Forty Three

Lennox's sleep on her lap lasted until the afternoon. So he had to go to the hospital so she woke him up.

"Wake up, Lennox. It's late. You're going to the hospital," Dionne said, shaking Lennox's shoulder.

But he hasn't woken up yet so he repeats the shaking. After a while, it moved and stretched out.

"What time is it?" it asked, opening its eyes.

"It's four in the afternoon. Get up with the clothes you're going to wear already ready. I'll just prepare you something to eat," he answered with a smile.

"Thank you so much for being a walking alarm clock. I couldn't have done it without you. Life is tiring," he answered with a laugh then got up and went straight up the stairs.

She went into the kitchen and prepared food for the man so he wouldn't be hungry later. Maybe there is an unexpected surgery so there is no time to eat. While Lennox was about to enter his room. He will take a shower now before getting dressed so he can feel fresh. He didn't want to go in because he felt so good lying on Dionne's lap. Its fragrance makes her sleep so good. It was like he was too lazy to come in and he just wanted to soak in his house while he was with Dioone but he couldn't because he had work and couldn't ask for leave. After a while, he heard a knock outside the door.

"Are you done?" Dionne asked.

"I'm going to take a shower, Dionne," he answered.

"Okay. Just hurry up because the food might get cold. I just heated it," said Dionne.

Lennox smiled.

"Yes. I'll speed up a little," he answered.

After a while, he heard his footsteps coming down the stairs so he immediately entered the bathroom and turned on the shower, and started taking a shower. A few hours later, he came out with a towel wrapped around his waist. He took some clothes from his closet. He smiled when he saw that his clothes were neatly folded inside. The width of his smile is just how good it is to have a woman at home. So he didn't make a mistake in letting Dionne live here. He has a caretaker and a washerman. It's a double package. After a while, he came down from his room and went straight into the kitchen. He didn't see Dionne inside, maybe she was in the room resting. He pulled out a chair and sat down and started eating. He was hungry and just now he felt when he was going to go to work. He ate as hard as he could and when he finished, he quickly left the house and went straight inside his car and drove it away from the house. He didn't get to say goodbye to Dionne because it was too late when he looked at his wristwatch. An hour later he reached the hospital, and his other colleague whose duty was the day shift also went home. He was about to go inside and when he was walking down the hallway of the hospital, Kiley walked with him. The size of his grin at her while looking at her.

"I guess you're having fun, Kiley?" asked Lennox.

"Isn't it allowed? Of course, I was able to take leave for three months, so I'm happy. Now I'm willing to work even all night," the man replied with a smile.

He also went with him entering his office which he was surprised by.

"Why are you here? Don't you have anything to do in your office?" Lennox asked.

"Not yet. Let's talk first because we haven't seen each other in months. I miss you so much," he answered with a laugh.

Lennox just shook his head at Kiley's joke. It's really sad when a colleague doesn't come in for a few months, but Lennox knows that this man's purpose is other than gossip. But he won't give her a chance to ask her but she doesn't seem to have any plans to leave.

"Let's talk later. I have a lot to do," he lied.

He saw in his peripheral vision that Kiley smirked at what he said. It didn't seem to bite when he said he would do something else. Lennox knew the man wanted to know something from him. But he is not in the mood to talk right now because he feels so heavy that he wants to sleep all day. He wanted to have a break because he had only been working for a few months and his whole body felt tired. Kiley faced him and patted his shoulder.

"You could tell me a lot but you chose to keep quiet. I thought we were friends?" Kiley asked.

Lennox sighed. The fool is feeling guilty. Very annoying. What did he know that he didn't say? He didn't think he was hiding anything.

"I have no idea what you're talking about, Kiley," she answered shaking the man and staring at him.

"Really? If Ayesha hadn't told me, I wouldn't have known. That you can buy a house because you plan to live there with Lennox. You can tell me that you're in love with that friend of ours. There's nothing wrong with love. What's wrong with that is when you can't admit to him what you feel," Kiley said seriously.

Lennox just sighed because this was a long explanation because they had already started digging about Dionne. He can't say here that he didn't feel anything for the woman if Kiley feels his feelings towards that woman. So it's hard to deny. It's crazy. He plans to confess everything to this man because he wants to at the right time. He hasn't even told Dionne yet and she's already confused.

"Is there something wrong with that, Kiley? We're friends and I don't have anyone to hang out with at home, so I pulled Dionne so I could have someone with me. You're the only one who thinks too much, you're a gossip," he laughed. but Kiley didn't laugh, his face was so serious that he was stunned.
