Chapter 114:Alice's Final Scene (Part 1)

Chapter 114 Alice's Final Scene (Part 1)

William's call was still connected.

Hearing what Sophia said to the children on the other end of the phone, his heart sank further, and he had a bad feeling.

William said, "Sophia, don't do anything stupid!"

The phone wasn't on speaker, so no matter how loud he shouted, it was useless amidst the constant sound of car crashes outside.

"Mr. Smith, we're still twenty minutes from Greenfield Avenue!"

Tony had already told the driver to floor it and notified everyone nearby who could help to head there immediately.

But he was still extremely nervous.

After a long silence, Sophia's voice came through the phone again.

"William, it's Lily."

"If something happens to me, please take Emily to the ZN lab and give her to Lucas. He'll take good care of the child."

William's expression darkened even more.

He suppressed the worry in his heart and said calmly, "I'm not taking her. If you want to take her, do it yourself. Nothing's going to happen to you. Wait for me!"

William said to the driver, "Faster!"

The sounds of crashes came one after another.

Cries of pain echoed nearby.

His brow furrowed tightly, his face serious, one hand holding the phone, the other clenched into a tight fist.

Tony could only keep urging the driver to go faster, but the gas pedal was already floored. The tense atmosphere silently enveloped the car, weighing on everyone's mind.

On the other side, Lily was driving like crazy, flooring the gas pedal as she charged at them. The Johnson family driver urgently turned to avoid the attack, becoming extremely nervous.

James and Michael's heartbeats seemed to speed up several times.

They looked at each other, gripping each other's hands tightly, their palms slightly sweaty.

Sophia looked down at them. "James, Michael, are you scared?"

James and Michael's faces were pale. They nodded, then shook their heads.

James said nervously, "Mom, Michael and I aren't scared. Dad will be here soon, and he'll protect us!"

Though the child's voice was young, it was full of trust in William.

Sophia nodded. "That's right, your dad will be here soon. You need to fasten your seatbelts."

Just letting Lily go crazy would only put them at a disadvantage.

She checked James and Michael's seatbelts and exchanged a look with the driver. The sound of her side door unlocking rang out.

Sophia quickly pushed open the back door.

At the same time, the driver's door of the car next to them opened, and two more cars came from the front and back to block in front of both cars, avoiding the prying eyes of other vehicles.

Sophia switched positions with the bodyguard from the other car.

He came to this car to protect James and Michael, while she drove the other car.

The moment she locked the door, she floored the gas pedal and charged at Lily, who was turning around on the other side. Without giving her time to react, she rammed her three times in a row.

Hood to hood, both maintaining the same speed without slowing down.

Sophia looked coldly at Lily across from her, her foot not letting up on the gas, looking ready to take them both down.

The tense atmosphere hung heavily in the night.

Lily, wearing an earpiece, told all the others around to surround Sophia, determined to make her die here.

Sophia looked at the other black cars gathering in the rearview mirror, her eyes falling on the car where James and Michael were, gripping the steering wheel tighter and tighter.

She turned her face toward the window, glancing at the mountainside not far away.

The mountain road, which looked gentle at first glance, actually had an extremely steep drop-off. If she could lure these cars there and then jump out of the car, she could take out most of them.

Afraid that Lily and the others would notice her thoughts, Sophia pretended to panic.

After being hit by Lily's car and forced back several times, she floored the gas pedal, pushing against Lily's car and accelerating continuously.

With a loud crash, Lily and her car tumbled into a ditch.

The ditch wasn't deep. Lily quickly climbed out of the car, grabbed her walkie-talkie, and said harshly, "Whoever kills this bitch, I'll give another fifty million dollars!"

The people she hired were killers recommended by Alice—they wanted money, not their lives.

The killers who had gotten out to fight hand-to-hand with the Smith family bodyguards quickly got back in their cars. Over a dozen cars chased Sophia up the mountain.

Seeing her speed up more and more, the others floored their gas pedals too.

Even when turning, none of them slowed down.

Sophia looked at the darkness ahead, slightly easing off the gas. Taking advantage of the blind spot at the turn, she jumped out to the side, rolling several times before stopping.

The cliff was right beside her—she had almost fallen off!

Ignoring the pain in her body, Sophia quickly hid in the bushes. Watching one black car after another follow her car off the cliff, her heart still didn't dare relax.

In the end, three cars managed to brake in time, leaving long skid marks on the ground. After stopping, seven or eight men in black got out.

They came down with weapons to search: "Search!"

Sophia gripped the small knife in her hand, holding her breath. When a man in black swung his sharp long knife toward her direction, Using her agility, she thrust the knife hard toward his heart.

He groaned, dying before he could make a sound.

The others heard the noise and rushed over.

She took the long knife from the man in black, her movements clean and efficient. Each strike gave no chance for counterattack. Soon, she had dealt with everyone there.

Sophia stood tall in the darkness, holding the bloody knife, looking every bit like an invincible female general on the battlefield.

After confirming that none of these people had a chance of survival, she drove one of the men in black's cars back.

Seeing one of her own cars returning, Lily's lips curved into a smug smile. However, as the car got closer and she saw Sophia in the driver's seat, her face suddenly turned cold.

"How can it be Sophia!"

She quickly jumped into a car and said to the man in the driver's seat, "Go up and hit her, kill her!"

When Sophia saw more and more cars approaching the car where James and Michael were, her calm and rationality suddenly vanished. She quickly avoided Lily's car and charged toward the other side.

She glanced at the time. More than half of the twenty-plus minutes William mentioned had already passed.

She had fought outnumbered battles before.

If she could just hold on for another ten minutes or so, she could wait for him!

James and Michael, in the back seat, bent down to dodge bullets. The sound against the bulletproof glass made them worry more and more about Sophia.

Their eyes were red, but they held back their tears.

Finally, outnumbered, the car was stopped by Lily's people. Even the driver and bodyguard were injured. Just as they were about to be pulled out of the car, a car suddenly shot out from the side.

It sent two men in black who were smashing the car door flying.

Raymond rushed over the moment he got the news. He happened to see the car surrounded and stopped in the middle—it was Sophia's car.

The people he brought blocked the remaining cars.

Raymond got out and came to the car. Through the violently smashed window, he saw James and Michael. Their faces were deathly pale, their eyes red, but they were biting their lips tightly without making a sound.

"James, Michael, come with me first."
