Part 111 a

"Is this enough pressure?" Thomas asks while gently pressing Olive's legs. The first time he massages, his wife screams in pain. She says Thomas seems like an insensitive masseur. However, Thomas does it very carefully, but because Olive grimaces and looks annoyed, Thomas gives in.

"Enough," Olive settles herself. In her hand, a bowl containing banana split with three scoops of ice cream, as a companion. Sometimes, she still wipes her wet cheeks. She sits comfortably on the couch, right on Thomas's lap.

Her husband seems much more relieved, well... um, Olive could say she's the one who reminded him. Talking, even in a blunt language and not liking it, but she's not ignoring Thomas anymore. It doesn't feel right to ignore Thomas for too long. Besides... he's also silly!

Being pregnant and her husband is the one crying! If you don't want to get pregnant, then don't let your husband ride you!

Olive's thinking is extraordinary.

"What do you want to eat before going to the hospital? I already told them to prepare the car," Thomas asks.

"Nothing," Olive spoon-feeds herself the ice cream again. "Not hungry."

"You vomited everything you ate earlier, right? Eat, even if it's just a little."

"I don't want to, Bae," Olive sulks. "Just massage my feet. So I can be strong to face the fact that I'm pregnant."

Thomas can only shake his head in wonder, but what else can he do, this is his wife. Even normal people test patience. What's more, with pregnancy hormones. Thomas's patience is even more tested, right?

"You can talk about other things, but don't give the impression that you're forced to be pregnant, Bee," Despite this, Thomas still has to give guidance. Pampering his wife isn't a problem, Thomas knows that for sure. But if Olive's pampering makes her behave rudely, Thomas won't tolerate it. But Thomas also has to act maturely to give guidance. Can't just get angry and talk loudly.

Olive can distance herself and mess up all the problems.

"Oh, I'm right, Bae," Olive blinks. She places the bowl of ice cream, which is only left a little, there. Or rather, she finishes it until the last bite and just devours the banana slices. "I have to be strong to face this pregnancy. I've never been pregnant, right? I don't know what will happen. Not because I'm forced. Ugh! You're so sensitive." Olive grimaces. "You're supposed to be the sensitive one. I'm the one who's pregnant. I'm the one who will feel the strangeness in my body. Not you. Always accusing."

See, Thomas is always wrong when he speaks. Plus now Olive's feet are no longer on his lap. Her hands are clasped again with sharp eyes glaring at Thomas.

"Not accusing, Bee," Thomas says, sighing deeply. "I don't want you to feel like you're forced to go through all this." He approaches where his hands try to rub Olive's still-flat stomach. "If there's indeed life inside here, which I'm sure there is, and you keep giving the impression that you're forced, it's going to be sad, you know."

Olive rolls her eyes. She feels like asking her hand to knock on her husband's head. But if it's just the intention, the angels won't record it, right? Not intending to be rude to her own husband. But why is her husband so insensitive! His conversation goes one way, hers goes the other. Annoying indeed! Why did Olive even want to marry someone as annoying as Thomas?

"I didn't say I'm forced, Bae," Olive now stares at Thomas intently. "I'm just still shocked. I said that earlier, didn't I? Yet, I still want to date you. Go everywhere together. Be happy together with my husband. A date where we're not afraid of getting caught by the police, for example, when we stay at OYO or Red Dors because we're married."

Oh God, why does Olive have so many weird vocabularies, huh? Thomas is left stunned. His wife is pregnant but why is her mouth getting weirder?

"So now I really have to take care of myself much better. I also know there's someone depending on me in my belly now. But it doesn't mean I can't feel surprised, right? It's not easy for you to just say, 'Deal with it patiently.' Don't feel forced or anything," Olive sneers at Thomas. "Next time, I'll pray to God so that men can also feel pregnancy. Let them know how it feels!"

Thomas chooses to just follow Olive. Not because his wife just got up and walked with annoyed steps and a seriously grim face. Convincing Olive, who was still wrapped in a blanket just an hour ago, was already hard enough. And now she's sulking again? Good Lord! Thomas really needs to buy a stock of patience, it seems.

Olive then settles back on the bed. Which is definitely messy. Basically, she's just been wandering around the room all day. There's no desire to go out and enjoy the beautiful beach there. Who cares! She can visit here again some other time. If Thomas doesn't want to take her out again, she'll ask her mother to accompany her.

"Bee," Thomas says softly. He lies down beside Olive. Even though he only enjoys the back of his wife still in pajamas, Thomas doesn't mind. His wife's arm strokes aren't rejected either. That's more than enough for Thomas. "I'm sorry for speaking out of line again."

Olive stays silent. She doesn't resist when those strong hands encircle her belly. And she can feel her husband's breath tickling her neck. Thomas gives a gentle kiss on the side of her ear. "Don't be mad, okay? I'm sorry."

Actually, Thomas isn't wrong, though. Literally, Thomas gives advice that is good for her. No. Seriously, Olive doesn't feel forced when she finds out she's pregnant. She's just incredibly shocked. Why get pregnant now? But when the doctor, especially her mother, laughed at Olive's question, she started to think.

"Why, can I get pregnant?"

God! If anyone saw the doctor's face, first bewildered but then bursting into laughter, you would have joined in too. Not because. The question just slipped out as if without thinking further. Why get pregnant? Oh God! Hasn't Olive ever learned about biology and anatomy as well as sexual activities?

Still, Thomas gives a gentle stroke on Olive's back. Luckily this time, there are no sobs there. Her breathing is steady, though Thomas can still hear unclear mumblings from his wife.

"Let's eat first, okay? We'll get ready for the hospital soon."

"My stomach is pregnant, bae. Not suddenly turned into a sack!" Olive turns abruptly. Staring at her husband with a fierce and displeased look. Her mouth protrudes who knows how many centimeters, not to mention her eyes that increasingly resemble an eagle's. But swear to anything, Thomas just smiles. He lets his body lie next to Olive's even though he's propped up on his elbow.

"You eat a lot, Bee." If earlier it was her back that was the target, this time it's Olive's temple that gets the strokes. "I'm afraid just eating ice cream won't be enough for you. The server said, today's menu is grilled lobster with honey sauce."

"Is it spicy?"

"Do you want it spicy?" Thomas smiles. His bait worked.

"Make it slightly spicy, Bae. I'm getting hungry. But I want it to still be warm, if it's cold, I won't eat." Olive moves closer to Thomas. Nestling against Thomas's chest seems exciting for some reason. So that's what she does now. "Hug me," she requests.

"If we hug now, how do I tell the waiter at the restaurant?"

Olive falls silent.

"Or do you want to eat there? While looking outdoors at the beach not far from the cafeteria?"

The woman blinks slowly. "Is it crowded?"
