Chapter 151- Bears & Demons

Chapter 151- Bears & Demons
Arielle POV

Oh absolutely not.

I was not about to let my sister steal the spotlight on my first full day here.

Vorak cracked his neck across from me, his golden eyes bright, his muscles coiled and ready. The pit hummed beneath our feet, runes flaring faintly as they sensed what was about to happen. Around us, students were already gathering, murmurs turning into shouts.

Good. Watch closely.

“Try to keep up, tiger,” I said sweetly.

He grinned. “You first, princess.”

We hit each other like a collision of storms.

There was nothing gentle about it. No testing taps. No easing in. Claws scraped stone, bodies slammed, and power exploded outward in hot, feral bursts. He was fast, brutal, all muscle and instinct, and gods did I love it. Every strike he threw, I answered harder. Every time he thought he had me, I twisted free and made him work for it.

The crowd was roaring now.

Someone shouted my name. Someone else yelled holy shit.

Vaelira’s laughter rang out from the sidelines, sharp and delighted. Three minutes. That was all it took.

I ducked under a wide swing, slammed my shoulder into his chest, and used his own weight to flip him hard onto his back. I landed on him smoothly, my knees pinning his sides, and my claws at his throat. He froze instantly, his breath heaving, and his eyes blazing with pride instead of defeat.

I leaned down and bared my neck. Submission. The pit went dead silent. Then it exploded.

“This is my first mate!” I shouted over the noise, grabbing his jaw and hauling him up beside me.

“Vorak Feist!”

Cheers thundered across the grounds. And then...A roar. Not tiger. Bear.

The ground shook as an absolute mountain of a male came barreling toward us, his dark hair wild, and his eyes locked on me like he’d been dying of thirst.

“I’ve been tracking you all morning,” he said, dropping to his knees in front of me. “Princess, allow me the honor of courting you in the bear way. You are also my mate.”

Oh. My. Gods.

My tail snapped happily as I purred, circling him, rubbing my cheek against his, breathing him in.

Strong. Grounded. Grizzly.

“I accept,” I said without hesitation.

He sagged in visible relief before standing, turning to Vorak. They were nearly the same size. They clasped arms. Hugged like brothers.

Perfect.

“Bennar Venag,” the bear said proudly. “Grizzly.”

Vorak took one of my hands. Bennar took the other.
We walked off together amid stunned silence and awed whispers, laughter bubbling out of me uncontrollably.

I hadn’t expected it to happen this fast.

I grabbed Vorak by the collar and kissed him hard, fast, claiming and familiar. He growled softly into my mouth, pleased, his hands at my hips.

“Go,” I murmured against his lips. “I need a moment.”

Understanding flashed in his eyes. He nodded once, smirking. “Don’t break him too badly.”

“No promises.”

Vorak headed off without a backward glance. I turned to the bear. Brennar Venag. Grizzly. Solid. Massive. Calm power coiled tight beneath his skin.

He was already smiling at me like he’d won something sacred.

“You are the most stunning creature I have ever laid eyes on,” he said, his voice low and reverent.

Heat rushed to my cheeks. “You’re fucking hot yourself.”

His grin turned wicked. “Do you know the bear way?”

I nodded, my tail flicking, and my pulse kicking up. “I do.”

Relief flashed across his face, followed by something darker. Hungrier.

“To the woods then?” he asked.

I purred in answer. Then I ran.

I didn’t hold back. I tore through the trees, laughter bubbling out of me, my heart pounding with thrill as branches whipped past and earth blurred beneath my feet. I could hear him behind me almost immediately, heavy strides, controlled but relentless.

Strong. Patient. Perfect.

He caught me at the edge of a clearing, the impact hard and decisive as he slammed me into the grass. We rolled, claws flashing, teeth bared in a violent, breathless clash of power and instinct. I struck. He countered. The ground cracked beneath us.

Then he had me. Pinned. Solid. Unmoving.

His breath was hot against my neck, his voice rough with restraint. “Arielle.”

I smiled up at him, feral and satisfied, body humming with anticipation.

“Yes,” I breathed.

Brennar’s weight pinned me to the cool earth, his massive frame unyielding, and his brown eyes locked on mine with a hunger that mirrored my own.

Long brown hair fell around his face, and the faint scruff of his beard brushed my cheek as he lowered his head. The forest floor cradled us, soft grass and fallen leaves beneath my back, and the scent of moss and loam was thick in the air.

He had won the chase. He had earned the right. But I was not done testing him.

I bucked beneath him, my claws raking down his broad back, drawing thin lines of blood. A growl rumbled from his chest, deep, and resonant, the sound of a grizzly claiming territory. He caught my wrists in one enormous hand, slamming them above my head into the dirt, his other hand gripping my jaw to force my gaze to his.

“Submit, Arielle,” he commanded, his voice gravel-rough, and his breath hot against my lips.

I snarled, twisting, trying to throw him off. My tail lashed against his thigh, and my legs hooked around his waist to flip him. He anticipated it, shifting his weight, pressing me deeper into the ground until escape was impossible.

His mouth crashed onto mine, brutal, and consuming. Teeth nipped my lower lip; I bit back, tasting copper. We tore at each other’s clothes in frantic, violent pulls, until skin met skin, heat to heat.

