96. Dancing Under The Stars
96. Dancing Under The Stars
Alina’s Pov
I sat on the plush sofa, staring out the panoramic windows of the penthouse, the city below a blur of movement and lights. Asher was playing with his blocks on the floor, his tiny hands creating towers and bridges, his innocent laughter filling the room. Since I couldn’t go to work anymore, I found myself with more time than I knew what to do with, boredom creeping in like an unwelcome guest. Anders walked into the living room, a discreet shopping bag in hand.
"Miss. Alina," he said with his usual calm demeanor, "Mr. Maxwell sent this for you. He expects you to be ready in an hour. You have to go somewhere." I blinked in surprise, taking the bag from him. "But what about Asher?"
"Mr. Maxwell has already made arrangements. Martha and I will take care of Asher," he replied smoothly, leaving no room for argument. Curiosity piqued, I headed to the bedroom, opening the bag to find a stunning red spaghetti strap dress inside. It was accompanied by a set of diamond jewelry—a necklace and earrings that sparkled brilliantly under the light. My breath caught in my throat. This was exquisite, far more expensive than anything I’d ever worn. A note slipped from the folds of the dress, and I picked it up, my heart skipping a beat as I read, "I can't wait to see you in this."
With growing excitement, I dressed quickly, the silky fabric hugging my curves perfectly. I fastened the necklace and put on the earrings, feeling transformed. I put on minimal makeup and did my hair. I decided not to put on my wig tonight and be the real me. When I emerged from the bedroom, Asher’s eyes lit up. “Mommy, you look like a princess!” he exclaimed, his little face beaming with pure joy.
“Thank you, sweetheart,” I said, bending down to hug him. His excitement was contagious, and I couldn’t help but smile. Anders appeared again, this time to guide me to the Bentley waiting outside. He opened the door for me, and I slid into the plush leather seat, anticipation bubbling within me. The drive was smooth, the city lights blurring into a dreamy haze as we moved towards a more secluded area. Eventually, the car stopped in front of a beautifully decorated opening, adorned with fairy lights that twinkled like stars. Soft, melodious music played in the background, creating an enchanting atmosphere. I followed the lighted path, my heart pounding in my chest.
At the end of the passage stood Theodore, his jaw dropping as he took in the sight of me. "You look ethereal," he said, his voice filled with awe. "Truly like a goddess." A blush crept up my cheeks.
"Thank you," I replied shyly. Theodore took my hand, guiding me to a table set for two. The spread was incredible, dishes laid out with meticulous care. He raised his wine glass, toasting,
"For my lady." We began eating, and the flavors exploded in my mouth.
"It's delicious!" I exclaimed, savoring every bite.
"I'm glad you like it," Theodore said, a satisfied smile playing on his lips.
"For real, I could kiss the chef! That’s how good it is," I said, my playful side getting the better of me. But I didn't expect it to backfire the next second. Theodore’s eyes sparkled with mischief.
"In that case, I'm waiting." I blinked in surprise.
"Wait, what? You made this?"
"I did," he confirmed, his grin widening. "Now, don’t go back on your words, Alina."
Laughing, I leaned on the table, “now we all know, I wasn't really going to kiss the chef.”As we finished the last bite of our meal, Theodore stood and extended his hand toward me, his eyes sparkling with a mix of excitement and intensity.
“May I have this dance?” he asked, his voice a soft caress. Without hesitation, I placed my hand in his, feeling a shiver run through me at the touch. He led me to the center of the clearing, the fairy lights above creating a canopy of twinkling stars. The soft music that had been playing in the background now swelled, a sensuous melody that wrapped around us like a warm embrace. Theodore pulled me close, his hand resting on the small of my back, the other entwining with mine. Our bodies moved in perfect harmony, the dance starting slow and tender but quickly growing more intense and sensual. Each glide of his fingers on my skin sent electric sparks through me, his touch both commanding and gentle.
We moved as one, our bodies swaying and turning, dipping and rising in a seamless rhythm. Theodore’s eyes never left mine, his gaze dark and smoldering, filled with an unspoken promise. The atmosphere around us grew thick with desire, the air charged with an erotic energy that made my pulse race. At intervals, he dipped me low, his strong arms holding me securely, and each time he pulled me back up, our faces were inches apart, breaths mingling. His hand slid along my spine, causing a delicious shiver to course through me, and I felt as though I might melt right there in his arms.
“I—” I began to break the silence, but Theodore silenced me with a kiss, deep and passionate. His lips were demanding, yet tender, conveying everything words couldn’t. My thoughts scattered, and I lost myself in the taste and feel of him. His hands roamed my back, pulling me even closer as the kiss deepened, our bodies pressed together in a fervent embrace. The world around us faded away, leaving just the two of us in this bubble of intense connection and longing. His kiss was consuming, making my knees weak, but he held me firmly, never breaking the dance even as our lips stayed locked in a passionate exchange.
When we finally pulled apart, both of us breathless, Theodore’s eyes were filled with a fire that mirrored my own feelings. He rested his forehead against mine, his breath warm on my lips. “Alina,” he whispered, his voice a low rumble that sent a thrill through me. “You have no idea what you do to me.”
I looked up at him, “I think I have a pretty good idea,” I replied, my voice trembling slightly with the intensity of my feelings. We continued to dance, the music guiding our movements, but it was more than just a dance—it was a silent conversation, a melding of souls. Each step, each touch, each look conveyed the depth of our connection, the unspoken bond that drew us together. As the song came to an end, Theodore held me close, his lips brushing against my ear.
“This is just the beginning, Alina. There’s so much more I want to show you, so much more I want to share with you.” I nodded, unable to find the words to express how much this night, this moment, meant to me. Instead, I leaned in and kissed him again, pouring all my gratitude, love, and desire into that single act. I don't know where I got the sudden urge or confidence from, but I kissed Theodore Maxwell first this time! “Fuck you drive me insane!” Theodore groaned before picking me up bridal style without breaking the kiss. Just by the raw passion and desire from his kiss, I knew the night was far from over.
