Finally married!

Finally married!
Sonia
I stood in front of the mirror, staring at my own reflection, and I couldn’t get enough of the woman I’d become.
The woman looking back was poised, polished and nothing like the girl who once begged, cried, and crawled her way through heartbreak and betrayal.
The white formal gown I wore fit like it was a second skin. It was elegant, structured, and yet soft enough to make me look approachable. My stylist, Clara, circled around me, adjusting the pearl brooch at my shoulder before stepping back to admire her work.
“You look like power in motion and that’s the goal.” She said with a grin while I smiled faintly.
Nolan’s team had done everything to erase the old version of me. The broken woman in prison was gone. In her place was someone who had learned to hold her chin high and keep her eyes steady no matter who stood before her.
As I walked down the staircase of the penthouse, Nolan was already waiting for me. He looked sharp and composed as ever in his dark gray suit that looked like it had been tailored to intimidate. When his eyes landed on me, his expression softened just a little, barely noticeable unless you were watching closely.
“You clean up well,” he said simply.
“Coming from you, I’ll take that as the highest compliment,” I replied, trying not to let my nerves show.
“Ready?” He asked while gesturing toward the door.
“Born ready.” I nodded.
The car ride to the courthouse was quiet, but not awkward. There was a kind of unspoken understanding between us, but we still didn’t say anything to each other. He was glued to his phone, probably working while I looked out the window as the city rushed by, the light catching my ring finger where the pale polish gleamed. Soon, there will be a band there and all of my wishes will finally come true.
We finally arrived at the courthouse. Nolan’s lawyer and his personal assistant were already waiting by the entrance, greeting us with respectful nods.
There were only a few people around and I knew it was intentional. Nolan can’t have the news out yet till everything is all set and ready.
As we walked in, I could feel eyes on us, the way they looked at Nolan with a mix of admiration and fear, and at me with curiosity. No one knew who I was yet, but they would. Soon enough, the world would know my name again, and this time, not for scandal.
The ceremony was held in a small courtroom, quiet and intimate. Just us, the officiant, the lawyer, and the assistant, but somehow, it still felt big to me.
“Do you, Nolan Kane, take Sonia as your lawfully wedded wife to love and hold till death do you part?”
“I do,” he said smoothly, his gaze fixed on mine.
“And do you, Sonia…”
“I do,” I whispered, trying to keep my voice steady even as my heart pounded.
We were asked to sign the documents and I signed my name slowly, letting each letter sink in. Sonia Kane.
When it was done, the lawyer smiled faintly and extended his hand.
“Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Kane.”
Nolan didn’t smile, but his eyes softened in a way that made me feel seen. He turned to me and said quietly.
“Welcome to our world, Mrs. Kane.”
Afterward, the assistant brought out a small camera for the photo ops. We stood side by side, him with his hands in his pockets, me holding the bouquet.
“Closer,” the assistant said politely.
Nolan slipped his hand around my waist, his touch firm but not possessive. I tilted my chin slightly, feeling the camera flash. We put on smiles and created the moment for the press release knowing it would soon shake every headline.
“You really think this will shut them up?” I leaned in slightly between the shots and whispered.
“It won’t just shut them up, Sonia. It’ll make them bow.” His voice was low enough for only me to hear while he smirked faintly.
I couldn’t help the small laugh that escaped me. For the first time in a long while, I wasn’t scared or ashamed. I was standing beside a man who didn’t see my past as weakness but a proof that I could survive anything, and I was ready to prove myself to him.
When the photos were done, he offered me his arm, and I took it. As we walked back toward the car, the wind brushed against my face, and for a second, I felt so light and really free from everything.
“You did well,” he said as we reached the car.
“I always do,” I replied while looking at him, a hint of pride creeping into my smile.
He chuckled under his breath and then opened the door for me after which he got in beside me.
I sat quietly as the car rolled away from the courthouse, and the weight of what had just happened finally settled over me. It was so intoxicating and felt unreal. Just a few hours ago, I was a prisoner with nothing. Now, I am Mrs. Nolan Kane, wife to one of the most powerful men in the country.
I stared at the diamond ring on my finger and just couldn’t look away. It wasn’t just a ring, it was power…
I stole a sneak peek at Nolan, who was sitting quietly beside me still focused on his phone. He looked so handsome and perfect with that aura that commands attention without a word.
I know he looks so gentle, but I also know he’s dangerous and powerful. And I wanted to break through that control. I already got his ring, but it’s just business. I want more from this contract marriage. I want to have control on a more personal level than anyone else in his life. And I know just how to get it.
I reached over and pressed a button, sliding the privacy screen up between us and the driver. He turned slightly, his brows lifting in quiet curiosity.
“Why did you do that?” he asked while I smiled faintly, leaning back against the seat.
“Because, Mr. Kane, our honeymoon starts now.” I said softly while his eyes darkened, and I saw a flicker of amusement there, along with something else which looked like interest.
“This isn’t that kind of marriage, Sonia,” he countered.
“I know, but even business contracts need chemistry.” I cut in before he could go on.
He studied me for a long time before he finally chuckled and shook his head.
“You never stop surprising me.” He retorted while I leaned in, closing the distance between us.
“Maybe that’s why you chose me,” I whispered.
He looked at me again with a soft grin and I knew right there that I had gotten him. I could already feel the charged connection between us, and he can’t deny it too.
“You do understand what this means, right? Once the world knows you’re my wife… there’s no going back.” He let out.
“I know, and I don’t want to go back. Ever.” I affirmed.
He opened his mouth to say something, but before he could, I jumped on him, grabbed him and buried my lips in his mouth.
He pulled me in tight and then grabbed my neck and kissed me wild too.
All the while, I rolled my hips on him till I felt his hard erection pushing against my body. I reached for his pants then, and pulled out his dcck. It sprung out immediately and nodded at me, making me smile with eagerness.
I pulled up my dress, and he smiled when he saw I had nothing under. He finally realized I had it all planned. I was ready for him all along.
I pushed him into me and then pressed my weight on it till it was far deep inside me. We both moaned and he spanked me hard.
It lasted only ten minutes, but every second was worth it. We stared intensely in each other’s eyes all through and when we came, it was so intense.
He grabbed my as, raised it a bit and then rammed hard in and out of me for about two minutes. I held on firmly to him, making sure my legs were spread wide so his dcck could reach every corner inside me.
He crashed back into the seat while I felt him pump his warmth into me. My body was shaking too, and we just had to cling to each other for a few minutes.
In the midst of that, I looked in his eyes and I could tell that I got a bit of him. It was just a tiny bit, but it was a great start.
I just need to play my cards well moving forward, and it’s only a matter of time before I have him carefully wrapped around my fingers…
