One month Later…

“Mom.” I yelled as I headed further into the house, I glanced at her with a smile on my face, mom settled on the couch, Javier was no where in sight, he started school a month ago and he has been the best student anyone could ever ask for.

i always knew he is a good kid.

He aced all of his paper and they are even thinking of letting him skip a grade, in just a month, I guess he had always been a smart kid but Gabriel never let him leave the house to see his full potential.

I headed toward mom and I settled beside her.

“Is Adrian home?.” I asked and she shakes her head.

“Work. He told you tho morning.” She mumbled against her breath. “Are you okay Elara? It seems like something is wrong.” She said.

I don’t know if something is wrong, I am not so sure about it yet I feel like there’s something wrong, something is gong on and I wanted to tell her about it.

“So I did a test, last night and it came out positive.” I breathed out, that explains why I has been so moody lately, why I keep forgetting everything I have to do, yesterday, I forgot why I walked into my room, and it annoyed the hell out of me.

I never recalled things like this and I hated it, I didn’t like the idea of forgetting when I gave a chore to do.

I glanced at her with a smile on my face; she looked confused for a moments before I placed my hand on my stomach and her eyes widened in shock.

“Elara.”

“I am not very sure, I took only one test, I got a couple more today to make sure it’s really real, I don’t want Adrian to know about this unless I am very sure about it.” I stated as she glanced at me.

“I am about to be grand ma.” She whispered with a smile on he face. “And Javier is about to be an uncle, you gave that to us , you made us this happy, and now our family is about to expand.” She whispered when I wrapped my hand around her and I pulled her closer to me.

Mom is a bit emotional and I was too, this reminds me of papa, how happy he will be to find out he is about to be a grand father, I know my papa and I know how dramatic he will be about me trying to make him look good, and how having a kid means he is about to retire soon, I know how dramatic he will be about of all of it yet I know my papa and how happy he will be.

I had it in mind to name my first son after papa, and I had hoped that Adrian won’t have a problem with it.

“Mom I’m not very sure, will you stay with me while I take a test please.” I whispered and she nodded at me.

All four tests sat on my bathroom counter as mom and I stared at it, waiting for the time, it feels like five minutes is forever.

“You know Adrian will be excited, he loves you and he will love to have a kid.”

“I know, but we talked about having them after two years, not now mama.” I breathed out. “If I become a mother, I will be happy, but what do I even know about being a mom?.”

“You have me right beside you, remember I have two, you will have all the hell you can get, when I became a mother, I was a mess, but having to wake up to see that smile on your face, it was all worth the troubles o have been through, you will be a great mom Elara, I see the way you take care of Javier, you are more of a mother to him than sister, you yell at him, you school him and you teach him the rights and wrongs and who does he come to when he passes a test.”

“Me.” I whispered with a smile on my face.

“He come to you, not because he wants a gift, because he wants to show proud you are, he wants to see how happy you are and he wants to see you smile, and tell him he did good.” She said and I smiled.

I have Adrian with me, we will be able to do this, I have a feeling it’s going to be good.

My breath hitches when I heard the timer and mom and I looked at each other, she held my hand softly when we leaned in and our eyes met the test, it’s all positive, double stripes, my eyes filled with tears when I looked at mom

I am about to be a mom, I am about to have my own kids, I am about to be more happy, Adrian and I are about to have a family, he will be a better father than his was ever, our family will love each other unlike papa’s family, we will care for each other, this will be our chance to finally have a family that cares, our chance to have a family that loves each other more than anything.

“You have to tell him, he is going to he happy, you are going to what the house all to yourself to celebrate.”

“Is that how you told papa about me?.” I asked and she smiled

“No, I had one of the guards get a hotel, decorated it and I lured your papa there, told him about you, he was so happy, we spent the night there, we talked about  How much we will love you .” She said and I smiled.

“I hope I am a good parent as much as the two of you.” I whispered with a smile.
