Do the thing

A few weeks later, nearly a month after her kidnapping, Seph was fully healed, her magic back to what it should be; her physical recovery had amazed the doctor. The pack elders are planning Theo’s alpha ceremony once more, where they will officially introduce Seph as his luna to the rest of the werewolf world. They kept trying to engage Seph and Kayla in the planning; Seph was too busy working with Odilio on her magic; she seemed to be learning new things daily with him. Plus, he could translate all of her books for her. And Kayla was training with Seph.

They were still working out precisely what the trio had to do, though they were sure that Odilio knew more than he was letting on. Tolerance and acceptance are such vague concepts. They could work all their lives on gaining more acceptance of people like the girls who are LBTQA+ or part of the letter rainbow; as Odilio calls it, it was clear he wasn’t trying to be disrespectful. The girls decided to own it while still telling him it wasn’t a good idea to say that to other people; they might not get him. Theo, unfortunately, wasn’t asked to join the planning efforts; he was dragged into them against his will. He had business to attend to on top of all that needed doing for the ceremony; the pack needed him now that he was back to himself, the companies required his oversight, and the banks needed managing. That wasn’t to say he didn’t take his laptop outside and do all his work watching his mate train. Archer was impressed at the change in her. Seph rapidly gained skills and increased her confidence and strength physically and magically. She and Dextra seemed to be working better together too. They were a fantastic team, just like any wolf and human pairing.

‘We should spar with mates’, Archer told Theo ’you know we cant bud. Let’s get this done, and then maybe we can go for a race with Dex,’ Theo replied, trying to focus on the reports on the screen in front of him. ‘No! I wanna spar with them!’ Archer argued, stamping his paws in Theo’s head even. ‘We can’t, Arch! We can’t hurt her; we can’t scare her again. We want her to stay with us,’ Theo told him firmly. Archer curled up in the corner of Theo’s mind, sulking and still mumbling about wanting to spar with Seph.

About half an hour later, Theo had lost all semblance of concentration. He was searching the internet for the perfect gift for his mate; he had to start making up for all his mistakes. Goddess, he was an idiot; why did he make so many stupid mistakes? ‘Dextra says no flowers or chocolate. You fucked up too bad for that to work,’ Archer suddenly tells him. ‘Well, what do I get her then? She doesn’t do clothes, shoes, or makeup; I already got her bows and arrows; what next, blades?’ Theo asked rhetorically, not actually expecting his wolf to find an answer. ‘Dex says katar’s and throwing blades,’ Archer replies after a few minutes, showing Theo an image which had clearly come from Dextra, a wicked-looking, efficiently lethal blade with an H-shaped handle; the other in the pair had 3 blades. Theo decided he would need to do some research on these before he had any forged or purchased for her. Why can’t she just want jewellery and expensive shoes? Theo thought idly as he began to search the internet for information on these katar blades.

Theo didn’t know how long had passed before he felt like someone was looking down on him. He looked up, excuses for why he couldn’t come back inside for more meetings and phone calls already on his tongue, but he found himself looking into his mate’s hypnotising green eyes, his sister not far behind. “Why are you being mean to Archer?” Seph asked, her head tilted to the side like a confused puppy.

“Uh… sorry?” Theo replied, the confusion evident in his voice as he began to put his laptop away in its bag and stand up.

“He told me he was trying to hang out with Dex, and she was distracted. He wants to spar with us, but you won’t let him?”

Theo’s eyes widened as comprehension dawned on him, brushing non-existent dust from his backside to avoid answering for a few more seconds. It didn’t actually help him. As he opened his mouth to try and explain himself, Kayla shook her head at him, tutting softly. He couldn’t decide if she was actually trying to tell him not to speak or just backing up Seph as she was prone to do. Seph was her mate, after all.

“Stop being so mean to him and let him spar; if he wants to be put on his ass, then that’s his problem, not mine”, Seph said with a shrug, trailing a wisp of warm, bright red light around his neck and shoulders as she walked off back to the grass where she had been playing with Kayla mostly.

“Come on, pup, don’t let yourself get broken; she won’t like that she broke you”, Odilio called out to Theo. He was beginning to feel like he had fallen into an alternative reality. He was an alpha. Why would he be scared of sparing with his mate? If anything, they should be scared he was going to hurt her. ‘Right Archer, thanks for getting me into this shit; now I’m going to let you have control but no shifting and no hurting her. Got it?’ Theo said firmly. Archer replied with a shrug, ‘I don’t think I could hurt her, even if we really tried, shifted or not.’ Archer was clearly delighted by the prospect.

