eli was shocked and didn't think there was anyone in the place. Just as she thought, Eli saw the reflection of a man from one of the windows. Eli was scared and tried to run away because she didn't want to get caught because she had entered here without permission and taken things from this place.***
***“Hahaha…feel it, how do you do it? What does it feel like for a stupid woman!” Said a man in the old building. Eli fell silent when she heard the laughter of several adult men and the moaning of a woman.***
***“Uh…no, please don't….!” Said a woman while moaning as if she was in pain.***
***Not only that, Eli heard the sound of someone crying from inside the building. Out of curiosity, Eli tried to get closer and peek at what was actually happening inside that place.***
***"Hahaha...why are you crying? You should be happy, right?"***
***Eli peeked out of one of the slightly open windows, there was a very unpleasant view. There were four men standing around a woman, one of the four men was middle-aged and the other three were still young.***
***Eli could see that the woman was crying and moaning in pain, she was almost naked but Eli could only see their backs.***
***There was blood all over the floor, and in the corner of the room there was a boy wearing only underwear. One of the four men dragged the boy to their place, the boy struggled while crying, his face was covered in blood but his eyes were still clearly visible. Eli couldn't believe that the child was the child he met last night, the child who was about to jump into the waterfall.***
***"No…! How is this?” She was shaking with fear and she immediately ran to look for help. When she saw it, she realized that the four men were not the family of the woman and the boy, they were bad people.***
***Eli was standing in the middle of the road, a car honked its horn and immediately stopped.***
***“Hey, what are you doing? You want to die, don't you?" Shouted the car driver.***
***“Please...! Please sir, there are people injured in that place. You have to help them!" She asked, stuttering, cold sweat dripping all over her body.***
