Chapter 103 Chapter 103
Rosie
Shit!
I pant heavily and even before I could give a response, she terminated the call.
I panicked on her behalf as I gave signal to the driver to take me to my cafe.
In thirty minutes I was already there, running inside like my life depends on it.
It's just like the first time when he had come over.
"Damien!" I called, the first name I could utter when I arrived.
I found his sitting close to the glassy wall, leg crossed and a cup of coffee.
My colleagues were also sitting at a round table with guns pointed on the back of their head, by each bouncers that stood behind them.
They were trembling and cadence was the only one that seems cool by this as his arms were crossed.
The two young ladies were already ducking their heads low and shaking.
"Damien! What's the meaning of this!" I yelled storming closer to him as the envelope in my hand felt heavy now.
I felt like I'd loose my breath due to this attitude of them.
He acted as though I was invisible as he gulp down the cup of coffee and then rested his back on the couch.
I turned to look at the bouncers with a soft grunt.
"Lower your weapons!" I ordered and they were hesitant.
"Do that and I'd blow off your heads myself" he snapped in cold tone as he lowered the coffee cup from his face.
I was appalled by that as my burning gaze fetches his and we were now staring at each other like foes.
"Sit and answer every questions I ask without you denying them or you lose them"
"Damien!"
"Sit Rosie maghory!"
Hearing him call my full name was terrifying as I slowly pulled a chair back to sit just right opposite him while placing the envelope on the table.
"If you want to know where I was..."
"What are you hiding from me?" He interrupted and now he's eyes were transfixed on me and I held my breath as his angry gaze is something one doesn't see often.
"What do you mean?" I asked curiously knowing what part of the secret he knew about me but when a gunshot was heard, my shoulders jumped.
I turned to Aria who was crying in low whimper already as she held her arm.
"Damien stop all these, we can talk about this..."
Another gun shot and this time around when I looked at the three of them, xendra was covering her eyes and whimpering.
I covered my mouth, shivering on their behalf as tears brewed up in my eyes.
"You want them to lose their lives because of sluggishness to answer just a question?"
I swallowed, ready to spill about the truth about the twins and Harry and the very reason I hide them but then, he suddenly said;
"You're the red knight aren't you?"
At first, I was caught off guard as my mouth was left hanging while I gasped softly.
"Red knight?" I repeated and the next gun shot has my stomach dropping.
"Stop please, I'm not the red knight" I defended looking petrified.
Damian placed his cup of coffee gently as he steepled his fingers together and then furrowed his brows.
"You know there two set of people I hate...liars and manipulators. Tell me, who the fuck are you!" He barked and I shuddered where I sat, panting softly as he was creeping me out.
He shouldn't prove me wrong. Not now when my heart was melting for him.
I tried to stay composed while shaking my head.
"I'm not! Why would be the red knight? What will be my gain?"
I paused and then ruffled my hair with my fingers as everything still felt unbelievable.
How could he? Why would he blame me.
"Is it because of Dayla? Because of that night? It wasn't you...was it?" I snapped glaring at him as I was trying to gather up facts.
He thud his fist on the table, glowering at me as though he'd bite me off for spewing words that he wouldn't believe.
"Stop changing the topic"
"It wasn't you then!" I scoffed and licked my lower lip suddenly finding all of this.
He gnashed his teeth at me, like I said some forbidden words.
"And because you can't provide the red knight, you want to drag me? Accuse me!" I protested glaring into his eyes.
"Stop talking!" He yells.
"Isn't that what you want? She's important to you than the Luna you claim to have!"
"We aren't even married! Stop calling yourself that. It's a title you gave yourself!" He roared with eyes that felt like they were shooting Lazer right into me and his words had me sitting back.
"I gave myself that title? Really? Then why do you go on to declare it to everyone then!" I barked.
"Formality!"
"How could you?"
"At least, I told the truth while you hide behind a mask I'm yet to unravel!"
"Damien!"
"And who knows if you went out to meet those men to have yourself get fucked" he whispered so low that only I could hear and just after that line, my palm landed on his face.
"You're despicable. At least your spy should have hinted you that I had no one except you!" I yelled at me and I could hear the mumbling of those behind me.
"You dare touch me!" He growled widening his eyes at me like he'd burn me.
"And I'd do it again!" I barked back with tears in my eyes.
We were fuming at each other as I pushed myself up.
"Tell them to let my workers go. Now!" I ordered still looking at him.
He clenched his fists on the table, breathing hard and after a long gaze at me, he shifted his gaze to them.
I turned to look at my workers as they were scared to even stand up but I was reeled in anger.
