Chapter 6
Else when, 22 years into the future…
Trevor Adu pulled up in front of his home, late from work. The owner of the ‘Triple A’ group of enterprises took a sip from a bottle in his car before killing the engine to step out. Trevor Nana Adu, entrepreneur, millionaire, philanthropist, beloved father, saviour; there weren’t enough adjectives in the world to describe his greatness. He exhaled slowly, eyeing his mansion up ahead with a fond smile. I could stand here forever. His smile weakened at the thought of having to climb up the flight of stairs to get to his front door. He turned to look back at his car. Considering how tired he was, he’d much rather sleep in it than climb up, he was thinking.
“Are you going to stand there all evening drooling over your own house, or are you going to come on up and kiss me?” a voice asked from behind him.
He turned and smiled. “Why don’t you come down here and kiss me instead?”
“And end up making out in the back of your car? We’re not 22 anymore Trev," Mrs. Adu laughed. “Come on up, the kids miss their daddy, and frankly… I miss daddy too”
Trevor smiled at his wife standing just outside the opened door. “Well if you put it like that I can hardly decline.”
With those words he climbed the stairs, making lewd gestures at his wife and causing her to giggle. Life was good, especially if you were Trevor Nana Adu.
