Chapter 46 Instead
Instead of a wedding night, we had ice cream and we slept in watching a movie, instead of waking up to having kisses and sharing cuddles in the morning, we woke up thinking of how the dinner was going to be.
We returned to the house in no time, I can still feel the presence of my father, it sent chills down my spine, it made me feel scared, I didn’t head into his room, I was too scared to do so.
The guards were sworn to secrecy, not to say a word till after the dinner and I know I can trust them.
Adrian and I have it all ready, the food, the staff, and every single thing, I wanted to see the shock on their faces I would be wearing gloves so no one would notice my ring, at least not until I tell them and Adrian would not be wearing his not until, we announce it too.
Sarah is still nowhere to be found, it’s like she disappeared through thin air and yet I knew she didn’t, a part of me already knows what the truth is and I was scared of it, I was worried to let myself even think about it.

I wore a peach dress, a dress Papa had gotten for me, I never had the opportunity to wear it, he wanted me to wear it when I would meet Adrain for the first time but I was upset and I didn’t, I needed to show him that I was upset.
I regret it, I wish I had worn it. I wish he saw how it looked on me, I wish he would see that I am married, I wish he would see that he chose the right man for me, a man who would be here for me.
“Are you ready?” I heard a voice from behind, I turned around and my eyes met Adrain.
I instantly pushed back the tears that threatened to fall down my cheek. “I want to make them pay.”
“We have to wait, be careful, because they did this someone held them and if it’s it’s Gabriel, we need to be careful.”
“I am scared to see his face, he looks like Papa.” I breathed out. “What do I do, how can I look at him without breaking down, how can I hear Papa's voice, when I hear him call me Elara again and I will not be able to lose myself, I know he is not him, I know he can’t be him but they have the same everything and it scares me.” I breathed out.
“Remember that your papa never trusted him, he never saw him as himself, you know your papa better than anyone else and when you look at his twin brother, you will be able to tell the difference, you will not break down and if you do, I am here with you, no one will dare say a word about it.” He said and I smiled.
No one will say a word about it.

“Look at you Elara, his soul is not even in hell and you already look so happy and comfortable.” Noah smiled. “I finally told my father what your lover boy did to me and he is going to pay.”
“Are you not too old to be having your dad take care of your affairs? I think that’s a bit immature, and I see you are alone, your girlfriend is not with you, they never last when they are with you.” I smiled, a wave of anger and confidence was over me.
They killed him and they dare to walk into this room to have dinner with me.
I wanted to make him feel hurt, I wanted to hurt every one of them, I didn’t care if they knew or not, it didn’t matter to me, I wanted them all gone.
“Now that we are done staring at each other, don’t you think it’s time for us to sit, don’t worry we will wait for Gabriel.”
“Uncle Gabriel, say his name with respect,” Sam said and I smiled at him.
“I didn’t even know he existed, he is not my uncle, Papa never liked him and he may look like Papa but I don’t care.”
“You are a spoilt brat Elara and I blame no one but your father, he did this to you, but it’s fine, I will make sure you are as good as my Alana, you will learn to respect, you will learn to listen and this pride you have, it will be all gone; your little boyfriend over there, he will get tried and he will leave.”
“I will rather if you don’t include me in your family fued, I will not be disrespected, I will not stand here and watch or listen to any of you say another word about me or even Elara, I am the Russian mafia king, stronger than your mafia, and I would be damned if you start a war because you can’t control your mouths, you and I both know that, neither of you are capable of taking or handling a war.” He said and my breath hitches.
The way he is confident, sent chills down my spine, it made me feel good, it made me realize that, he will make sure that all they learnt to learn, they learn to respect and they learn to never ever say anything bad about anyone.
“Are we clear on that?” He asked the room and they didn’t say a word, I guess there are limits to what they have to say. And it made me happy.
The moment we headed into the dining room, they all settled down and they didn’t start eating.
“Tell me, why do you all respect and care for Gabriel and not my papa?” I asked and they didn’t speak,
They are waiting for him to come.
I didn’t bother speaking either when I heard a voice that sent chills down my spine.
“Elara.”
