Chapter 91 Chapter 91
Theodore
“I thought you wouldn’t be coming back tonight.”
I stopped at Hannah’s voice. Looking up, she sat on the stairs, wearing a black gown.
She stood up when our gazes met, the gown's transparency highlighting her body as she walked to stand in front of me.
“How are you feeling? Today…today was...” She raised her hand to touch my face, and my eyes narrowed, daring her to touch me.
“You didn't have to wait for me. You should sleep early.”
With that said, I walked past her, but her hands wrapped around my waist, and I stopped. Her touch pricked my skin, crawling against me.
“Let go,” I growled. Anger surged in my body as my eyes met the hands wrapped around my waist. The touch of her chest to my back makes my skin shiver in disgust.
“Let go of me, Hannah. I don't want to say it again.” My voice deepened.
I could feel her skin over my stomach. Disgusting.
But it was never like that. Before now, Hannah was one of the women I could tolerate being touched by, but since Selene came into my life and I set eyes on her, my skin shudders at the thought of another woman touching me.
“Why?! Just because of Selena, you no longer look me in the eyes? Do you need me to remind you how this has happened before?!”
I stilled. My ears perked at what I was to hear next, dreading.
“The last time you left me for another, what happened to you? She betrayed you! I was the one who stopped her from almost killing—”
I turned, shifting and grabbed her neck, my eyes bloodshot red.
“Shut up, Hannah. I forbade you from ever bringing her up.” I hissed. Her hands tapped my hand frantically to free herself, as she struggled in my grasp.
“Why don't you listen and know your place?” I scorned.
God, I was going to leave her, I was going to let her go, even after what Zac told me he did at the party last time.
I was going to avoid her so I won’t hurt her, but she just has to wait here and spout nonsense.
“Why do you trust her so much? Remember Olivia was the same when she came. Selena will hurt you just like her.” She scoffed, her face grunted painfully at my tight hold on her neck, but she didn't stop talking.
“What makes you think that Selena is different!” She snapped, and I tightened my hold on her neck.
She was crazy.
I pushed her to the floor. There was no use speaking to her.
She coughed and I moved to the stairs. .
“Will she stay once she knows what you are capable of? How you’re full of murderous intent… can she stay? She may act like she truly likes you, but can she?”
I don't stop walking.
“Does she know that you are Krovzren? I wondered what she would do when she found out.”
I stopped but continued walking.
“Our world is different from hers, she will never stay in yours!” She screamed behind me as I walked up the stairs.
Really? Won’t Selena stay in mine? I opened Selena’s door slowly.
As expected, she was sleeping. The little table lamp shone warmly on her face.
Won’t Selena accept me?
But she has never been afraid of me. Right from the day she met me at the club, she had sought my help though she was drunk.
She was never afraid to take my help. I was sure Selena already knew the type of person I was. Of course, everyone knows.
I walked to the drawer, and took the little stool I had asked her maid to provide for her. I brought it beside the bed and sat on it.
Selena was beautiful. Her skin shone purely as she took a soft breath. I reached for the strands of hair covering her face and brushed them into position.
Even though she finds out I’m Krovzren, I’m sure she will stay with me. It was just drawings of eyes. Eyes that have gone through horrors.
It was fascinating, I'm sure she had found it that way too.
“You can't leave me, Selena. No matter what, you must not leave me. You are mine, forever.” I leaned towards her, to her soft lips, and took her lips in mine.
Yes, Selena was mine. She wasn't going to leave no matter what.
“Mm,”
My eyes widened as she opened up, her hand moved to my head to deepen the kiss. I took her lips into my mouth, and sucked her, nudging on it. She moaned, traces of sleep in her voice.
Slowly she pulled out, and fuck, I wanted to keep missing her, but I shouldn't scare her.
“Hey, when did you get back?” She asked, her voice soft and gentle, mixed with sleep rasp.
What does Selena think of me behind her soft eyes that stare at me?
What does she think of my affection? Does she see me as a cruel monster? So many people have called me that, but I have never cared. It didn't matter as long as I could remain strong and unshakeable. But I didn't want Selena to think that.
“What happened to you? You look sad?” She reached for my face, her hands held my face, softly, she stroked, and I rested my face completely on her hand.
“The day was filled with memories. Memories that still haunt me.” I stared at her eyes as she listened to me, but it didn't change. Instead, it looks more focused on me.
“Do you think you can tell me? We can talk about it and maybe that will make it better? The memories?”
I opened my mouth to speak, but my throat only tightened, black clouds gathered in my head. I shook my head out of it, to face her.
I must never tell her. She won’t accept me. I have done heinous things. She won’t accept my past.
I swallowed.
“Later, I’ll tell you.” I placed my hand on my face.
She rolled her eyes. “You are full of so many secrets.”
“You rolled your eyes,” I commented, looking at her long lashes. She was beautiful.
“I shouldn't have, sorry.” She muttered.
“Dont apologize, you did nothing wrong.” I reached for her face, her cheeks, and brushed my hands gently against them.
“Tell me, Selena, what do you want? Is there anything you dream of?”
