Chapter 240 Epilogue

Chapter 240 Epilogue

Ten years passed, but the memories of their struggles still lingered — only now, they felt like a distant dream. The mansion was filled with laughter, love, and the smell of freshly baked cookies coming from the kitchen.

Liam, now a smart and confident teenager, sat in the garden with his little sister, Amelia, who had just turned nine. They were laughing as he helped her ride her bicycle for the first time.

“Go slow, Amelia!” Liam shouted, running beside her.

“I’m not scared!” she yelled, giggling as she wobbled forward.

From the balcony upstairs, Savannah stood watching them with a soft smile. Her hair was longer now, and her eyes still carried that same warmth Adrian fell in love with years ago. She placed a hand on her chest, grateful for the peace their family finally had.

Adrian came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. “Our babies are growing fast,” he said with a proud smile.

Savannah leaned against him. “Sometimes I wish I could stop time,” she whispered. “Just to keep them like this forever.”

Adrian chuckled. “They’ll always be our babies, no matter how old they get.”

Down in the garden, Amelia called out, “Mom! Dad! Look at me!” She was now riding without help, and Liam clapped loudly. “That’s my little sister!”

Savannah and Adrian both laughed, waving at them.

That evening, the family had dinner outside under the twinkling lights Adrian hung around the yard. The air was filled with music, laughter, and the smell of roasted chicken. Aunty Lisa joined them, still as cheerful and wise as ever.

“To family,” Adrian said, raising his glass. “To love, forgiveness, and new beginnings.”

Everyone repeated after him — “To family!”

Savannah looked at each of them, her heart full. She had learned that life doesn’t always go as planned, but love — real love — always finds its way home.

After dinner, she walked out to the garden alone for a moment, looking up at the stars.

“Dad,” she whispered softly, remembering her late father. “We made it. I hope you’re proud of me.”

Adrian came up behind her, sliding his hand into hers. “He’s smiling down at you right now,” he said gently.

Savannah turned to him and smiled. “Thank you for never giving up on me.”

Adrian kissed her forehead. “Thank you for choosing me — every single day.”

They stood there together, watching the stars above, the cool breeze dancing through the trees, and their children’s laughter echoing in the background.

Everything they had fought for — love, peace, and family — was finally theirs.
