Chapter 68 - Mother

Chapter 68 - Mother

The sea touched her feet, but she was also the sea. She was everything from the sea to the sky, from the earth to the moon and the sun. And yet, she had to watch everything without doing anything.
Any deity could not interfere with the free will of her children, but this case was something extreme. If she did not act, everything would blow up.
The Goddess sank into the waters and closed her eyes, feeling what was happening in the world. Her feet touched the sand and connected with the roots of the great tree of the world, the sacred matrix that represented his will and united all creatures.
The Mother felt the pain of the tree and with it, all the suffering of all creation. The times were chaotic, deaths, wars and betrayals of her children against herself.
She could watch or do something. She could let all her children destroy themselves again, but her heart didn’t want that.
Especially that child who was born directly from her womb.
The Goddess walked through the waters and sank into them, taking her to something deeper than the sea herself, deeper than anything known for its creations.
A dark valley arose before her, darkness consumed anyone there, except the one who created both light and darkness, something that could not exist without the other.
The Goddess floated through that environment. There was no ground, no sky. There was neither end nor beginning. It was an emptiness and at the same time the whole. A dark whole, but still a whole.
"Are you here?" the voice presented herself to her. A voice that was only in her memories and thoughts, like a distant memory of a time far away.
A shadow being appeared in front of the Goddess, only yellow eyes could be seen by ordinary beings. But she could see the true face of those who lurked in the darkness.
"Yes, I am." The Mother replied promptly, without anger or fear. Just a soft voice of pity. "And you must be having fun." she said.

"Do you think the chaos of this world makes me happy? The chaos our son is causing?" the voice asked, tired. As if that subject was something tedious.
"Now the problems are beyond Kallias and yes, Akiner, our oldest offspring. Who managed to use even the son who came from our own blood." The Goddess answered with a long sigh. "Even you know that there must be a balance and that at the moment it is hanging by a thread."
The silence was present for a few minutes. The eyes of both joined for a time that a clock could not count. Until Mother finally broke the ice.
"We need to do this together, just like that day when Kallias was conceived."
And she extended her palm to him, and a hand made of shadows touched it. They united again as one being. Light and shadows. Yin and Yang, as one, as it should be.
Both could feel each other’s presence within, more deeply than they already felt at every moment of their lives.
The Mother went towards the light, now her right eye taken by darkness and her body covered by its dark lines.
"What next step now, why did you call me?" She heard his voice in her mind.
"Do you feel it? The great tree being used for darkness?" Her voice came out trembling, with regret for the feeling she felt.
"I feel her death coming slowly, but it’s not something brief. Some very ingenious being is doing this. Akiner? Very intelligent I admire. He managed to block your vision of him. Pity you, who always wanted to approach when they wished, depending on their belief." He ended up saying with an air of disdain.
Mother was angry, and only that being could make her feel that way.
" Stop judging me for fool, they are my children, I love them and can not force them"
"I don’t need you to believe in me to exist." He laughed, teasing her. " I am all that they do not see, but feel that it exists anyway and fear for not being something they can reach."

"Sure, always bragging. But I still exist, you know? I do." She yelled at him, already regretting the decision to unite again. " I just can’t get close, but I’m still here."
And the fight ended there, mainly because in seconds they were already in the dimension where Akiner commanded, with poor creatures in limbo of life and death.
Thanks to Karim, the Goddess could feel the place more accurately. Someone who believed in her smiled. How good it was to feel that trust and love again.
The Mother touched that part of the sacred tree. And it was purified. Its dead, sick roots and leaves came back to life and its brightness increased.
The golden light was so intense that its strength threw away all who worked there. Karim stood among them and smiled.
The divine being took over the spheres with his dark power and they burst, turning into dust and returning to him as it should be from the beginning.
"An ingenious plan, Akiner." The voice of both uniting in a single sound. " I know my son has cursed you, but now I will definitely determine your punishment." The voice echoed through the place, making all beings, even the wolves that were considered owners of others, to be chained.
"We are your gods, those who created you and only for us, you exist. They are ungrateful children who fight for attention, as if they were still crawling. The chance has been given, but you don’t deserve it anymore."
And without any vision of power, everyone there fell except some and Akiner was one of them.
The divine being faced him and approached him. The great wolf showed fear in his yellow eyes, sitting on the ground as someone who could not move.
He tried to say something, but words did not come out of his mouth.
The divine being touched his forehead and said with a deep voice and without fanfare.

"You will wander through this world, just as you did with others and get lost in madness, not knowing who you are or where you came from. Karma returns to you in the worst way, Akiner."

And the wolf screamed, losing himself in who he was. His howl waned as the glare of his eyes also left him. And he was gone, walking alone in that world as promised.

The Goddess looked at Karim and smiled. His father was also there, the only ones still alive.

A golden thread appeared and she said, "It will guide you towards your body."

"Thank you." Karim thanked and the Goddess smiled.

"You still have some business to settle here." The divine being said looking at Otto. "I will go to that school, perhaps it is the last chance of your people, child.

And before you go, she said." Your wife is finishing her mission. It all depends on this last mission. Come back to her and she will come back to you. "
