Chapter 133: Moving Day Part 2
Chapter 133: Moving Day Part 2
Ace’s P.O.V.
“Where to?” I asked her as we drove down the street.
“That furniture store on the amin road.” She answers me as she sets her GPS for directions. “Take a right at the next light.” She instructs me as I keep my eyes on the road. The store was near to where we were, I parked and helped her out of the car, escorting her inside the store.
“What should we look at first?” I asked her when I saw all the furniture in front of us.
“Let’s start with aa bed first, we won’t have anywhere to sleep if we don’t get a bed first.” She says looking cute as she heads for a sales rep. to help us out.
“You know we are getting all the furniture at once it isn’t like we are going to have to choose one or the other and get it later.” I tell her, thinking that she must be thinking budget wisely and not credit cards.
“Oh yes. What do you want to look at first?” She asked as if she was being selfish even though I did ask her first.
“Let’s look at beds like you wanted and then we can go from there.” He suggested.
“Don’t forget we have to go to the department store to for cookware, utensils and dishes.” she tells me as she listed the off her fingers.”
It seemed like it took us hours; she picked out a mattress that we both liked, and a wooden platform frame. (I wonder if she remembers that we are going to need bed sheets, pillowcases, a blanket, and a comforter.) I think to myself as I watch her get excited over the littlest things.
“Hey, do not forget the lamps. How many do you think we are going to need?”
“The living room is big so maybe four, and two for the bedroom. Oh, look, they have beds in a bag! Can we get one?”
“Sure, pick the one that you want the only thing I ask is that it is neutral.” She skips over to the bed in a bag promotion bin and rummages through until she finds a cream color one with beige outlining flowers on it. That is as neutral as she is willing to go.
“This one, ok?” She asked me as she held it up above her head.
“Yes!” I answered. “Where to now?” I asked her. We have a mattress and bed frame, bed in a bag, and six lamps.
“The living room is big enough for a good size sofa, loveseat and two chairs.” She says skipping over to the furniture now as I hold the bedding, and the order cards for the mattress and frame. She picks out a fluffy light gray sofa that just happens to come with a matching loveseat and chairs. We take the card and walk towards the service desk.
We place our orders and that we want them to be delivered. The only problem is that it is scheduled to arrive in the afternoon tomorrow, and I have that tuxedo fitting to go to. She looks over at me, knowing exactly what I am thinking.
“I can change the day for you to go for the fitting, instead of tomorrow we can see about Sunday instead.” She suggested.
“Ok, I can do that.” I said as we set up for delivery for tomorrow. “That means that we’re going to have to pack an overnight bag to sleep at your brothers house.” I tell her in case she was not thinking because of being too excited. After all we decided to cut the shopping trip short and go to the department store tomorrow night or Sunday after my tuxedo fitting. We went back to the apartment with the bedding, putting it in our room when she came back out. We both then went over to the boxes and opened one each, grabbing out night clothes and outfits for tomorrow. She then went into our bathroom box and took out what we were going to need for a shower and teeth. She puts it all into one big duffle bag, knowing that it would be too heavy for her to carry ii picked it up, grabbed her hand, and walked out the door, locking it behind us. Going down the stairs and out the back door.
“If we can’t get to the department store tomorrow night, we can still stay at the apartment, right?” She asked me with a little pout on her lips.
“Yes, I do not see why we cannot. We could just order food, pick it up or eat out.” I said as we pulled into the driveway. As soon as we walked through the door, we were met by Carmella and Ricardo.
“Is everything ok? What is wrong?” Carmella asked us.
“This one here got so excited that we forgot about the delivery of the furniture won’t be delivered tonight, so we are back her for one more night.” I explained it to them.
“Oh no, if I would have known I would have fixed enough for the both of you too.” She said worried about Jaycee and I.
“That’s ok Carm, we can just order a pizza or something.” I said as Jaycee, let out a screech.
“Oh my god! We forgot to order Livingroom tables.” She said as she face palms.
“that’s ok, I'll take care of that right now, then I will take our stuff to your room and then I will order us some food.” I told her to calm her down.
“Pizza?” She asked with puppy dog eyes.
“Yes!” I answered as I go to take care of the order of the tables, I might as well order a kitchen table too, she forgot that as well.
