142 Proper Zavir

142 Proper Zavir
The next morning, I woke up very early, suffocating from the heat and with an urgent need to use the bathroom. I didn’t even have to turn around to know whose burning-hot arms were wrapped around me.
When I tried to slip out of the werewolf’s grip, he only pulled me closer.
“Zavir,” I squeaked, “I need to go!”
“Hm? Sorry,” he mumbled sleepily, finally letting me go.
Jumping out of bed, I glanced back—and instantly envied myself. What a gorgeous man I had landed!
His hair was a complete mess, his magnificent bare torso stretched out across the sheets, and only a thin sheet covered his hips—standing up like a little tent. With a lazy stretch, Zavir rolled onto his stomach, and the sheet slid down, revealing in all its glory his naked backside. A perfect backside!
My cheeks instantly went up in flames when I realized he had slept beside me completely naked the entire night.
Exhaling sharply, I darted into the bathroom. Excitement and nervous trembling had completely chased away any remaining trace of sleep. I quickly took care of business, brushed my teeth, and slipped under the shower to cool my body and freshen up—well, just in case!
Making sure I looked somewhat decent and refreshed, I stepped out. But Zavir was no longer in bed. Hearing noises from the kitchen, I headed that way.
My jaw dropped when my eyes landed on the sight of the blond—wearing only his tight low-rise jeans and an apron over his bare torso—cooking something at the stove.
Drool was already threatening to spill, but not from the smell of food. My poor little heart couldn’t endure such trials, and I moved closer, wrapping my arms around my beloved from behind. Goddess, how incredible he smelled!
“Good morning, baby!” my fiancé greeted me cheerfully, turning around to press a deep kiss to my lips. “We’ll have breakfast now and then set out, so we’ll be with the pack by dinnertime.”
I had already decided to skip the next week of classes. I was ahead of the curriculum anyway, and no new topics were expected this year, so… I could allow myself this luxury. Besides, a written excuse from the Alpha himself about my absence solved every problem at once. We wanted to announce our engagement to everyone, and I missed them all so terribly.
After a quick breakfast and packing up my things, we picked up Lakisha from the hotel and hit the road. She was genuinely happy for us, though not really surprised. Still, she spent the entire ride strangely quiet, thoughtful, and—if I wasn’t mistaken—a little sad.
We hadn’t warned the Reyrems about our arrival, so when we drove into their estate, we were met with an unexpected sight: from the back courtyard strode an absolutely massive gray wolf!
He was enormous! Could this really be Wayland himself?! Now all the stories and legends about him suddenly made sense. There was no denying it—this was a true Alpha.
“What a beast!” I breathed in awe, watching as his sister noticed us and began heading our way.
“Well, my wolf may be smaller, but still plenty big,” Zavyr muttered in a slightly offended tone, making me smile.
“That’s okay, Zavyr,” I teased gently. “Size isn’t everything.”
“Oh, wolves…” my blond huffed dramatically. “Do you realize how humiliating and mocking that sounds coming out of your sweet mouth?”
I burst out laughing and kissed my beloved just as the Alpha couple came over. The reunion with my sister and her family was warm and emotional. After greeting the Alpha and hugging Alina, I finally got to my little nephew, Jade. Oh, what a sweetheart he was! A curly-haired brunette with piercing gray eyes—no doubt he would break many hearts in the future.
After a cozy family dinner, Zavyr and I went for a walk around the pack grounds, discussing our upcoming wedding. We had decided not to delay it and planned to celebrate in about a month. Talking like this, we slowly found ourselves approaching a beautiful, large house.
“And this is our house,” my fiancé introduced proudly. “It has been mine for a long time, but with your arrival, I finally finished the renovations, and we’ll live here after the wedding. I didn’t really buy much furniture yet—I wanted us to choose it together,” he admitted softly. “I remember how Alina completely remodeled Wayland’s house, so I decided to avoid such problems. We can start furnishing it as soon as tomorrow, we’ve got time. What do you say?”
