CHAPTER 178 - AWAKEN SUCCUBI

A deafening roar echoed from King Lycan's room, indicating that the beast had taken control. I lifted my head from the edge of Conan's bed, alarmed. He held my arms firmly, his fangs exposed, revealing his fear.

“It's okay, nothing will happen to you... Stay here!” I tried to reassure him, stroking his face.

“Don't go; it's dangerous... He's possessed by the shadow demon!” Conan said anxiously, maintaining his strong grip on my arm, showcasing his remarkable strength.

“My brave one, you need to trust me... Not to brag, but I'm an extremely powerful witch, and the beast is nothing compared to me!” I winked at him, adopting a more casual tone. “Stay here; at the slightest sign of danger, run and hide; mask your scent... Can you do that?”

He nodded, biting his lips—a habit I also had when nervous.

“That's my boy.” I poked his nose as another crash echoed from my companion's room, indicating more destruction.

I stood up, left the room, and closed the door. Furthermore, I sighed and walked to our room, stopping in front of the door.

“I smell you, hybrid!” The beast spoke with fangs exposed and a menacing voice.

I opened the door slowly, surrounding myself with a magical barrier.

“Beast...” I sighed, seeing the chaos in the room. “What awakened you?”

“I was never asleep.” The creature grinned, tearing a pillow in half. “I'm done with your succubus; bring her back!”

“Tired of your new toy?” I growled impatiently. “Did you know there are ways to request without destroying everything around you?”

The beast approached dangerously, attempting to reach my neck, but the magic repelled him. We stood face-to-face, staring at each other for a moment, until the creature extended its claws, tearing through the magical barrier.

“Hybrid, we've been through this... Forgot I almost killed you before?” The beast snarled threateningly. “Take your guest back; we'll meet again soon!”

The Alpha's body fell to its knees, still in a deep sleep. I sighed and, chanting the magic, entered his mind. Nyxara was frightened and trembling. Without questioning, I pulled her back; her mind returned through a beam of light, guiding me directly to her body in the camp. With effort, I dragged the mighty King Lycan to the bed, trying to wake him.

“Harvey? Wake up...” I shook him; there was no response. “Alpha, stop being lazy and wake up!”

I yelled; he put his hands on his head and eyes, lifting his gaze to look at me.

“Why are you shouting?” he growled irritably. “Who are you calling lazy?”

“It doesn't matter; what matters is that you're back.” I kissed his lips gently. “Do you remember what happened?”

He looked around, clenching his fists in anger.

“BEAST!” he shouted angrily. “There was no reason for your awakening; I didn't even sense it this time...”

“Didn't you notice your possession?” I furrowed my brow, surprised. King Lycan always felt when the beast was about to take over, and the absence of that premonition made the situation more dangerous.

“Damn it!” he roared angrily, getting up. “What did the beast say? How did you repel it?”

“Well...” I nervously bit my lips.

“Human!” Harvey spoke sternly, with fiery eyes. “What did you do?”

“Before you get mad, remember the twenty-four hours of pleasure we had, thanks to what I did.” I smiled cheekily, making him growl and then smile. “In short, Nyxara was with the beast for a while, teaching and revealing its desires...”

“You put a guardian of the purgatory gates inside me?” The alpha growled, punching the wall. “How can you be so irresponsible?”

“It seemed like a good idea, and everything was going well... until the beast resurfaced today, demanding that I take her out of there!” I defended myself. “I'll talk to the Succubus, and find out what happened.”

“Lying demons, humans, how can you be so naive?” he roared furiously. “You've done enough; let me find out what happened myself.”

“Harvey!” I grabbed his arms, making him turn to me, his eyes ablaze. “Nyxara was very frightened when I found her. If you're in this state, it will only terrify her more.”

“Great, that's the purpose!” He roared, turning away. I ran and stood in front of him, making him impatiently furrow his brow. “Get out of my way, hybrid.”

“I'm your Luna, and you will listen to me!” I clenched my fists, stomping my feet on the ground, sure that my face was flushed. He tilted his head to the side, smiling.

“What do you suggest, Luna?” The alpha smiled, approaching, pressing our bodies together, and pinning us against the wall, subtly biting my neck.

“Now is not the time for this...” I moaned in his ear, feeling my wolf stirring inside.

“It's always time for this...” He whispered provocatively, licking the tip of my ear. “You annoyed me; you should calm me down.”

“Alpha, stop being naughty!” I growled, laughing. “I'll talk to Nyxara; let me at least try, and if I feel there's something hidden that she's not revealing, you take over.”

“Sounds fair!” Smiling, Harvey distributed kisses along my neck. “And then?”

“I'll make it up to you in the best way.” I pulled him by the nape, running my tongue from his neck to his ear, whispering sensually. “And I guarantee it will be worth it!”

“Human...” He spoke hoarsely, rubbing his erection against my body. I smiled, satisfied, pushing him away to create some distance.

“I'll sort this out as soon as possible,” I said, running out of the room and stopping by Conan's to check on him.

He was sitting, staring out the window, playing with magic in his hands.

“Everything's fine now,” I spoke softly, entering.

“I know!” He shrugged. “I felt when the beast withdrew.”

“Felt?” I raised my eyebrows, looking at him.

“Yes, strangely, I feel a strong connection to dark creatures...” Conan sighed and looked at me. “Their emotions, thoughts, fears, anger, everything...”

“But how?” I approached him, caressing his face. “How do you have such a deep connection?”

“I can't explain, aunt.” He sighed. “Your Succubus is not just scared; she feels uneasy, and the Beast, well, she doesn't hate you.”

“What do you mean?” I furrowed my brow, holding his hands.

“The beast acts like that because she loves you... Maybe with the same intensity she hates the Alpha when it comes to you!” Conan's eyes sparkled, blending green and blue with black spots. “Your power triggers that, it seems.”

“For a young one, you're quite insightful,” Harvey spoke from the doorway, making us turn to him. “Luna, you have obligations to fulfill.”

“But?” I sighed, turning back to Conan. “I'll be right back, and we'll finish this conversation, okay?”

He nodded, still staring at the Alpha.

“Pup? Let's take a walk.” King Lycan said firmly, glaring at Conan.

“This afternoon, I need to rest.” Conan retorted.

“It wasn't a request!” The Alpha growled, glaring at him.

“Harvey, try to go easy on him for once,” I growled, passing by him.

Rolling his eyes and hands into his pockets in a relaxed manner, he looked at me with a daring smile on his lips.

“I'm in a hurry, Luna!” He teased me, making me blush.

I hurriedly went towards the Succubus meeting.