Kayla sat off to the side, watching as Seph sized up Archer because it might have been Theo’s body standing facing her, but that was unmistakably Archer facing her in a loose, ready pose. Kayla wasn’t sure how this would end, Archer seemed stupidly happy to be facing off with her like this, but then Remi always seemed to respond like that too. It wasn’t about winning or losing when sparring with Seph for Remi. It was just the act of sparring with Seph. It made Remi feel more connected with Seph, like it was a way for them to communicate and engage with each other in a way that worked for everyone. Some of the other warriors would come and watch to see what it could be like to face magic. They couldn’t believe that Sky could have Remi ready to tap out while barely breaking a sweat, using a mixture of wooden staff and her magic. Theo was just lucky that this match hadn’t been advertised, really. Kayla would hate to see the audience that came out for that; Theo would hate it. He didn’t know what Archer had let him in for.

Seph and Archer were circling each other. Dextra gliding around above their heads. She was not playing now. Kayla doubted whether Archer knew she was even there. After that, everything seemed to happen quickly; Archer darted into tag Seph, who beat him back with her staff. It moves faster than the eye can see when she sets her mind to it, and it hurts like a motherfucker. Kayla winced in sympathy as Seph tapped Archer’s hands, pushing him back before flipping, feet overhead, back to where she was before, a grin on her face and her eyes shining. Archer laughed loudly “my mate… my perfect little mate”, he growled before rushing her again.

It took Archer nearly 20 minutes before he decided to shift, regardless of what Theo had said before. Theo had to agree with his wolf. Their mate was a challenging opponent; even the minor mistakes in technique were too well covered to be taken advantage of. Plus, there was Dextra to consider, the drake was fluttering around in the air, and she kept blowing hot air at him, she made it rain on him once, but it felt like a shower. Then there were the burning rocks she threw, one nearly hit him, and while he was sure it wasn’t intended to, it still scared him.

Even shifted into Archer’s body, it didn’t seem to make much difference to Seph; she used her magic to keep him at bay, darting closer herself, almost faster than he could see, let alone respond to, and tagging him with her staff or her hand. In a real fight, he would have been dead long ago. Theo was damn sure not giving up yet, though he had the stamina to keep going. Finally, he saw Seph moving. She squealed as Theo met her in mid-air, bringing them both to the ground, making sure to shield her. He wasn’t trying to hurt her after all. They wrestled on the floor, Seph’s staff of no use to her now. Theo and Archer got the impression she was just playing with them at this point. Dextra was nibbling gently on their ear and trying to groom their fur as Seph tickled them. When Archer managed to get the upper hand, he licked Seph and Dextra relentlessly until she was squealing with laughter. “Kaylaaa, help me hold him down!” She cried playfully.

Kayla laughed just as much and got up, saying, “only if you do the thing.”

Seph could barely speak for laughing “does… does… really… deserve?” She managed to pant while still trying to fight off Archer’s tongue.

Archer was mildly curious about what they were talking about, but what concerned him the most what making sure his mate smelt like him and only him, no grumpy old dragon, no doctor, no random patients, no Lorcan or elders, just Archer.

Just as the three of them were tussling around on the grass playfully, Lorcan came out of his office. To be fair, he had probably been able to see them sparring all afternoon. The trio didn’t notice, to begin with, and continued. The girls managed to get Archer on his side; Seph leaned down and kissed his nose, making him grumble good-naturedly. “Now remember, Kayla demanded I do this, ok?” She finished with a giggle before her hands began to glow. She didn’t need any words or ingredients for this spell. It was only ever for the twins. Archer growled softly; the magic didn’t hurt him; he knew it wouldn’t; he trusted his mate. But waves of pleasure were rolling through him. Kayla grabbed Seph’s arm tightly, her eyes glazed and her legs begging to shake slightly. “Ohhhhh”, she gasped under her breath. Archer was pushed to change back into Theo’s form, his erection rock solid, he needed his mate right now, and he was going to have her. He could smell that both the girls were aroused.

“Seph, what?” Kayla began

Lorcan could sense where this might be going, and it probably wasn’t a good idea for it to happen here, not with them all this charged. He cleared his throat loudly, gaining their attention quickly. “Persephone, the elders need you to consult on decorations. It is a tradition that these arrangements are made by the luna. Elder Maher’s wife is here to help you in place of my mate.”

All three of them were blushing bright red, unsure of how much of what had just happened he had witnessed. “Oh… erm… sure, I need to get washed up first. I’ve been training all day,” Seph replied bashfully. While Theo pulled her in front of his currently solid cock, hoping to hide from his father a bit.
