Chapter 216 Give Her Everything

Chapter 216 Give Her Everything
Adrian’s POV

I burst into our chamber with Kira limp in my arms, her face twisted in pain even while unconscious.

My heart hammered so violently I could barely breathe. I laid her gently on the bed, but my hands wouldn’t stop shaking.

This wasn’t supposed to happen. What is even happening?!

All morning I had been locked in the study, reading every ancient entry I could find on royal pregnancies.

The texts clearly stated that royal pups drained immense energy from the mother…it was normal for her to eat like she was starving. That’s why I had the kitchen prepare a feast for her. I wanted her to enjoy it.

But vomiting while eating? Stomach pain so severe she passed out? That wasn’t in any of the scrolls.

Was it something she ate? What could it be?!

“What is holding everyone?!” I roared through the pack link, my voice cold with fury. “Where the hell is the doctor?! The healer?! The royal nurses?! Sheila?! Why is no one here already?!”

I didn’t wait for excuses. “If any of you are not in this room in the next two seconds, I will paint the walls with your blood. I swear on my crown!”

Before the last word left my mouth, a sharp knock sounded on the door.

“Fucking come in!”

The door flew open. The royal doctor, two healers, the head nurse, and Sheila rushed inside.

Thomas was right behind them, his neck proudly bearing a fresh mating mark. When I raised an eyebrow at him, he just grinned.

Good heavens. Even in this crisis, the man was smug.
I didn’t have time for jokes. “Come take a look at her.

She was eating fine…happy, laughing, normal. Then she started throwing up, said her stomach hurt, and passed out. Do something!”

The royal doctor stepped forward first, pressing his stethoscope to Kira’s chest. He listened carefully, then pried open one of her eyes, checking her pupils. After a moment, he stepped back, looking puzzled.

I grabbed his collar. “Why are you stepping back? What did you find?!”

“Your Majesty… I can’t find any problem. Her heartbeat is steady. The pup’s heartbeat is also present.

Everything appears…normal. Maybe she's just exhausted?”

“Normal?” I snarled. “Just exhausted? Oh, and let me guess, her stomach hurting her was also part of the exhaustion…correct?” I drilled him coldly and he started sweating profusely.

Sheila stepped closer, closing her eyes and placing a hand over Kira’s belly. After a few tense seconds, she shook her head.

“Everything is not normal,” she said quietly. “I can hear two heartbeats… but one is significantly louder than the other. The pup's heart beat is louder. It’s overpowering the mother’s.”

I felt ice flood my veins. “What the hell is that supposed to mean?”

Sheila met my eyes, her expression grave. “It means the pup is killing the mother from the inside.

Unintentionally actually. It’s draining her too fast.”

I didn’t even let her finish.
“No,” I growled, turning back to the doctor. “Get the pup out. Now. As your king and her husband, I request an abortion. Remove it.”

Thomas stepped forward slowly. “Your Majesty…”

“I don’t care!” My voice cracked with raw terror. “Nothing can happen to my queen. Nothing. If the pup is killing her from the inside, then get it out of her. Right now!”

No one moved.
I released a loud, furious Alpha growl that shook the windows and objections rose immediately.

“That is your first seed, your majesty…” Thomas started.

The royal nurse spoke carefully, “Shouldn’t we seek the Queen’s consent first…?”

I saw red. Kira’s face suddenly scrunched up in agony even while unconscious. She twisted on the bed, clutching her stomach, letting out a weak, pained whimper.

“NOW!” I roared.

My wolf was screaming inside me. ‘We can get other pups, but we cannot get another mate. Get it out of her immediately! We cannot lose her!’

“Get it out before I kill every single person in this room!” I growled angrily.

Sheila raised her hands. “Hold on, Your Majesty."

She moved closer to Kira, bending her head low over her stomach as if listening to something only she could hear. When she straightened, her face was pale.

“This is unheard of.”

Then she leaned toward me and spoke in such a way that no one else could hear her. “Maybe it’s because she’s not fully one of us. Her human part cannot withstand carrying a royal pup, so he sees her body as a threat and is trying to kill her. Aside from that, it’s not supposed to be like this.”

My voice dropped to a deadly whisper matching her low tone. “I don’t care. That child doesn’t deserve to be in her stomach. He is the threat. Get it out.”

“There could be another way,” Sheila said quickly.

“How? Are you trying to buy time for something else? Why didn’t you say so earlier?!”

“Because the chances are only fifty-fifty, your majesty. I’m not sure it will work.”

“I don’t want to bet on my mate’s life. If it's fifty-fifty, get it out. I choose my queen over someone I barely know.”

Sheila interrupted firmly. “We can try a blood transfusion, your highness. You transfer your royal blood directly to her. If the pup recognizes pure royal blood flowing through her veins, it might balance out her human side. It’s not the pup’s fault too. Her human half is simply too weak to carry a royal pup.”

I brushed her aside and lowered my voice. “But that doesn’t make sense. She’s in Arabella’s body. Arabella was royalty too. Technically, it’s still her body! So what the hell are you talking about?"

Sheila shook her head. “The princess of Ravyrn is gone, your majesty. The Queen is only wearing her shell. The wolf inside her is the Queen’s wolf. The soul is the Queen’s. The pup can sense that. The only way to save her and the pup, is the transfusion.”

I stared at her. “You said it’s fifty-fifty.”

“Yes. But it is the first prince we're talking about here. And consider this…the Queen may not want the pup removed either.”

Her words hit me like a hammer. I looked down at Kira’s pained face, sweat beading on her forehead.

What would she want? She had been so excited yesterday, even in the middle of battle. She called herself a warrior princess carrying our pup.

She would kill me if I forced an abortion when she wanted to keep the pregnancy.

I exhaled shakily. “Fine. Do it. But it better work. If it doesn’t… I will kill every single one of you in this room. Got it?”

Sheila nodded and turned to the doctor. “Get everything ready for blood transfusion. Quickly.”

Within minutes, they had us both lying on the bed. Tubes were connected, needles inserted. I watched them link our bloodstreams together…my blood flowing into her veins.

I gripped Kira’s hand tightly, leaning close to her ear. Through our bond, I whispered, ‘I’m here, my love. I’m right beside you. You don’t have to worry. Even if it means giving you all my blood, I don’t mind. Just stay with me.’

I felt her pain. I felt her fear. Then, slowly, her grip tightened around my fingers.

I smiled softly, even as I grew lightheaded. At least she can feel my presence.

I looked up at Sheila. “Don’t stop until you’re sure she’s safe.”

“Your Majesty, this could kill you if we take too much,” she warned.

I looked her dead in the eyes, my voice hoarse but steady.

“I don’t care. Give her everything."
