Bruce nervously waited to hear Scarlett's answer. His hands felt clammy. That was the first time he had been overly nervous about things. He didn't know what to expect, but he also didn't want to drag on this issue.
"Scarlett?" When he saw the she wasn't speaking and was stunned in place, Bruce called out to her. Did he scare her with his confession?
Scarlett was still thinking. She had a lot of concerns. She was also aware of Bruce's feelings for her. Ariel had once told her about what it meant when someone liked another. The things they did.
"I'm partly artificial. " Scarlett suddenly said. Bruce could feel the pain of her voice as she said this.
"I know. I don't care as long as it is you. "Bruce said as soon as Scarlett said it.
There was nothing Bruce didn't know about Scarlett. He was once his full-time therapist, so he knew everything based on the medical report that Ariel had given him.
'I don't care as long as it's you.' Scarlett froze for a moment before she registered the words he said. It meant that he really only wanted her despite the fact that he knew her past.
"Are you sure?" Scarlett was still skeptical.
"Never been so sure." Bruce answered without batting an eye.
"Then, okay." After careful contemplation," Scarlett said.
"Okay, what?" Bruce asked.
"I will be your girlfriend. " Scarlett answered. She blushed as she said this.
I will be your girlfriend.
The words made Bruce freeze.
"Scarlett?" Bruce suddenly called out after he snapped out of his daze.
"Hmm?" Scarlett was confused. Why did he suddenly call her?
Before she could register what was happening, Bruce fiercely kissed her. She froze for a moment, but Bruce didn't let go. Scarlett also began responding to the kiss. She didn't dislike the kiss, and that was enough.
"Thank you." Bruce said. His eyes were red with emotion. She had finally said yes.
Scarlett, on the other hand, was so embarrassed that she didn't dare look at him. Bruce chuckled when he saw this. His girl was so cute.
After sorting out his emotions, he started the car. Scarlett could tell that he was in a good mood.
"Shall I take you back to your place, or do you want to come with me?" Bruce asked. He would go with whatever she wanted.
Scarlett contemplated. The thought of parting with Bruce made her feel a bit unwilling. She didn't want to. She had been feeling happy, thanks to his company. Also, she didn't want to go back to that villa. She knew her roommate was probably with her boyfriend. She suddenly did not want to go back.
"I want to go with you." Scarlett said.
"Are you sure?" Was she aware that she was entering a lion's den?
"Hmm." She knew Bruce wouldn't harm her.
Thirty minutes later;
"We are here." Bruce announced and got out of the car to help Scarlett out, too.
"Let's go." As Bruce said this, he held her hand. Scarlett felt uncomfortable at first and wanted to withdraw her hand, but would Bruce allow her? Of course not. Scarlett watched as he led her inside the mansion. The servants greeted the two of them respectfully. His big hand covered hers entirely. It was also warm.
"Shall we go upstairs?" Bruce looked at Scarlett and asked.
"Hmm. I will use your guest room. Is that okay?" Scarlett asked.
"No!" Bruce said immediately.
"Huh?"
"You are my girlfriend. The master bedroom now belongs to both of us." Bruce said as he led her upstairs.
"I drew a bath for you. Go on in." Bruce said as he got out of the bathroom. He had already placed the things she would need there.
Minutes later, Scarlett walked to the bedroom in a towel. She didn't have a change of clothes.
"Put this on. I'll ask auntie to bring clothes later. The auntie that Bruce was talking about was the housekeeper.
Bruce went to take a shower. When he came back, he found that Scarlett was nodding off on the couch.
"Come, let's sleep." Bruce beckoned while seated on the bed.
"I... I think I'll use the couch." Scarlett became nervous all of a sudden.
"Do you want me to carry you over, or will you come on your own?" Bruce narrowed his eyes. Was the little rabbit scared?
Before Bruce could react, Scarlett had already walked over and climbed onto the bed.
Then, Bruce turned off the lights, which made Scarlett tense up. She was scared of darkness.
"Don't worry, I'm here." As Bruce said this, he pulled her into his arms. Scarlett froze.
