Chapter 47 The way of saying thank you

CHAPTER 47

ALLISON'S POV

"Are you guys plotting another cheap shot on me?" Xavier uttered as he walked back to us, I was a bit confused seeing an old paper in his hands, it looked more like a map but I wasn't the one going to ask him about it.

I'm just telling her about the weapons" Christian made it look easy for me, holding out a sickle as he swingles it back and front and then places it back at it's position.

"A guard just told me that there's a valley at Scotland where my father usually travelled to and that Valley might be the genesis of our problem" Xavier divulged, this was somewhat uninteresting wondering what his father had to do with my missing child, there couldn't be any connection that would lead me to my child.

"How do you know that?" I even hated the fact that Christian wanted to know more about this weird news.

"Well he showed me this" Xavier uttered as he gave Christian the paper, I was right after all t was a map, but the question was where does this map lead to? If it leads to my child I'll steal it and begin the journey immediately.

"I know this place, this was exactly the place where I was trained. I knew your father must have brought her mother from that valley, the reason is why" Christian exclaimed, Christian and Xavier were of same age, but the fact that Christian's knowledge was thrice the size of Xavier's knowledge got me thinking in various dimensions.

"We don't know why and we can't drift from the actual problem, we have to tackle what's at hand and not adding to it" Xavier retorted, he was right after all, I wanted my child and not some journey to an old valley to find a connection between tow dead people.

"This isn't adding this is getting to know about all the areas of what we're up against" Christian uttered as he looked at me, feeling a bit eager to hear what he has to say.

"What are you insinuating Christian?" I sighed,

"Maybe his father had a connection with her mother hence she was brought here" his words were true but it wasn't necessary to me.

"Fine Allison and Christian. You guys should head down to the library and find out what happened to the pack at the valley. I'll ask around from the elders" these words made me happy as I knew this was my last day in this castle, I had to go find my child.

"Is there a way out of here?" I asked, wondering if the library had some hidden doors that had tunnels that could lead to the outside world.

"There is but it seems someone is watching," He whispered, wondering if Xavier was watching us.

"Who's watching?" I asked, hoping that it wasn't Xavier, I knew he had sharp sight. He could spot a pin a mile away.

"The guard Xavier assigned, he's walking few feet away from us" I was relieved, but with the guard around I knew things had a greater possiblity of going south and the risk now was doubled. The guard could see me leaving and sound an alarm, even if I ran i wouldn't go far before getting caught and this time Xavier would have me walk around the castle with handcuffs of a tracker so he could be watching my movements.

"That's really weird" I stuttered shying the thoughts of fear and anxiety.

"Xavier had suspicions that's why he assigned a guard to watch us but don't you worry I have a plan to evade him so you can take the route in the library to leave this castle" Christian's words had me beaming with smiles.

"Are you serious?"

"I can't let a mother lose her child" he uttered as he led me into the library.

I was even surprised that the librarian was seated on his seat, reading intensively.

"Oh My Great Beta, I'm so sorry pardon me for not being aware of your presence..." he uttered as he dropped down the book in his hands.

"It's fine, you're engrossed in the book that's why. You're a librarian after all, having access to these books would surely mean a lot to you" Christian uttered, he didn't actually know that we were wasting our time, standing here I was so eager to leave, to be outside the castle when next my child calls to me.

"It's basically how I survive... How may I help you sir?" The Librarian had an attractive tone, I liked it.

"Do you have a book that contained the history about a pack in a valley?" Christian inquired,

"Hmmm, there are many packs in different valleys" he scoffs,

"Oh yeah, we don't actually know the name of the pack" Christian made it look so hard, I pulled out the map from his pockets.

"This pack and this valley. Do you have any history on this?" I made both of then shudder in fear.

"Let me have a look" he uttered as he looked at the book wearing his glasses.

"This is an ancient pack, it's prohibited to give that information to you." he stuttered as he closed his books.

"Are you seriously saying this?! I could have you removed from this position if you dare me. I'm the Alpha's wife and the Luna of this pack so don't get me wrong again when I say I need that book"

"Pardon me ma'am, let me take you to the shelf" he uttered as he wanted to come out of his position.

"Give us the number of the rows we'll take it from there" I growled as he looked through his records.

"Row 405" He stuttered,

"Thank you" I conceded to his words wearing a smile on my face.

"You really had that man rocked" Christian uttered as he laughed hysterically,

"I had you as well" his face was a bit red when I said these words.

"You're really a badass sometimes as Xavier said" he uttered as we walked through the rows, I was a bit tired knowing that the shelves was down the building, the building was more like a slope so I was finding it hard to walk through.

"I guess that's one of the doors you're speaking about" I divulged as

"Yes that's one of it," he uttered as I saw the guard standing beside the door, he was monitoring my movements.

"What he doing there?" I was pissed staring at the man that was about to make my plan unsuccessful.

"Like you said he was assigned to watch our movements" I hissed violently.

"How did he even get into the library, guards are banned from entering the library" Christian uttered,

"I've got the best idea, just watch me" I uttered as I walked through the shelf, pretending to be searching for a book.

"Please help, help me" I uttered as I fell to the ground, pretending as if I collapsed. The Librarian rushed to the scene, surprised to see the guard standing inside the building.

"How did you get in here? Do you want to lose your head, "He cared less about me, and focused more on the guard that was protecting the door.

"The Alpha assigned me"

"And the Alpha also assigned me to kill any guard who walks in here so I beg you to leave in the next five seconds" he chimed into his words, I was glad when this happened, I loved every bit of it.

"Now that he's away this is your chance to make a move, I'll help you open the door and if the librarian gets alerted I'll be the one to take the blame" Christian uttered as we got closer to the door.

"Is everything alright?"The librarian came to check as usual.

"Yes I've taken care of it, thank you... You can head back to your post"Christian ordered as he walked back to his spot.

We tiptoed to the door, he opened it. Staring at the grasses, I knew this was my final chance to make my choice whether to leave or stay.

"I'm going" I uttered as I hugged Christian, and kissed his lips, that was the only way I could say thank you for all that he did for me.

I shifted into my lycan from and ran through the trees, jumping off the waterfall. I transformed back to human before landing inside the water, I was glad that I was way past the world that caused me so much pain and misery.

Our world wasn't far from the human world if you used the forest routes but the normal routes takes a day or even more, but I was glad that in a few hours I was in the human world. It would take a while before Xavier finds me.

"How do I find my child?"

"Wait for his call" a voice echoed as I walked into an eatery.

"Good day ma'am What would you like to eat ma'am?" the receptionist was a bit friendly to me, this was very weird.

"What do you call this?"
