Chapter 129 pain
IDRIS'S POV.
The first thing I noted when we entered inside the package house. There was a number of eyes that were pointedly staring at us, following our every move as we walked. Although the adamant staring didn't last for so long, l could tell that they were all trying to sneak looks at us as we walked through hallways.
They were analyzing me with curiosity and something else l couldn't name. Idris was fuming and his eyes were. Per now Idris's eyes were fully red, he was angry and I heard him talk to his guards about some stuff. He was probably planning to kill Brian his brother. "Idris go in the ....", Just as he began, he was quickly interrupted by the loud clapping of hands.
"The human Luna is finally back", We all turned our attention to where the sound was coming from. It was no one else but Brian. He was clapping his hands with a mischievous grin on his face.
"BRIAN", Idris growled and just the growl made the ground tremble.
"Idris you don't have to fight", Another voice intervened. By the look, he was old and he seemed to be Idris and Brian's father.
"Let's go in the meeting, the advisors are gonna decide whether to have a human Luna or not", He went on before throwing up a glance in my way.
When I felt his glance at me, l didn't smile. I knew it that he didn't like me so pretending to be nice was useless.
"Yes father let the advisors decide", Brian responded happily then marched away. With him gone, The old man looked at Idris but Idris just gripped my waist and pulled me more closer to him. It was as if he was showing him that he was ready to choose me over him. "Let's go Idris", He spoke to me and I nodded my head in response.
I was at least happy that he was on my side.
At the sound of the heavy black door creaking open all of the voices that were echoing through the massive meeting hall ceased at once. Not even a whisper reached us over the sound of our shoes. Through the silence a shiver immediately ran down my spine accompanying the feeling of hard gazes examining me as though l was a wild animal.
"Took you so long to get here. Did you get lost my brother?", As soon as we entered inside, Brian started. He held a mocking tone in his voice. "Shut up your mouth Brian", It wasn't Idris who growled but their father. Out of the corner of my eyes l noticed Brian's knuckles turn white.
He was fuming with anger. He totally had no respect.
Walking to the chairs, I kept my head held high until when I sat next to Idris who had my hand in his grip. I could hear the blood rushing to my ears like an overflowing river but Idris's presence was slowly calming me down.
"We can't be ruled by a human", Just as I had breathed out, one immediately spoke with his hard glare at me. The one who spoke had long black hair and tied back. "I do agree with Frank on this, our pack is so strong to be ruled by a human", An older man with greyish skin, black eyes and a bald head grumbled. His face was lined showing the evidence of his age. They really had to believe him.
"A human can't fight a werewolf", Brian had a smile on his face as he spoke.
"I rather die than have a human as my Luna", Another advisor spoke.
"Thank you all for your inputs", The father lastly spoke out and all turned their attention to him, waiting for his final say.
Throughout the conversation l noticed one thing, Idris's mother was silent listening to the advisors.
"Idris those are the advisors of this pack", My thoughts were instantly interrupted when I heard Idris's father say my name.
"Huh!", My mouth fall open when I turned my gaze at him. He was seriously looking at me as if l was the only one in the room.
"That is the General of war, Andrew Buchman", He pointed at the old man who had greyish hair.
"Chancellor Tom Hall", He spoke as my gaze followed everyone he pointed at. Everyone in the room was speechless, not knowing what the old Alpha was up to.
"The one who said that he rather dies than be ruled by a human is Adam Clemson", l was now puzzled too as I inspected each advisor. I didn't know what the hell he was up to.
"This is my final say, Idris Martinez is the chosen Luna of this pack", His statement made silence to fall over the whole room. "Brian you betrayed and chose darkness over....."
"You don't have to say more", Just as the old man was saying, Brian interrupted. He shockingly laughed more loudly while clapping his hands.
"I knew it, l knew it... Haha", Brian roared loud with laughter evident in his voice.
"Brian behave", Their mother intervened loudly but that perhaps annoyed him because soon enough dark shadows appeared in the room. "Yes I chose darkness and am now more powerful... Haha... Haha", He laughed then dissipated. The black shadows were now everywhere.
"Brian...", It's the only thing I heard before I saw everyone in the room down.
Within seconds they were dead and shockingly it was only me and Idris still alive. "No father , no mother , no advisors haha....haha", Brian lastly appeared to where Idris was. "Are you done? Haha....", Idris shockingly laughed. "What do you mean?", Brian asked puzzled.
"What did you think?", Idris laughed as he watched Brian's jaw drop in disappointment. "I was silent throughout the whole meeting, waiting for your next reaction, you were a fool to think that the moon goddess would allow you kill them", Idris laughed at the last part then stood up.
"You chose darkness", Idris spoke while walking towards him. "You killed my mate", He angrily spoke. "Yes I did", Idris responded. At that Brian's nails instantly enlongated and within minutes he was lunging towards Idris. Everything happened quickly because before I knew it, Idris was digging his claws in Brian's hands.
"You know am more powerful than you", Brian chuckled before he quickly swiped his long claws at Idris's stomach and blood poured out from his white shirt down on to his pants, soaking them.
"Idris", l clutched my stomach like l was the one being hurt. I flinched more when Idris punched Brian in the chest then dug his nails too in his neck. "Shit", Brian growled then within minutes he disappeared in a silhouette. Black shadows were behind his body as he quickly fought Idris.
"Idris", l shouted in pain when I saw the condition Idris was in. He was fighting back but Brian with his evil powers seemed dangerous. "Let's see how you will rule this pack without him", Brian chuckled before he dug his nails again in Idris's stomach. This time it was so deep that Idris fell down while coughing blood.
"No father, no mother , no advisors, no alpha", Those were the last words Brian spoke while laughing before he disappeared in the shadows.
