Chapter 73. Cooper Smillow
Cooper removed his shooting glasses and earplugs when one of his men came in with his cell phone screaming loudly. Cooper set the Baretta M9 on the table and moved away from the booth to shoot. Sweat dripped down his forehead. He was annoyed by the interruption from his men, but he didn't show any angry expression and just took his phone from his man's palms.
"Who are you?"
"I want to do business with you."
Cooper frowned. The person he was talking to was definitely not one of his colleagues. The person hid his number and disguised his voice using laryngeal electro. He couldn't do business with someone who was clearly hiding his identity from him.
“I only do business with people I know. If you want to do business with me, you must give me your identity.”
"I can't. It's about Logan Hatcher. I want to do business with you to destroy him.”
“Are you one of his colleagues that Logan let down?” Cooper chuckled.
“Logan is holding your ally in his house. Gideon Frost. Logan hasn’t killed him yet. The man is still alive, but Logan broke his leg and arm, so he can’t run away.”
"Who are you?" Cooper frowned deeply.
He must have been talking to someone who knew Logan very well. Or the person might live around Logan. No one knew where Gideon Frost had been days ago. Gideon disappeared from his office and everyone assumed Gideon had been kidnapped or killed. He didn't even know where Gideon was after his men tried to find him, because Gideon still had some unfinished business with him.
"You don't need to know who I am. Only if you want to do business with me to destroy Logan, I’ll help you. I have valid information about Logan.”
"Are you one of them?"
"Logan has a woman who is very precious to him."
The person ignored his question and changed the topic.
"I know. That woman is just a bitch. We've met before."
"She's not just his favorite bitch. She's going to be the mother of Logan Hatcher's children. You know, Logan got a replacement for Brittany. She's your daughter who died in the accident, right?"
The calmness on Cooper's face evaporated, replaced by tension and anger. In the years since Brittany's death, no one had ever offered him business with Brittany's name in it. The man clearly knew how to activate the anger button in his heart.
"Don't toy with me, bastard! I will find you and kill you.”
"Rather than killing me, you'd better accept my offer to do business together. There's no harm in trying. I'll help you kill Logan. He's in Las Vegas now, having fun with his bitch. Logan isn't surrounded by his men. You can use that opportunity to kill him."
"Is your information valid? I'll find you and finish you off if you're proven to be lying to me."
The person chuckled in a strange voice. The electronic laryngeal made his voice sound like a robot.
"You can prove it yourself. Tomorrow at eleven o'clock, Logan and his bitch will go to the airport to return to New York. They will go through the back door of the airport to avoid the commotion at the airport. You could send your men there to kill Logan. But remember, only Logan. Never touch his bitch because she is mine."
The man hung up the phone, leaving Cooper with a dull phone ringtone.
Who is someone who hates Logan, but lives close enough to Logan that the person knows Logan's secret?
Cooper was sure the man was one of Logan's men, and he was great because he could disguise himself perfectly.
He thought of Alan, the man who had worked for him for years. Alan was a great man. He chose Alan to do the undercover mission because he was sure Alan could do it smoothly. But Alan's disguise was exposed. Alan's life ended tragically at Logan's hands.
After the murder of Alan and his four assassins, Cooper did not assign anyone else to spy on Logan again. He knew that Logan was very conscientious and careful with those around him. Logan could sense the rottenness he thought was well hidden. If that man could stay so close to Logan, that meant he was a great person.
So who is this man?
Cooper kept thinking. He scratched his chin, which had a three-day-old beard on it. He was considering that man's offer to attack Logan tomorrow when he returned to New York. It didn't hurt to try. Maybe it was a shortcut to get revenge on Logan for Brittany's death. He would never forgive Logan for Brittany's death because Logan had ruined his daughter's purity and innocence..
"I'm coming to you, Logan. I will send you to hell with all your filth."

Riley blinked her eyes many times while moaning loudly when she felt a very painful pain all over her body. She tried to move her hand, but her movement was stopped when she remembered that last night the lecherous man had tied her hands and feet in a very disgusting position. She was stretched out like a frog about to be dissected in a laboratory. Her arms and legs are stretched out in an X, just like the night before. But this time it hurt even more because Logan did it with all the anger burning inside of him. She thought she would die last night. She could barely maintain her consciousness as Logan kept moving inside her and doing very painful, immoral things.
Flashes of disgusting and horrific images began to appear in her head, creating some very horrific nightmares for her. The most painful thing for her was when Logan raped her, even though she begged him to stop..
Tears streamed down her cheeks again. Logan had ruined her life to the point where she wanted to die. She couldn’t live in such a disgusting condition. She wanted to die! She didn’t want to live in this world anymore!
“What are you thinking? Get up and take a shower. We’ll be out of here in a minute. Time to go back to New York.”
Suddenly, a voice interrupted her thoughts and made Riley even more disgusted with Logan.
