Chapter 129: BLUE EYES
Chapter 129: BLUE EYES
Jace
I was finally beginning to understand what they were and learn about them. After Peter had woken up when the others left, it was just myself and Harold and he told me everything I needed to know about their kind. It all seemed really fascinating that such magnificent creatures did in fact walk amongst us and we had absolutely no idea. I felt really honoured that I had been granted the opportunity to get such love and attention. Listening to Harold, I realised what I was to the boys and why they all seemed to be competing for my attention. He made me understand that they all wanted me and were prepared to keep me as their mate.
"But I must warn you, it is frowned upon in the pack because it would take a lot to cease the entire homophobic practices. The boys themselves are already rejected because they are quadruplets and you might be doing them a favour if you suddenly go missing." He suggested it to me.
I thought about it only briefly but I did not seem okay with all that. They had already given everything for me despite knowing what they were. Harold told me that I could also reject them and everything would be sorted but I did not want to think about it.
"No, Harold. They already gave a lot to speak up for me, it would be a shame it only makes them sad. If they want to fight for this then I don't mind at all." I said to him,
"So you don't mind sleeping with four of them?" He asked me.
"I have never done it that way before. But I'm willing to learn. We could figure something out that works for us, right?" I ask him
For a moment, Harold was just there and he looked at me. He had a smile on his face as he then nodded his head.
"Of course. You will. I am not hating, just so you know. I'm just making certain that you are fully aware of what you're getting into." He said to me,
I saw him as kind for letting me know what it was that I would be going through. At least, for once I was being allowed to make my own choices and I did. I saw all of them the same. My lovers and if they wanted to share with me, there was no problem.
Eventually, Harold and I started staying alone and were beginning to fix breakfast but they were not back. I was already panicking like a little housewife that something had happened. I noticed how Harold was pacing around and I felt great worry. It was beginning to get dark and they still were not back, Harold felt really worried and scared about everything that was happening.
"Harold, what's happening?" I asked him.
"They went to do something and now, I don't know why they are not back and no one is also taking their calls. I'm worried but I might have to start tracking them. Come with me." He said to me and I followed him.
There was this sort of cave that we entered. I recalled that I have always wondered what was beneath that place and now, I was there. I had not expected this much amenities down here. Computers and doors were here. Harold took his seat and he at once started checking through the system.
I came closer and was watching him as he searched. Then he picked up the signal and noticed that their car was parked somewhere after the outskirts. And he decided to excuse himself to get something ready while asking me to remain there.
He had just gone away when I noticed they were on the move and I rushed to tell him. I came out and he was already on a call.
"I'm just glad you boys are alright. It's a good thing. Thank the moon goddess." Harold said and breathed out in relief.
I smiled now and then stood watching him as he rounded off the call. He finished and told me that they had succeeded. I was amazed and then decided to follow him to go get the meals ready and set for them. Harold told me stories as he made the meal and I was entertained.
It took three hours but then the boys returned and I was really happy as I rushed out to see them highlighting. They saw me coming to them and stopped moving. There was this mischievous look on their faces and I started wondering what the matter was.
"There's someone we found on our way back here for you and I thought you might want to see this person." Jacob said and then I was excited.
I was already having my mind wrapped around the fact that this was someone I had lost. That was when Mandy came out of the car and I dashed over to her and embraced her tightly. She embraced me and I could feel tears streaming down my face as I held onto her.
Eventually, we broke the hug as I looked her over. "How?"
"I was running away from a crazy girlfriend and they found me. I was confused seeing the same faces but Jacob recognised me." She said, "You look good."
"Thanks." I responded.
"And you no longer need to hide from tomorrow. We have your name cleared already and by tomorrow, more good news." Peter said to me, he was smiling at me which was unlike him but I did not care at all.
I left my friend and suddenly rushed over to them and threw myself at Jacob. The others embraced me too and I realised that this was so much love. All I ever wanted had been handed over to me.
Eventually, we all went inside and I took Mandy to my bedroom allowing them to discuss.
I spoke at length with her and eventually she went to sleep. Harold came to my bedroom to inform me that I would be joining them to the pack the next day.
"Okay." I responded, actually I was frightened and he could tell.
"Relax, I would be there too and the boys. No one would dare harm you. I would make certain of that." Harold said to me and I smiled.
"Thank you, Harold. For everything but your support mostly." I said to him,
"No, thank you for letting me be courageous. I lost someone in the past for fear but now, I'm good to win him back." He said to me and I smiled.
"You're welcome, I guess." I responded, uncertainly.
"The boys are upstairs in the library. They want you to come." He said to me and smiled.
Very quickly, I ran upstairs as I went to the door of the library. The one place I had been restricted from. Gently, I knocked and I was asked to come inside. I entered and I saw them all beaming and then they nodded to Damon who stepped forward.
"Jace, Harold told us what you said and we're really excited you accepted. I don't know what else to say." He said.
"Thank you." I responded.
Jacob stepped forward.
"What we are asking of you is really too much and I know it might take its toll on you but we're glad you're willing to try with us. It means so much." He said to me,
"Thanks." I responded again.
It was now Garrett. He had a knowing smile on his face and I knew it was as a result of our many nights together.
"You know I love you, more than these blockheads. Too bad they would be in our faces but we have to put up with them, right? He teased me.
"I guess so." I said.
He stood looking at me and then came to hug me. The others started muttering that he was going off the agreement right now. Finally he stepped aside and then Peter came forward.
"First, I've been an asshole to you because I could not face my fears and I am terribly sorry. I did love you but was too shy and I'm glad you did not reject me or these fools. From now on, I will try to show you how much of a better person I can be." He said to me and I smiled.
"Thanks, Peter." I responded.
"Well, a group hug?" Jacob asked.
I smiled and went over to them and we started hugging. That was when Garrett kissed me on the lips and the others groaned. I had to return the kiss to everyone else and for a moment, we were locked in passion. I was led to the couch as everyone took to either side of me when I felt sharp pain on my body.
My neck, the two sides and my arms.
It was then I looked and noticed the mark on my hands.
"You're ours now. We've marked you." Jacob said.
"No one can reject you in the pack now." Garrett said.
I felt really happy but I was allowed to go inside as they were hoping I would rest. The next morning I woke up early and then remembered the big day that I had today. I walked to the bathroom to start brushing my teeth when I looked up and my eyes were bright blue.
A fiery one and I was freaked out. Was this because of yesterday? But I am human!
