Ivy was seated in the living room watching a movie. She loved her current life. She had also found her own job and had no one to fight with or compete with. She wondered why she'd always craved for things that didn't belong to her. When she tasted how peace felt like, she vowed never to compromise her peace ever again. Just then, the door opened. She didn't turn to look because she knew who it was. It had always been that way since she moved over. Storm's best friend. Despite having confessed, Ivy remained negative. She didn't want any other person. Apart from Storm, she just couldn't bring herself to love any other person.
"Have you really not considered it?" The guy asked.
"No. I'm sorry." That's the only thing Ivy could say.
The guy just smiled bitterly. That's what he got for falling for his best friend's woman.
A month after Ariel's and Bellamy's wedding, Bianca and Miguel paid the two a visit. They had two kids. The first one was seven years old while the younger one was only two. They were both boys.
"Mom, I'm going to see my pretty auntie." The seven year old Ivan said and ran off to hug Ariel. The little one, seeing this, also struggled out of her mother's arms and ran towards Ariel with her short arms. Bianca and Miguel couldn't help but snort. Those two little betrayers, did they mean their mother wasn't as beautiful? But what could they do? They could only indulge the two kids. Miguel and Bianca had moved abroad because of work, so they only got the time to pay Ariel a visit after taking leave.
A year later,
Ariel was seated with her baby on the couch and was breastfeeding him. The baby was called Zain. He looked exactly like his father. Except for the eyes that looked like Ariel's. Ariel quite loved him because he reminded her of Bellamy. Just as the two were having fun, Bellamy came in and glared daggers at the kid in her mother's embrace. He felt that ever since the kid was born, he barely got attention from Ariel. He regretted impregnating Ariel back then, but what could he do?
Ariel could sense his emotions, so she patted the space beside her,
"Come sit with me." Bellamy had no choice but to walk over. The woman he loved had called him. How could he ignore her?
"You know I love both of you, right? Please don't feel left out. You both are the best thing that has ever happened to me, okay?"Ariel said gently and used her free hand to hug his shoulder.
"I love you too, baby." Bellamy's tense expression eased up, and his face blossomed into a smile. The smile was infectious because even Ariel smiled. The little one burped in satisfaction and immediately fell asleep. The two looked at each other and were speechless. That was it?
