Chapter Thirty-Two

"Hey...Alice?" I hear Ian's voice through the open gap of my bedroom door. "Yes?"

"I was wondering...do you want to go to the cinemas with me? I heard they've got good movies out at the moment."

"Err...I don't know if that's-"

"Please." He cuts me off. He already knew what my answer was going to be, but he's so stubborn. I let out a breath and give a hasty nod. Oh gosh....this won't go down well.

"Is that a yes?"

"Yes, Ian." I frown in doubt.

"Don't be liked that. Trust me, you'll love it."

"Sure."

He gasps dramatically, "What are you trying to say?" Humorous Ian....Hahah. Always the case. Although, I do like this playful side of him. He should show more of it. He's always so serious all the time.

"Alice?"

Oh, shit...I zoned out.

"Yeah?"

"You zoned out there, love." Love....did he jut call me...? Never mind.

"So, what film would you want to see?" He asks.

"What's the choice?" I lean up on the bed, hugging my legs against my chest.

"I'll bring the iPad in and we'll look." He suggests and dissapears down the hallway. I wonder how many women have gone to the cinema with him before. If he's trying to make me feel somewhat special, it's not working. I'm just a latest Ina long line. As I sit there and over think, Miss Harrison's voice enters my mind. What she had said about her husband was really starting to grate on me.

What if it was the same with Ian? Not that it could matter, our relationship would just be sex. Nothing else. Because...that's all he wants from me. That's all he craves.

"You think I haven't lived this life before??" Her voice wicked and harsh. "The sex, the drug....the alcohol?" With a person such as Miss Harrison, I couldn't picture her being anything like me.

"Here we go!" I jump in realisation. Ian gradually slides his way through the door, the iPad held in his right hand. I lean against the headboard of the bed and he lays beside me. His eyes meet mine and I smile up at him. He returns the expression but his eyes say something completely different. He looks almost unsure about something. I don't want to ask though. I'm not sure if I want to know.

He presses on the side button the iPad screen instantly comes to life. The brightness of the screen burns my eyes for a mere second, but it doesn't take me long to adjust to the light.

10:35 flashes on the lock screen with a picture in the background of a starry night. A beautiful starry night. He swipes his index finger across the screen and presses in the pass code. I watched his fingers work wonders as the quickly tap on the four digit code. I pick up on what it is easily. 8403.

The iPad unlocks and resumes to the home screen where numerous apps appear in display. He presses on the internet and taps Cineworld in.

"Right." He clears his throat, preparing to scroll down for the list of movies.

The Edge Of Tomorrow

Mean Girls 3

AMY

Fifty Shades Of Grey

The Longest Ride

Paper Towns

Minions

.....

He pauses for a moment, letting me read through the film's before scrolling down to the next lot. I bite my lip when I read the fourth one down. Mmm...I wonder.

"Like any of those?" His lips are at my ear and I feel his teeth graze along my earlobe. I let out a heavy breath and tap my index finger on it. Suddenly, he feel him tense up next to me and his face turns to look at the screen.

"Fifty Shades Of Grey?" He says. I nod with a naughty grin. "Well, I've never seen it."

Ian chuckles and slowly grins down at me. "I've bet you've read the books, though?"

I shake my head and his expression falls, "You haven't?"

"I don't read."

"You are actually the first girl I have known, to not have read Fifty Shades." Then he adds, "We'll have to fix that." He turns and presses on booking times for the film. Oh my god, he's actually booking it!'
