Chapter 195

Chapter 195
AMELIA

If this was the last day we had together, then I would make the best of it. I couldn’t fathom a life without him, my hero, who sacrificed everything so I could live another day. He was the true savior, not me. He was the true leader, the greatest alpha I’d ever met. He deserved that recognition, yet, here he was, waiting until he let go of his last breath and succumbed to death.

It was unfair. Life was so fucked up and unfair.

“Maybe you should give me an heir. I wanna have a mini you, please?” I wiped my tears away. “For that, I might be able to forgive myself. Then I’m going to tell him the story of how amazing and brave his father was, his sacrifices for this world, and how much we love each other, and show him our photos together.”

“I will give you everything, my love. If we have a son, I want you to teach him to be a good man and respect and treat Ryden as his father. If we have a girl, tell her, that her father will always be watching her. Tell them their father loves them so much.”

“I will, I promise.” I took off my clothes and got naked before I lowered my head and kissed him softly on his lips, on his forehead. Then I began to rub and cup his cock from his sweatpants. “I love you, always, Lucius.”

The moment he grew hard, I pulled his sweatpants down his feet, stroked him a few times, carefully straddled him, and made sure I wouldn’t cause him any more pain. Then I slowly sat, slowly sinking onto his length. I leisurely and steadily moved while he watched me.

He looked at me like I was the most beautiful and sexiest woman he’d ever met. I grabbed his hand and let him touch my breasts and my skin. He still moaned, his chest was rising and falling.

“Are you okay? Should I stop?” I was worried that he might be in pain.

“No. Fuck no. My dick is still thirty years old.” That made me laugh.

“It feels so good.” I rocked into him a little faster, widening my thighs, and allowing him to drive deeper into me.

“Kiss me, sweetheart.”

I propped on my elbows and made sure I wouldn’t lay a weight on him. Then I moaned and obeyed as I kissed him softly on the lips.

In seconds, I began to shiver and groaned as my pussy began to squeeze his swelling dick. Ecstasy flooded in my system as I came so hard.

A guttural roar tore off his chest as he cried with pleasure, releasing his come inside me.

Before we fell asleep, he hugged me tight and whispered in my ear which broke my heart and made me feel love at the same time, “You are my one true love and my greatest triumph, Amelia Whitmann.”

“Angel, can you read the last letter you sent me? I wanna hear it out loud.”

I turned to him. “Why? Because I said I have a lot of things I wanted to say?”

“I wanna hear your voice. The voice of an angel.”

“If I’m happy, yes.” It put a small smile on his lips. “But a devil’s horn when I’m mad and yelling.”

“My love, can you still see me?” I ran my thumb over his cheekbone.

“Not as clear as weeks ago, but yes. I can still see these beautiful autumn green eyes, this smile, and I want you to be the last person I see before—”

“Don’t— please?” I blinked when my eyes stung. “I’m not ready to let you go, Lucius. Can you hold on for a little longer?”

“Sweetheart, in just a few days spending time with you was the best thing I could ask for. I know I’ll be gone soon, but it doesn’t have to end there.”

I took his hand and pressed it against my lips. “I promise to live by your legacy with love, humility, and kindness. I promise to set a good example, and I’ll make sure you will be remembered, my love.”

“Now, go and pick up the box. You know where to find it.” He wiped the tears away from my face.

“I know where it is.” I smiled as I got up from bed and went to his walk-in closet to grab the old shoe box where he kept the letters and some old memorabilia.

When I came back, he was still waiting for me. I sat next to him and opened the lid of the box. Then I picked up the last one on the top. It was the letter I asked Ryden to give to him. I

unfolded it even if my emotions were already in chaos. So I began reading. I was only on the first line, a single tear had already fallen into the paper. My voice broke and my hands trembled.

Lucius,
When the memories from my previous life came back, it put me into a lot of thoughts.
I realize what love can do to people— the sacrifices you made for me— and the greater good.
I know the answer you were looking for when I saved you. Yes, I won’t think twice of saving you again even if I don’t have a memory of our past.
From what you’ve done to give me a second chance, I can’t repay you even if I give you my heart. It wouldn’t be enough. You’re an incredible selfless man, Lucius, and I’m one of the luckiest persons to have met you twice in my lives.
I have a lot of things I want to say that I couldn’t tell you in person, but one thing I can assure you is your heart is safe with me, and I will gladly keep it till the day ends.
You’re probably wondering why I’m writing this letter. If you asked me to spend some days with you, I’d gladly say yes, but I need this. I have to go away for a few days to find myself, clear my head, and seek guidance.
I’m luckiest enough to have such great men in my life. I’m not conflicted with my feelings anymore. I know where you stand, and as selfish as I am, I don’t want to choose but rather walk away.
I haven’t thanked you enough for saving my life again. I owe you everything, Lucius.
I’ll see you soon.
