Bad Luck

Ruby breathed the cool air from the top of Rosemary Hill where she often cried alone. This place was still the same as the last time she came here with Aiden, Henry, Damian and Jacob.

Somehow the five of them started to become friends even though the relationship between her and Henry was still quite bad. The only reason why Henry wanted to be friends with a girl who had previously been a victim of his bullying was because of Damian.

Jake once said that the only reason why he and Henry could be friends was because Jake and you had been friends since you were in kindergarten, your mothers also got along very well so that Jake, who was originally quiet and shy, felt that he felt very comfortable being friends with you."

"I didn't know Jake told you that."

"But I still don't know why you two are friends with Aiden? You and Henry are cousins, then you and Jake have been friends since the age of five, so Jake and Henry can be friends too, but Aiden? How do you two know each other?"

"Enrique Castillo? Isn't he the leader of the mafia group whose name often appears in the news?"

"You have a boyfriend?" Damian asked. He felt ridiculous that this question had to come out of his mouth.

"I used to have a boyfriends, but in the end they acted the same as my dad."

"Really?"

"You know how my dad is, right? He looks like a crazy drunk who always shouts at my mom and me whenever he gets into trouble or feels like he's always unlucky."

"Your boyfriend is like that?"

"As Henry once said, no man wants to spend one night with me. If they want to stay away from bad luck."
