Chapter 183: Are You Feeling Sick?

Grayson

I gave Jasmine a small smile and she smiled back at me, walking past me and back to the front door. I turned around and headed back to the kitchen, carefully picking up the cake holders and walking them over to the table in the dining room. I placed them down neatly on the decorative table, making sure they were in place before I walked away. I glanced at her as I was passing by, noticing something seemed off. She had her hand on her head, taking in a deep breath as she leaned against the wall.

“Are you alright, kitten?” I asked, walking over to her. She put her hand down and looked at me.

“I am okay.”

“You don't seem okay.” I said, putting my hand on her head to check for temperature.

“Are you feeling sick?” I asked.

“Just a little but light headed. I am alright.”

“Did you eat something yet?” She nodded her head.

“Yes, I did.”

“Did you drink something yet?” She looked around before shaking her head.

“I don't think so.”

I let out a sigh before taking her hand.

“Alright, this is what we will do. You are going to sit down while I get you some water and I will finish up the decorations.”

“No, I can finish..”

“It is not a request, it is a demand. You will do as I say, won't you? You like being a good girl, right?”

“Yes, sir.”

“Then go and sit down on the couch, I will bring you some water and by the time I have finished up with your decorations, I expect the glass to be empty.”

She nodded her head and mouthed okay before listening to my demands and heading over to the couch. I walked back to the kitchen and grabbed one of the glasses from the cupboard before opening the fridge and taking out the water bottle. I pour some on the glass. Once it was filled up, I put the container back in the fridge and walked back to her with the glass of water and placed it down on the coffee table. I walked back to the table with all the decorations and continued with decorating the house.

I was done after some time before Ronald's arrival. Damien had already texted me saying they will soon be on their way. I walked out from the dining room and over to the living room where I saw Jasmine passed out. She wasn't getting much sleep these past few days but no one was sure why. I was glad that she was sleeping now so I didn't want to disturb her. I carefully and quickly picked up the glass from the coffee table, seeing as all the water was gone. At least she had obeyed my demands, I just wanted to make sure she didn't stay dehydrated. I grabbed one of the blankets hanging on the head of the couch and threw it over her, giving her the comfort of some warmth so she would continue to sleep. She looked so peaceful when she slept, not a care in her mind to make her panic and overthink things. It wasn't a common occurrence anymore but it would still happen from time to time. I sat down on the couch beside her, letting out a sigh as I continued to think of how wonderful our life had now become.

I was so glad to leave that hell hole we used to call our home, it was nothing to me but trash. To me, it only held all of our bad memories and trauma. I wasn't happy over where we used to live, it just made me feel like I was reliving the same horrible life every day. That was the reason I used all the mafia work as a distraction. Most of the work includes traveling which meant I could leave and take a break for a few days. I didn't care who I had to kill or what I had to do, I just needed to find my escape. But now, I don't need to escape, I have everything I need and I didn't intend on letting go of it.

I continued to sit there for the next few minutes, looking around the things from my phone out of boredom while waiting for their arrival. We all got new numbers and socials just in case someone would try tracking us from the mafia or try contacting us. We wanted to be free from it completely. I have never felt happier. I had soon gotten the text that they were coming home, getting up from the couch and walking back to her. I lightly shook her little body, watching her slowly wake up.

“Hmm?” She hummed, rubbing her eyes with her hand.

“They are almost home, princess.” I informed her.

“Okay,” she said as she started to get up.

“How far are they?”

“I would say about five minutes or so.” I replied, sitting down next to her and immediately pulling her into my lap.

She was startled by my sudden action, giving me a smile as she looked up at my face. Without any hesitation, I connected her soft and warm lips with mine. I kissed her passionately, almost like it would be our last, she was so fucking precious to me. I wanted to show her how much I loved her every day she breathed. I held her close as I continued to kiss her, a soft moan coming out of her rewardingly. If I could, I would have just stripped her right now and had her my way right on this couch. I craved her body, just a single touch from her was enough to make me go wild. After a few minutes of practically making out, I had pulled away from her and she gave me a smile. I smiled back at her, it wasn't so rare anymore and it was actually quite nice to smile once in a while.

“I love you, Grayson.” She said softly, placing a kiss on my cheek.

“I love you too, princess. So fucking much.”

She got up from my lap and stood on her feet, I got up as well and stood beside her as she started stretching.

“Oh, wait, come.” She quickly said and ran over to the table.

I walked over to her and watched as she picked something up, holding it out for me to take. I took the tube from her hand and looked at it.

“And what is this?” I asked.

“Confetti poppers for when he walks through the door, Damien had one too.” She said with excitement.
