Chapter 116 Chapter 116
Rosie
"You don't get to threaten me because you know nothing!" Damien fires but I yelled to an extent that everything here began to viberate.
Even I was terrified as both men turned to look at me. Suddenly, the building was trembling and I had to ask myself if I truly caused this without knowing it.
"If you both want to fight and kill yourself! Take me out of here first because right now! We are trapped and the building might collapse!!"
"what?" Austin mused and just after that exclamation, a rock almost dropped on him if Damien hadn't pulled him away.
I can tell he has his heart in mouth as he kept looking at Damien like a savior.
"I just don't want anything to kill you except me!"
Not him and his lines.
"This isn't the right time" I pointed out trying to avoid the concrete walls that were dropping now.
Damien pushed Austin back as he runs to meet me at the door.
"What really happened here?" I asked but he seems more bothered with chosing the right button that will swift the door open.
"You started the fall, then put an end to it!" Austin snapped at me as I was more than pertrified.
"If I knew would I even bother stopping Damien from killing you?"
"Wow, I guess I'm the prey here now" Austin admits as he turned his back against us.
It seems Damien ignored him as no button was working.
"Austin, get your ass here and work on these buttons!!" He yelled.
"I thought you guys wanted me dead?" He joked flailing his hands like it matters.
Damien only had to raise a brow at him to have him rush to the front like he knew another response from Damien would land him in his grave for real.
All he did was just a few tabs and the door glides open.
"Go first" Damien ordered.
"I don't serve you any more"
Just as Damien was about to snap back, I moved ahead of them, not ready for their argument.
"Rosie!!" They both called running towards me, each standing side by side and I shook my head disappointed.
"Which way am I taking out of here?"
"Left"
"Right" Damien countered as both of their hands were pointing towards the direction of their choice.
I slapped my forehead not even knowing who to trust on this as even getting out of here seems to be based on their clashes.
I'd just chose forward. Not listening to them, I matched further hoping to get out somehow.
"That's the wrong route princess"
"You're heading for destruction Rosie" Austin added and I turned to look at them both with fury.
They both staggered back, like they just encountered a greater evil.
"If you two can just push behind your hates and direct me rightly, I guess I'd make it out alive" I brawled at them and austin was suddenly stretching his shirt while damien clears his throat.
"Damien is more familiar with the route, because he led us straight here in the first place"
Damien scoffed.
"And who got them mad that they began a fight that led us straight here!"
"You got furious when he wasn't responding and shot him Damien. Who wouldn't be mad that their leader is down!"
"I was acting fast!" Damien barked.
"It was your responsibility to do the interrogation but you were complementing his dress! Who does that?"
"I was trying to be friendly so he can trust us!" Damien comments.
"Who makes friends with an enemy?"
"Me!"
"Really? By asking him how much it cost Damien? Because you look like you'd buy that outfit and your friendly act cost his life"
I moved away from them, panicking and suffocating as I squat low, shaking my head.
Why today? We are in danger and they're fighting! What have I done to deserve this?
I didn't even want to listen to their petty argument because I was literally ashamed of them both and while in my dilemma, I suddenly caught sight of a pathway, where a fragment of light was coming from.
"Guys?" I called but they were too invested in their argument than looking forward as neither of them were ready to back out.
This is where I say a goodbye. I stood up, feeling all tired. It's sandy here and so I figured out a stick to draw an arrow pointing the direction I was trailing down.
If they're done and they didn't end up killing themselves, they can find me through that part.
Dumping the stick on the pathway, I bounced forward, just startled by how wild and vast this cave was.
I still have no idea how Damien found here but then as I stride out of that place, i was able to see the sunlight again.
And yes the car. I'd be driving alone. I brought out the car key from my pocket.
Earlier, I had ceased it from Austin when he was teaching me how to use a gun.
Well, I guess it will be useful now.
I inhaled softly, feeling the wind as I turned to look at the cave, expecting those two to be out but then all I see is just the darkness of the cave.
I was about to blink, with the thought of leaving immediately, when the world around me exploded.
A loud roar filled my ears and like a flash, I was thrown off my feet, and my body flew through the air.
The heat from the blade hit me like a wall and it stole my breath.
And the sound was nothing like I've heard with rocks and debris crashing and I tried to scream but my voice got lost.
I hit the ground hard and that I heard my bone crack.
Through the haze of pain and confusion, I saw flames at the edges of the cave.
I tried to call out, to cry out Damien's name but my voice I haven't recovered.
All I could do was lie there, helpless and gasp for air.
