Chapter 102 so powerful

Chapter 102 so powerful

"Care to explain yourself?", I turned my hard glare at the squirrelly little scientist.

"No..... I didn't betray you... All... The bombs are in the south... We in the north part of the building", The scientist immediately stuttered when my claws dug into his wrists.

"I swear upon my little son.... I haven't turned my back against you.... The helicopter is there", He went on with stuttering and sincerity was evident in his eyes.

"Go back to your son but once you say anything, l will come back for you", l growled. He nodded like a little frightened kid then ran away from us.

Everything was fine when we entered in the helicopter. The pilot was silently flying it but the helicopter seemed as if it wasn't moving at all as the blue expanse of water seemed never ending.

The spell had pointed to Goose island but the sky was darkening in the distance an omen to an incoming storm.

Without any word said, we kept moving but the dark clouds earlier were now looming ahead in the direction the helicopter was heading towards. Even with the enhanced visions of me, it was impossible to see through the wall of dark clouds that were rolling as though they had their own monstrous life surging with them.

"What is happening?", I lastly asked, turning my glare at the witch.

"No wait.... this is where the spell was directing us. Raelynn was here", She again murmured to herself as the buffets roared the air around us.

"She is doing this.... She is the cause of this Idris",

Just as she was talking, the pilot began to fiddle with the controls and huff in frustration at whatever he was reading on the screen. "What is it!", I snapped at the pilot.

"The island is supposed to be here but am not seeing anything here",

"What the fuck do you mean, you don't see it?", I was gritting my teeth as l fought the urge to bite his head off.

. "It's here l can feel it", The witch spoke up from the back though her aviation headset. I leaned away from the pilot then turned my glare at her again.

"This storm is your mate's doing..... It looks unnatural", She went on.

"What are we going to do then?"

"The only thing we can do is go lower until we land. The island is there and so she is", She insisted. One quick glance at the witch, l saw her purple eyes glowing more.

"Go down", lt was a simple command and despite the man's fear of flying into the unknown island, he dropped the helicopter and began our descent. "Ice is taking control of her",

I took a deep breath and it's when l began to feel the chill in the air. The place was so cold. The storm was turning into more than just freezing rain. The further the helicopter went, it was obvious that this was a full blown blizzard.

The wind was buffeting the helicopter in the air and the frozen slush beating at the windows would have been so strong to knock any strong man off his feet.

Raelynn was bringing this storm and by the witch's words, she seemed so angry to control it.

"Incoming, everyone hold on", The pilot shouted when suddenly the dark mass of the island came into view. The helicopter was flying far too fast for us to make an appropriately slow landing. The pilot was working as hard as he could to pull up but the helicopter was still too close to the island's surface.

Just before the helicopter crashed all eyes spotted the bright figuring hovering in the air at the heart of the swirling storm. White and pale blue ice reflected the helicopter's headlights but most of the body was covered in head to toe in blood and gore.

Glowing white eyes locked with mine through the storm of swirling sleet and snow. My heart skipped a beat when l realized that l was looking at Raelynn but then she didn't seem to recognize me.

RAELYNN'S POV

I was aware of the world around me; However it was as if l was seeing it through someone's else eyes. My actions were my own and it didn't feel like l was myself in the slightest. This was the cold. The ice in my veins. Every little creature was dying. All these dark wolves and scientists were nothing but little creatures to me.

They fell around me. The island cluttered with bodies around me. I could feel everything and nothing all at once. The world around the island faded away replaced with blazing cold storm that was nearly freezing everything the eye could reach. These wolves rushed at me, despite the bodies already littered in my awake.

Perhaps it was rage and sorrow for their mates but in the end they were nothing more than a blood bag wrapped up in fur. Every new drop of blood only fueled the storm like gasoline being tossed on a raging flame. It tore right through me and the island turned to ice and snow. The cold was so frigid it could burn the skin like fire.

My eyes were glowing at the sight of each body burning and falling under my feet. It felt so good to know that the monsters who tried to cannibalize my babies were suffering so greatly. The cold charged my inner darkness and immediately satisfying to enact my revenge for their intentions.

~Brian

He was the only one I wanted to devour. To destroy every fiber of his well being.

Something snapped out of my trance as a new warmth wrapped it's way in my heart. The cold l had become was fading as a new presence made itself known. My head turned and instinctively my eyes locked up with his... My Idris in the cockpit of a helicopter. My hand moved forward as though possessed, reaching out towards Idris.

My heart beat and it felt like that was the first time it had in hours now. But the storm between us was so strong. The wind was buffeting the helicopter and the blades were no match for the strength of the weather blocking this island from the outside world. It wasn't strong enough and the chopper went down. Falling towards land at an alarming rate.

Time slowed down as l watched in horror as the helicopter was being thrown to the ground by the force of the storm. This monstrous weather l had created. Instinct drove me once again and I knew couldn't let anything happen to my heart in that flying machine. My hand rose and a wave of snow on the ground swept towards the helicopter where it landed with a thunderous crash in the soft, white fluff.

The metal was crumpled and destroyed but I briefly prayed to the gods that the softened landing saved those inside. That moment of distraction took my attention away from the rest of my battlefield. But a snarl reached my ears in time and I spun in time to see a massive black wolf running from the nearest building.

My heart watered at the sight of him. It was Brian, the one I have been waiting for. I threw out my arms and an icy wind blasted in his direction with sleet and hail accompanying the blow. It threw the beast back momentarily but he was stronger than all the ones I had killed before.

Brian shook his head after rolling in the snow from the blast l sent in his way. He quickly got back on his paws and rushed towards me. I clenched my fist with my palm facing upward and crystal clear spikes of ice shot out from the ground. The black wolf dodged and leapt through the spikes as though this was a normal obstacle course.

I waved my arm and a gale force wind from the side flew into him. It sent Brian flying away to my left where l caged him under a mountain of heavy snow. At the same moment, I heard the crunching of metal and saw people emerging through the snow from the crashed helicopter. My pupils dilated at the sight of Idris.
