Chapter 227 Chapter 227

Clara sat by her window, sipping coffee and staring at her phone screen.
It was still early morning, and the sky outside was slowly turning bright.
She hadn’t slept all night either — her mind was too busy planning.

Ray sat across from her, legs stretched out, smoking slowly. “So what now?” he asked, blowing out smoke. “You said the plan failed the other day. You sure this woman’s still worth all this stress?”

Clara gave him a sharp look. “Don’t talk like that. Savannah took everything from me — Adrian, my peace, my life. You think I’ll just sit here and watch her enjoy it?”

She stood up and began to pace the room, her high heels clicking on the marble floor. “She’s living in that mansion with the man who was supposed to be mine. She’s pregnant again, living the dream life I deserved.”

Ray smirked. “So what’s the next move, boss lady?”

She stopped walking and turned to him with a cold smile. “We take her. We make Adrian feel what heartbreak really is.”

Ray raised a brow. “Kidnapping a pregnant woman? That’s risky.”

Clara ignored him and picked up her phone. She opened a file full of pictures — pictures of Savannah, Adrian, and Liam. Each one made her anger grow stronger.

“She’s smart,” Clara said quietly, “but not smart enough. I’ve been watching her house for weeks. I know their driver, I know their route, and I know the hospital she’s supposed to visit for her checkup.”

Ray sat up straight. “You serious?”

Clara nodded slowly, eyes burning with hate. “Next time she leaves that mansion, she won’t come back so easily.”

Ray looked unsure. “You’re going too far, Clara. Adrian isn’t an ordinary man. He’s got guards, power, and connections. If anything happens—”

She slammed her cup on the table, cutting him off. “Enough! I don’t need your warning. I need results. You think I care about his power? He used me and left me for her. Now I’ll take away what he loves most.”

Ray sighed. “Fine. But we’ll need the right timing. And people who can move quietly.”

Clara sat back down, running her fingers through her hair. “Already handled. I have two men ready. I’ll send them money today. They’ll follow her next time she goes out.”

She smiled coldly, looking out the window. “Adrian thinks his world is perfect. Let’s see how perfect it’ll be when Savannah disappears.”

Ray stood up and crushed his cigarette. “You’re really not stopping, huh?”

Clara looked at him, her face calm but her voice cold. “I stopped being nice a long time ago.”

For a while, the room went quiet. The only sound was the ticking of the clock on the wall.

Then Clara’s phone buzzed. A message from one of her spies came in.
She opened it and smiled slowly.

“She didn’t go to the hospital yesterday. Might go this week.”

Clara’s eyes narrowed. “Perfect,” she said under her breath. “Then we wait.”

She stood by the window, staring at the rising sun. The light touched her face, but it didn’t warm her. Her heart was already cold.

Soon, she thought. Very soon, Savannah will learn what it means to lose everything.
