My little sister Tanya was also at the wedding. More than that—she was my bridesmaid, which delighted the groom’s witness, Zavir. He didn’t know until the last moment who would be my witness, so he was practically bursting with emotions when we stepped out of the house together.
Our wedding celebrations lasted three days, after which we planned to go on our honeymoon to the beautiful islands that Mia had been promoting so much.
By the way, the blonde had just given birth a couple of weeks ago. The delivery was premature, but little seven-month-old Lex was doing well. Conrad finally had his son. Although, knowing this couple, this might not be their last child.
That day, Lena took pity on Mia, so the two breastfeeding friends could enjoy alcohol without harming their babies.
I am incredibly happy to be with my beloved beast. He has learned to be an amazing husband and friend to me. I now cannot imagine my life without this bold and stubborn wolf. Where would I be now if I hadn’t accepted Lakisha’s job offer?
Of course, we had our moments—ups and painful downs—but people change, and we are still working on our relationship.
Two years later, we had a little one, Jade. By the way, the family expansion wasn’t only happening with me. Another one of my friends unexpectedly had a child even before me, yet she stubbornly refuses to admit who the father is! Maybe some married jerk, and because of that, she feels ashamed, so she disappears like a ghost. But that’s not the point right now.
Wayland was incredibly proud of himself and of me that our firstborn was a boy. For the families of alpha lineages, this is highly significant and important because it means the continuation of leadership and strength. But I’m human, and here, there are nuances.
“Wayland, do you want a scandal?” I exclaimed, crossing my arms over my chest to show the full extent of my indignation.
“Alright, I’ll talk to her again,” the alpha sighed wearily. “You know my mom adores Jade, but this issue is just stuck in her head like a tick!”
“I don’t care about her ticks! If this comes up again, there will be an unpleasant scandal!” I stood my ground. “She needs to understand that I will not let her draw the baby’s blood to determine his species! He is a child! And it doesn’t matter who he turns out to be!”
“My love, I’m with you, and I’m not arguing,” Wayland says, approaching and wrapping his arms around my waist to calm me. “I’m just explaining the nature of her behavior.”
“Then explain to her the nature of my behavior too,” I challenge him, glaring. “My son will have a childhood, not an army from birth! If he wants to practice combat techniques more seriously, I won’t stop him, but for now—he’s a child! I don’t want my son, when he grows up, to disregard his mate, if he has one, because of an inflated alpha ego from childhood!” I protest fairly. “Honestly, now I’m even scared to leave him with grandma, wondering if she dragged him to a clinic for some test!”
“I’ll handle it,” he says, hugging me tighter and silencing my tirade with a kiss.
Damn!
It works. Every time it works!
That audacious scoundrel came up with a brilliant idea—in any confusing situation, shut her up with a kiss! And the way he does it leaves no room for any coherent thoughts.
Truth be told, I already know that Jade will be a werewolf. Lena let it slip that she senses the strength of an alpha in him. And because of that, I worry even more that the little one won’t be pushed onto training grounds from childhood.
I understand that, in some ways, it will benefit him in life, but not now. Let him be an ordinary child at least until fifteen or sixteen, and then, according to his character and desire, he can learn the ways of combat.
For now, we are happy parents who want only the best for our child. I love my boys madly and am so grateful that, one day, the alpha’s punishment led us to true bright love, full of passion.
