Chapter 178: She Is Here With Me
Ronald
There was a different voice in the background of the call, I tried to pay close attention to what Jason was talking to the other person. I couldn't hear much of it, I looked at the guys and they shook their heads, they couldn't hear anything either. His voice finally came back to the phone.
“Sorry, but I have to go.”
“Wait, please tell me you know where she is.” He went quiet for a while until he sighed and spoke again.
“She is here with me.”
We all let out a sigh of relief as we looked at each other. I was thankful that she was alive but out of all the people that could have helped her, why would she choose Jason? Had she trusted him now even after everything? I had so many questions going unanswered.
“Is she okay? Is she hurt?” I asked.
“She is okay, well, she just accidentally cut her hand with a broken glass but other than that, she is good. She isn't hurt badly.”
Looking in front of me, I could see Charles's car up ahead. I pushed down harder on the gear pedals to faster and caught up with him as we all continued to speak with Jason.
“How did you find her?” Grayson asked next.
“She called me about two weeks ago saying she was lost and she needed help. She told me that she wanted to call you guys but she was scared, though I don't know the reason.” He answered. Grayson seemed confused as did the rest of us.
“Why would you help her? You tried to hurt her at one point if I am not mistaken.”
Some months ago, I had seen her at the store on my way to work, talking with Edwin. We talked and exchanged phone numbers, because she said she would help me, which she did. So I decided I wanted to return the favor, it was the least I could do.”
“Well thank you for that but listen though, you need to get her out there right now.” I said quickly.
“Wait, why?” He asked.
“We can't explain a lot to you but we can tell you that someone is trying to look for her right now and if he finds you guys, then bad things can happen. If you can send over your address, so we know where to find her, that would be great.” He paused for a moment.
“How do I know this isn't a trick?”
Trust us, please, Jason. The man that is after her is not up to any good. She can't stay there for long if he finds her which also puts you in danger.” Damien tried convincing him.
“Where do we go then? There aren't a lot of places I can take her.”
“Then, give us your location and we can see from here. Keep her inside and away from windows just in case. Where is she now?”
“She is in the living room watching television. I will send you the address right now to keep her inside. I have to hang up now.”
“Alright, we will key you go now, bye Jason.”
With that Grayson hung up the call and set the phone down, we waited until he texted us the address. Grayson put into the GPS for me once he received and read it. When I looked at how long it would take to get there, it said it was only fifteen minutes away. Quickly taking a turn, I stopped following Charles's car and headed for the destination.

Jasmine POV
I carefully wrapped my hand that I had accidentally cut on a broken glass, clipping the end so it would stay in place. Jason soon came out of the room and looked over at me.
“Are you okay?” He asked as he went to grab the broom to clean the glass.
“I am okay,” I replied, looking over at him.
“I am sorry, I didn't mean to walk in unannounced, especially on a call.” He smiled at me before looking down and starting to sweep the glass.
“It is okay, don't worry. Are you hungry right now?” He asked.
“Not really, my stomach hurts.”
“That is because you are not eating enough.” He said as he threw out the cleaned up glass and looked at me.
“I can make you something small and you can try eating that, is that okay?”
I was hesitant but nodded my head in response. He gave me a thumbs up and opened up the fridge to find something for me to eat. His mother soon came out of her room in her work attire.
“I will be back soon.” She said and Jason walked up to her and kissed her cheek.
“Don't do anything stupid.” She added.
“We won't, mother.” He replied with a smile.
She walked to the door and grabbed her keys, leaving the room soon after. I got up and locked the door before walking over to the counter top and setting down on one of the spiny chairs. These chairs were fun to spin around in, it made me happy. I had only just found out that Jason and his mother were actually foreigners. It was a pretty cool discovery and he taught me a few of his languages too. I still couldn't form a sentence correctly but I did try at least. I have been wanting to learn different languages, especially my native language so I could speak with them more but I don't think that would happen anymore. The guilt of leaving them sunk deeper into my body and I hated myself for the decision I made but if I die, I don't want it to be by their hands. I would rather have it done by my own hands. I knew they loved me and maybe there was a chance they wouldn't kill me but I didn't want to risk it. Ever since then, I have been covering my tattoo with makeup so I don't have to always see the horrible reminder every time I pick something up.
“N..no work today?” I asked Jason.
He put two pieces of bread in the toaster and turned to me from the other side of the counter.
“I have the weekend off apparently, I worked so many hours, they forced me to take a break.”
“That is nice then.” I quietly said, putting my head down on the counter.
“Still thinking about getting a job?” He asked me.
“I.. don't know, I never went to high school so I can't get jobs.”
He made a small humming sound before we both went silent again. Learning more about him was fun, though we couldn't hold long conversations but he was still a pretty nice nice guy to talk to. I wish I had met this version of him first
