Chapter 48

“I was about to come outside, love. You miss me?” he asked, turning around in my arms and spreading his legs so our crotches fit comfortably together. He placed his hands in the back pockets of my jeans and massaged my ass.

“Always do,” I replied, and leaned in to kiss his lips, still wet from the liquid he’d drunk. Tyler angled his head and our mouths slid together in the way we loved best.

Our relationship had only gotten better with time. The love between us kept growing, expanding into something that took my breath away daily. I loved Tyler, and he loved me. He showed me how much in the way he loved our land, our home, our frolics together in the woods, the way he loved me in bed. Speaking of which…

I broke our kiss. “Hey, you gonna fuck me tonight?”

Tyler’s eyes lit up and changed to the panther’s stare. “You have to ask?” He nipped my chin and removed his hands from my pockets. “Come on, babe. Let’s join the party. I’ll take care of you later.” He kissed my cheek, grabbed my hand, and pulled me behind him out of the house and around the back to have fun with our neighbors.

Hours later, our bellies full and everyone gone for the night, Tyler and I lay together in our bed, my head on his chest as he slowly rubbed my back, up and down.

“Do you ever think about Remmy or Griffin? Carl, even?”

I looked at him. “Why do you ask?”

“It’s just, we’ve all lost family, in one way or another. We just had different ways of dealing with it, you know?”

“Yeah.” I wondered where this was going.

“Carl,” he continued, his touch sending shivers up and down my spine. “He was on a vendetta. Couldn’t see past the anger and resentment. Me, I was lost in grief and fear. You were the only one in all of this who had the healthiest response to tragedy.”

“I don’t know about that. I was pretty broken up when Ben died,” I said.

“Yeah, but you didn’t go out plotting revenge like Carl, or hiding away from the world and never putting down roots, like I did,” Tyler countered.

“Never compare yourself to Carl, love. He’s a sick bastard. You are nothing like that,” I said, sternly.

“But—”

I cut him off. “Nope, don’t even try it. No one can hold a candle to you. Your loss made you strong, and you found your strength, your sense of self eventually, all right? Never forget that.” I kissed his chest.

“Love you, too,” he replied, and rubbed his other hand through my hair.

“This harvest was good, wasn’t it, Felix?” he asked, changing the subject.

“Yeah, the best we’ve had yet. It’ll get better every year, I really believe that.”

Tyler massaged my scalp. “Think Uncle Ben would be proud of us?”

I didn’t have to think about it. “I know he would. He’s been keeping watch over us this whole time, didn’t you know that?”

I saw Tyler’s beautiful smile in the moonlight. “Yeah, I know.” He pushed me onto my back and rolled on top of me. I wrapped my legs around us, my arms around his waist and feasted on his mouth.

God, I never tired of that, the way he gave me everything. His hands cradled my face, and Tyler proceeded to bully my tongue into submission. I let him get away with that on special occasions, like finishing a harvest.

Tyler pulled away from my mouth and moved down my neck to my chest. I let my legs fall to the side so he would have room to maneuver. He bit my nipples, and I howled. We’d discovered that I liked a little pain with my pleasure sometimes, so Tyler took full advantage of that.

He reached my cock, and it was hard and leaking, ready for attention. Tyler took it down to the back of his throat and swallowed.

“Uh!” I cried as I did my best to hold back release. Only Tyler had ever gotten me so hot so fast. I always had to fight to hold back from coming when he did this. “Please, baby. I want you in me, or I’m gonna blow,” I begged.

“Okay, lover,” Tyler replied after moving off my cock. “Get the lube, huh?” He mouthed my balls while I reached into the drawer with one hand to find the tube. We’d tossed our condoms long ago. As it was, we didn’t know if either of us could get diseases. We’d never been sick, ever. Neither of us had been tested, not wanting our blood type to raise any eyebrows.