He was enormous everywhere. He had thick muscle, coarse hair across his chest, and his arousal was heavy and insistent against my thigh. I raked claws over his shoulders again; and he growled approval, releasing my jaw only to slide his hand down my body, cupping one breast roughly, his thumb scraping over the nipple until I arched with a hiss.

I fought him still, my hips bucking, and my teeth snapping at his throat. He pinned me with effortless strength, forcing my legs wider, pinning my hips with his own. One thick finger, then two, pushed inside me without warning, curling, stretching, and testing. I cried out, my back bowing, but refused to yield.

“Fight all you want, little cat,” he rasped against my ear, his beard scraping deliciously along my neck. “I’ll have your submission.”

He withdrew his fingers and replaced them with his massive cock in one powerful thrust, deep, claiming, and stretching me to the edge of pain and pleasure. I screamed into the trees, my claws digging into his back as he set a punishing rhythm. He fucked me with hard, relentless strokes that shook the ground beneath us.

Every drive forced the air from my lungs, every withdrawal left me aching for more. I met him thrust for thrust, snarling, biting his shoulder, his chest, anywhere I could reach. He roared, his pace turning savage, and his hand returning to my throat, not squeezing, just holding, reminding me who had won.

The pressure built, fierce and unstoppable. I felt my resistance fracture, and surrender rising like a tide.

“Brennar...” I gasped, my voice breaking.

He sensed it. His eyes blazed. “Say it.”

“Yours,” I whimpered, baring my throat fully, my body arching into his. “Claim me.”

With a triumphant growl, he drove deeper than ever, grinding against me until pleasure shattered through us both. I came first, hard and violent, my claws scoring his skin as ecstasy tore through my body. He followed instantly, burying himself to the hilt, pulsing hot inside me with a roar that shook the leaves overhead.

In the peak of release, we struck together, our fangs sinking into each other’s necks, biting down hard, blood and magic mingling in a rush of primal power.

Light exploded around us, warm amber and fierce gold swirling through the clearing, threading between our bodies, sealing the bond in a surge that left the earth trembling faintly beneath us. Strength flooded my veins; I felt his steady, unbreakable devotion crash into my own wild need, completing something ancient and inevitable.

He licked the bite closed with slow, reverent strokes, as his beard tickled my skin. I did the same, purring deeply against his throat.

Brennar eased his weight to the side, pulling me against his chest, one massive arm banding around my waist. We lay tangled on the forest floor, our hearts thundering in unison, and our breath slowing together.

“Mine,” he murmured, his voice soft now, almost wondering.

I nuzzled into his neck, my claws tracing idle patterns through the hair on his chest.

“And you are mine, bear.”

The trees whispered above us, ancient witnesses to a bond forged in chase and conquest, violence and surrender.

Perfect. Exactly how I always imagined it. Screaming and bloody and sexy as hell.

Corvan POV

I crouched in the treeline like an absolute creep.

There was no dignified way to frame this. No heroic spin. Just me, a fully grown man with elite guardianship credentials, lurking in the woods while a violent tiger princess bonded loudly nearby.

“I hate this job,” I muttered.

Arielle’s presence burned bright through the bond-web of the land, feral and satisfied and very, very alive.

Powerful. Safe. No fear spikes. No distress. Just… enthusiasm. Excessive enthusiasm.

I scrubbed a hand down my face and deliberately did not look toward the clearing again. This was not voyeurism. This was protection. There was a difference. A very important difference I repeated to myself every thirty seconds.

Still. Gods.

The tiger had left. The bear remained. Brennar Venag’s energy was solid, steady, and anchored like bedrock. No predatory intent beyond what had already been consented to. No violence spilling over into danger. If anything, he radiated a quiet reverence that eased the tight knot in my chest.

“She’s fine,” I told myself. “She’s more than fine.”

If Sahiyra could see this, she’d burn the academy down and then apologize later.

I shifted my weight, my eyes scanning the perimeter instead. Shadows. Birds. Wind. No watchers. No hostile magic. No rebellion signatures.

Good. I stayed put anyway.

Because creepy or not, my job was simple.

Nothing touched her. Not tonight. Not ever.

The shadows in the trees slowly stirred.

My demons manifested one by one, grinning too wide, their eyes gleaming with interest.

“Well?” one hissed. “What’s the plan?”

I let my mouth curve into a wicked grin I didn’t feel. “I’m planning a meet-up tomorrow. Noon. Time to lay out the plan.”

Their attention sharpened instantly.

“I’ve been gathering intel,” I continued smoothly. “Patterns. Whispers. Threads that don’t belong.”

Their smiles stretched, their teeth glinting. “Yesss. Finally.”

Inside, my jaw tightened.

“Revenge will be sweet,” I said aloud, pitching my tone just right.

“Do we have allies among us?” another asked eagerly.

They nodded to each other, excited. “Several.”

Good. Perfect.

“Then yes,” I said, feigning relief. “Invite them.”

If the rebellion thought I was about to welcome them with open arms, they were about to have a very bad day.

“The academy basement,” I finished. “Tomorrow at noon.”

The demons nodded and vanished into smoke and shadow. I stood alone again, my expression hardening as I stared into the trees.

Loyalty wasn’t loud. It was patient.

And by tomorrow, every traitor hiding inside Aureth Vale was going to expose themselves without realizing they’d just stepped into my trap.
