Chapter 101 Accused of Being a Mistress

Chapter 101 Accused of Being a Mistress

Late at night.

Sophia had just finished visiting James and Michael, kissed sleeping Emily on the cheek, and now lay on the master bed in a daze. It had been a day since she learned that "the Smith family had arranged a blind date for William."

In the quiet bedroom, only the occasional chirping of insects could be heard from outside the window.

Monkey's words echoed in her ears: William didn't refuse his family's arrangement.

This sentence split open a question Sophia had forgotten long ago—he would always remarry. Whether for his status or Holden's considerations, the Smith family would never allow their youngest and most promising heir to remain single.

When she and William got engaged, although Henry came to see her, the actual decision-maker was Holden.

Sophia was certain she no longer loved William.

But at this moment, she was indeed unsettled.

Perhaps it was because she worried that William's future wife would affect James and Michael.

With this question on her mind, she gradually drifted off to sleep.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the ocean.

Above the azure sea, the sky was just beginning to glow golden-red.

Tony stood respectfully behind the man, "Mr. William Smith, Mr. Holden Smith had the news about the blind date released, and all the invitations have been sent out. Mr. Holden Smith says you must return home by Friday."

Not only Empire City's elite circles, but all prominent families with good relations to the Smith family, who had unmarried daughters of suitable age, received invitations from the Smith family.

Holden even made it clear that this banquet was arranged as a matchmaking event for his grandson.

The transparent glass window reflected William's cold, indifferent eyes, his lips curling into a mocking arc.

Seven years ago, the Smith family earned a reputation for gratitude through a marriage. Seven years later, what were they planning to trade him for?

He laughed coldly, "Send that woman's information to my father."

While William had to handle domestic matchmaking matters during his business trip, things were equally turbulent on Sophia's end.

Photos of Raymond giving her flowers were anonymously sent to his blind date.

As the pampered only daughter of the Baker family, Lily couldn't get what she wanted, and Raymond, who refused to marry her, was one of those rare exceptions.

Especially after learning he went to give flowers to another woman right after their blind date, she held a grudge against Sophia.

"That bitch dares to steal the man I have my eye on!"

Her shopping companion looked at Sophia's photo in surprise, "This person looks so familiar, kind of like... oh right! Like Peace Group CEO's ex-wife."

Lily: "The one from the Smith family?"

"Yes, I saw it online before, but the post was blocked immediately after I glanced at it. With that kind of power, it was most likely the Smith family guy who did it."

"This woman doesn't look as good as you, Lily. Who knows, maybe her current look is all from plastic surgery."

"Plus, I heard that the Smith family wedding didn't invite many people from their circle. That woman forced the marriage with a marriage certificate—the Smith family guy didn't like her at all. It was deliberate."

Her friend, who was following her family's arrangement to get close to the Baker family, said exactly what Lily wanted to hear.

Lily herself was a socialite blogger with millions of followers. Hearing her friend's words, she immediately had an idea.

That day, she went as usual to pick up James and Michael from school.

As soon as she got out of the car, she sensed something was wrong.

"She's that homewrecker from online who ruined the female blogger's engagement, right? Looking so good but doing such awful things. Those kids are unlucky to have a mom like her."

"How else would she seduce men if she didn't look good? All these seductive bitches who break up families are like this, thinking they can do whatever they want just because they're pretty!"

"Shameless bitch! The female blogger was about to get engaged, and she still went after her fiancé."

Three women standing together glanced at her sideways, openly mocking her, their voices deliberately getting louder, as if certain she wouldn't confront them.

But Sophia wasn't the type to take things lying down.

She walked straight up and asked them, "Excuse me, are you three talking about me when you say homewrecker, seductive bitch, and shameless woman?"

The three women didn't expect Sophia to ask so directly. They froze for a moment, their eyes darting away.

Soon, the blonde woman who had been cursing the most viciously scoffed at her.

"What, you dare to do it but won't admit it? I hate women like you the most. Knowing the guy has a fiancée, but still throwing yourself at him. You've made all women look bad!"

The other two women also showed disgusted expressions, as if this somehow made them look noble.

Sophia calmly asked, "Did you see me seduce a man with your own eyes?"

"What kind of woman am I?"

"Cursing at people without knowing the truth, calling me bitch and a seductive whore—what kind of women are you three?"

Sophia's three questions left them speechless, but they still weren't convinced!

The blonde woman pulled up the latest video from Lily's account, straightened her back, and mocked, "Are you saying the woman in this photo isn't you?"

In the video, Lily wore delicate makeup and cried pitifully, saying through tears that she would stop posting videos.

The reason? Her boyfriend, whom she was about to get engaged to, had cheated!

The last photo she posted was clearly the one of Raymond giving Sophia flowers.

Seeing Sophia freeze, the blonde woman instantly felt she'd found the truth. She gave her companion a look, and the latter immediately took out her phone to secretly record.

But the next second, the Johnson family bodyguard snatched the phone away. The woman shouted in panic, "What are you doing? Give me back my phone!"

Sophia, having recovered, said calmly, "I didn't do this."

The blonde woman glanced at her sideways with a mocking, jealous smile, "Who would believe that? You look like trouble."

The other two chimed in.

"Exactly. The original girlfriend has evidence, and you're still making excuses."

"Your kids having a mom like you really got the wrong birth. How will they hold their heads up at kindergarten?"

Sophia's gaze swept sharply toward the last woman who spoke, her presence so powerful it scared the woman back several steps.

She stammered, "You—staring at me won't help. This video has tens of millions of likes. You can shut my mouth, but can you shut the mouths of tens of millions of people!"

Sophia looked around and noticed many people secretly watching her. Although they weren't shouting like these three women, the contempt in their eyes was equally obvious.

She found the video from this blogger called "Big Pear" and forwarded it to Raymond.

The woman he provoked should be dealt with by him.

He called back almost immediately, but Sophia didn't answer.

That woman had said one thing right—this video had too many views and reached too many people.

If she didn't handle this properly, it would negatively affect the three children.

Besides, this was the kindergarten entrance. These people's children were all James and Michael's classmates. Kids were at a sensitive age, so the best approach was to solve this once and for all.

Sophia: "In that case, let's just call the police."
