Chapter 187 Bite Him
Before Sophia could shake off William's hand, her other hand was grabbed by Benjamin. Her beautiful eyes darted back and forth.
Sophia said, "Let go."
She tried hard to pull her hand free but failed. Instead, they gripped even tighter. She was utterly speechless at these two men's behavior.
One cold as ice, one gentle as water—William and Benjamin's gazes met in the air, neither releasing their grip.
Sophia gritted her teeth. "I'll say it one more time—let go!"
Sensing the anger in her voice, Benjamin was the first to release his hold. He looked down at Sophia's wrist, worried his grip might have hurt her. But the moment he let go, Sophia was pulled away.
William dragged her by the hand toward the exit.
Benjamin rushed after them anxiously. "Sophia—William, let her go! Where are you taking her!"
An oppressive, heavy atmosphere surrounded the man. As soon as they left the private room,he scooped her up and strode quickly toward the entrance.
"William, let me go!"
Sophia struggled to pry his hands off, her nails scratching his hand, drawing blood. But he acted as if he felt nothing, gripping her wrist tightly.
A black Maybach was parked right at the entrance.
The driver saw him carrying a woman out, and his pupils dilated. When he recognized that the woman in William's arms was Sophia, he quickly opened the rear door, extremely nervous, not daring to ask a single question.
William's right hand passed around her waist while his palm firmly gripped both of Sophia's wrists. His left hand held her knees, securing her firmly in his arms.
His black suit exuded a cold, sharp aura in the night. His brows were tightly knit, his gaze focused on her anger-filled eyes.
He casually glanced at the scratch marks on his hand and scoffed lightly. "If that's not enough to vent your anger, you can keep scratching."
"William, have you lost your mind?!"
Sophia had no idea William had such strength. Before, he would faint at the drop of a hat, but now he could carry her while restraining both her wrists with one hand.
The driver waited for him to get in, then immediately shut the door.
Seeing Benjamin chasing after them, the driver didn't need William to say anything. He ran straight back to the driver's seat, locked the doors, hit the gas, raised the partition between front and back, and quickly drove out of Benjamin's sight.
Selene, who had followed Benjamin out, frowned and said, "Benjamin, why didn't you tell me earlier you were eating here too?"
"If you'd said something earlier, I wouldn't have had to pull strings to book a private room. I could have just joined you... Benjamin, where are you going?!"
If Selene hadn't stopped him just now, Benjamin would have caught up to William and wouldn't have had to watch helplessly as Sophia was taken away.
Before leaving, he had instructed the restaurant staff to charge the bill directly to his membership card. Now he couldn't hear a word Selene was saying. He found his car and rushed after them.
In the back seat of the black Maybach, Sophia, completely restrained in William's arms, her eyes blazed with fury.
She bit down directly on his neck!
Even as Sophia tasted blood in her mouth, William remained silent, not even furrowing his brow, letting her vent her dissatisfaction.
"Is that enough? If not, bite this side."
William brought the other unblemished side of his neck close to Sophia's face, his deep eyes staring at her without blinking.
Blood still stained the corner of Sophia's mouth. Feeling the force of William's embrace, she said angrily, "William, what exactly do you want?"
He just looked at her in silence.
In the quiet car, only the sound of her grinding teeth and struggling could be heard.
Time seemed to stand still.
The moment she saw William lean down toward her, Sophia's pupils contracted sharply. She quickly turned her face away, her expression full of disgust.
Suddenly, William's voice came from above her head.
"Which time wasn't satisfactory?"
Sophia looked confused, not understanding what he was talking about.
"Which time left you unsatisfied? Tell me."
He stared into her eyes and asked again.
Sophia's mind involuntarily recalled what Lyra had said in the private room, and her own response.
Sophia fell silent.
So William had heard all of that conversation?
This topic was somewhat sensitive and rather awkward. Sophia pressed her red lips together tightly, not knowing where to begin answering.
Explaining didn't seem right, but not explaining didn't seem right either.
An awkward atmosphere spread through the car. She didn't even dare look into William's eyes—he was asking far too seriously.
"I..."
Sophia opened her mouth, then fell silent again.
"Which time didn't satisfy you? You were clearly the one crying..."
"William, that's enough!"
She turned to glare at him angrily, forbidding him to continue.
But seeing the suppressed danger in his eyes, her heart trembled. Worried he might do something irrational to her, she looked away again.
He turned her face and gaze back toward him, his tone serious and thoughtful, as if he absolutely had to get an answer.
William looked at her intently. "Not enough."
In his view, the problems between them had been resolved. Since they once had feelings for each other, they could get back together.
William just needed an opportunity.
An opportunity to clear the air between them.
Today was just right.
He watched the anger in Sophia's eyes and continued to add fuel to the fire, determined to break through the stalemate of having no emotional connection between them.
"Since that hotel incident with you and Raymond wasn't true, and I've explained things with Alice, what other problems are there between us?"
"Why do you keep avoiding me? What else can't we resolve between us? Tell me, and I'll solve them one by one."
William, usually a man of few words, rarely spoke this much.
William kept staring into Sophia's eyes, not missing the slightest emotion in them, applying to her the same intensity he used at work, though his heart didn't have the same ease he felt when negotiating deals.
But none of this was what Sophia was focused on.
While he was saying all this, she had been looking for a chance to escape William's restraint.
Earlier, when William used his left hand to turn Sophia's face, the force restraining her waist had loosened.
Now, only the hand gripping her wrists remained.
Just then, William reached for a carved wooden box on the console in front, which contained an ornate hairpin he'd had specially crafted for her.
Her eyes flickered. Taking advantage of his attention being on the hairpin, she stepped on the back of the driver's seat for leverage, used her core strength, and nimbly flipped over. Her hands followed the rotation and ended up around his neck.
The driver in front, sensing the intense movement in the back seat, felt his face flush and ears burn. He hadn't expected Sophia to be so eager, and quickly floored the gas pedal.
And Sophia? Under William's astonished gaze, she smiled sweetly, then... without hesitation!
She drove her knee forcefully toward William's groin!
William's calm expression suddenly trembled. He looked through gritted teeth at the woman still smiling before him.
However, what made him even angrier was her next words.
