500- Blood and Gin

500- Blood and Gin
POV Thalyndra Moonclaw:

"Every single one," I lied.

He let out a furious snarl and lunged at me, ready to hit me. I managed to dodge the blow that would have hit my face. He threw another punch, hitting the arm holding the dagger. I didn't let go, keeping it firm in my hand. It was one of the exercises my father had taught me day after day, repeating it whenever necessary. If my grip loosened, I would be disarmed easily and become prey, not the predator.

I took advantage of the second of hesitation, when he saw that his attempt to disarm me hadn't worked, to strike him. The dagger pierced his arm, tearing through it, the tip coming out the other side. He let out an animalistic roar of pain. I pulled the handle and stepped back, preparing to continue the fight.

"You bitch, damned. I'm only not killing you because I don't want to suffer the consequences of disrespecting my lord, otherwise, your head would be rolling across this room."

"Like yours will be very soon?" I provoked.

Emil wasn't like the others; he seemed older and much smarter, he could anticipate my movements and knew how to defend himself. It would be a difficult fight, but I wasn't leaving, not without taking his life with me.

Releasing a heavy breath of disdain, he transformed his nails into claws and launched them at me, scratching my shoulder. I let out a groan of pain and winced when the smell of my blood wafted. The cut was deep, but it would heal soon.

Ignoring the throbbing pain, I plunged the dagger into his abdomen, by his waist. Emil gasped, shocked by the speed, not having time to dodge the blow. I pulled the dagger out.

"That hurt," he complained.

"Good to know, hearing that is music to my ears."

He didn't wait any longer, nor did he hold back to avoid hurting me, as he had been doing. He threw himself at me, throwing one blow after another, which I struggled to dodge. He was much faster, stronger, and more experienced than I was.

I stepped back, fleeing his attack. I felt the counter at my back and started sliding sideways. Emil hit the glasses that were on it, shattering them into many pieces. Drink spilled and began to drip, the smell of alcohol mixing with the blood.

One of the blows came close to me, close enough to tear the strap of my dress. I could almost feel the searing pain of the cut it would have caused on my skin.

I struck back, but couldn't hit him. I tried again, without success. He dodged agilely, without even seeming to tire. The wounds I had caused were healing, and soon he would be perfectly fine. I needed to act fast or lose the fight.

He threw a punch, hitting my jaw. I turned my head with the blow due to its intensity and tasted blood on my tongue. It hurt so much I lost the air in my lungs.

"I would hit much harder, if not for my orders. You're a spoiled, ill-mannered bitch. You joined the Eldoria and think you're a vigilante, killing whom you shouldn't. That alone would be considered severe punishment, in my view. But... you're still too precious for my lord."

I let out a scream of rage and threw myself at him, knocking him backward. He fell on his back on the floor, taking the full impact. I sat on his stomach, held the dagger with both hands, and tried to drive it into his chest. Emil held me back, preventing me.

"Believe it or not, Miss Moonclaw, I'm still trying to be gentle," he whispered.

Acting exactly as I had been taught. I stopped applying force. He felt it, then stopped holding my hands so tightly.

I smiled, full of contempt.

The moment he gave in, I pulled the dagger with my right hand and swung my arm to the side. The movement was faster than a blink, just as I remembered the instructions I had been given. I drove it right above his heart, I felt the organ pulsate as it was struck. I buried the entire blade, leaving only the handle.

He gasped in shock, parted his lips slightly, and blood stained his chin.

"There's one thing you don't seem to know about me. My father knew you better than anyone; he never dismissed the idea that I would have rivals stronger and more agile than me, so he raised me to fight them all." I laughed, pulling the dagger out. "I'm not a spoiled idiot. I'm a woman, you wretch, raised to handle all situations and trained to kill any fighter, whoever he may be, even an experienced centenary alpha." I leaned in to whisper. "And now, all I have left is to eagerly wait to meet your lord and do the same thing to him. You ruined my life, so I will end yours."

He gurgled, more blood coming from his nose and lips. I cleaned the dirty handle on his impeccable suit and got up.

I almost vomited the sparkling wine I had in my stomach when I faced the scene.

Anton was still fighting, but there was no one else alive to face him. Acting like a true animal, he moved with speed and agility. He was still a man, but didn't look like one.

All the people present were dead. The floor was covered in bodies and blood, one fallen on top of another.

A few people remained, trying to escape by climbing the locked windows or banging on the door that wouldn't even budge. Anton went to them. He tore off one's head, separating it from the body with his claws, then went to a man, a human, and tore his arm off. I saw the piece of bone that hung there, the blood that splattered, and the mangled skin. He dug his claws into the man's face, deforming it, reaching the brain, and he died.

Anton didn't stop, not until everyone was dead, dismembering and decapitating them, without exception.

I leaned against the counter, trembling. I sheathed the dagger and waited, breathing through my mouth to avoid some of the strong smell of blood.
