Chapter 219: She Amazes Me!

**Rameric's POV:**

I looked at the spot I was to mark before looking over at Raiven, still standing there right beside my padded slumber. I then looked back at my mate, at her eyes glowing right beneath me. Their deep, grass-colored shade was rich and vibrant when she looked into mine. When I opened my mouth to mark her, her lips parted slightly as she gasped softly. I elongated my canines, showing her before I lowered myself closer to the soft skin beneath her shoulder, right under the bone by her neck.

"Here we go," I said softly, trying to better prepare her for when I was going to bite into her.

I allowed my lips to come in contact with her skin first, kissing the area softly. I then opened my mouth wider, allowing my elongated teeth to graze right over the spot I was going to mark her. I could feel her body tremble lightly underneath mine as I moved my teeth into the proper position.

"Wait," she said suddenly, opening her eyes wider.

I knew she looked somewhat fearful as to what was about to happen to her. I made sure not to move away from the position I was in. I remained completely still. I knew she was trying to process these thoughts. I knew this was hard for her to accept after everything she'd been through since she met me. But, I *was* going to take all of that pain away from her. She would not have to live the rest of her life with me in pain, anymore.

It was at that moment that Raiven made his way over closer to us. I made sure not to move when he reached around both sides of my head, gently grasping her hands. He moved them into position under me, so she could place her hands on top of my shoulders. I remained still, taking in a deep breath when he spoke to her, helping to further explain my next move.

"Alasia, you might prefer it, if you were to grab here," he said softly at first. "Trust me, you are going to want something to hold on to!"

When I felt her fingers wrap around the tops of my shoulders, I sank my teeth into her skin. Her grip intensified as I could feel her nails start to penetrate my shoulders. She gasped, taking in a deep breath as I sank my teeth deeper into the side of her neck, right on her marking spot. I could taste her blood as I lightly sucked it into my mouth.

My eyes opened wide when I tasted her. To be able to truly taste one's mate, was no small thing! I did not know there was this much to this. I could see everything about her, flowing through my mind like past memories. I could see her lineage, and feel her memories as if they were my own. I could see all of her experiences, even the ones that caused her a deep amount of agony in the back of my mind.

I searched her thoughts this time, sucking on her skin a bit more, sinking my teeth even deeper into the flesh of her marking spot. This caused her to take in another deep breath as she gasped, digging her fingers into the skin on my shoulder even more. This time, I searched her more recent thoughts. I needed to know about her recent experiences. The ones she was forced to endure over this past week.

When I found what I was looking for, I could not believe it! Everything she was forced to endure. I could feel all of her pain, the heartbreak she went through, the agony of thinking she had killed me all while I was here in my Chambers resting. No more! No longer was I going to allow her to feel this much pain and torment which I had caused her!

I closed my eyes when I took in my final deep breath. With that final breath, breathing in deep, I sucked deeply onto her skin. I made sure my efforts were light, so as to not cause her any more unnecessary pain. I made a strong effort, drawing all the pain she was feeling away from her. I took all the anguish and torment she was feeling deep into my mind.

When I knew she had nothing left to give, I took in a deep breath as I released my bite on her neck. I looked at her eyes and they were wide. She was speechless. She was staring right past me as I looked down at her marking spot, seeing my teeth marks there on her delicate and bruised skin. I then looked back at her eyes and continued watching as her gaze till it finally met with mine.

"Wh-what, what did you do?!" She asked me lightly, almost as if she was out of breath.

"How do you feel?" I asked, gasping lightly for my next breath.

"I," she said, gasping for air once again as she tried to find the words to say. "I, I don't know how to feel."

"Are you in any pain?" I asked her as I closed my eyes, recalling the pain she had experienced over this past week.

I was ever so amazed by her resilient strength! I couldn't believe that, since I met her, I had considered her to be a weak and insignificant human. Everything that I have learned since then has proved that she was anything *but* that. I never knew someone could have a pain tolerance to be that high either. It was some of the highest tolerance I've ever encountered, and I was a Lycan Alpha.

Over the years, I have had my fair share of painful memories and experiences I could otherwise forget. However, she would soon know them too, that is, once she begins to accept and sense my feelings through the Mate Bond as well. For now, I am pleased that I could help relieve her of some of the pain she was feeling, all by taking it into myself.

I knew Rager was thrilled by the fact that I marked my mate. Now, he could help heal his mate, Amora. This would make his mate stronger as well as help Alasia to heal. Soon, they would both be able to feed off each other's strength and rely on one another's abilities.

I knew that soon, Alasia would be able to feel my strength and if there ever came a time when we were not together, and she was in danger, I would know from her thoughts. I would be able to find her as I would be able to view her surroundings through her eyes and pinpoint her exact location. I could then better deal with the ones who harmed her, as I would know with my own eyes who would be responsible.

"Rameric?" She asked me softly as I looked back at her, stroking the side of her face with my hand. "Why do I not *feel* any pain? I was hurting and now, and now I'm not!"

She seemed a bit confused by this new realization when I smiled at her before I said anything. "That is part of the Mate Bond since I completed it, all by marking my mate, my love. I took all your pain away from you, as I told you I would."

Her eyes went wide with amazement. I knew she was shocked that I had the ability to do such a thing for her. I'm willing to bet she didn't believe it was possible as I saw her eyes shed more tears. This time, they were not full of pain but amazement and surprise!
