Chapter 176. Your Wife is Safe
Chapter 176. Your Wife is Safe
"Good morning daddy. Where's papa?"
Logan immediately got greetings and spoiled waves from his girls who were munching on biscuits on their special chairs. Their brother, Archer, was lazily scooping up cereal. He was still very sleepy, but he had been woken up to get ready for school.
Meanwhile, Riley was busy in the kitchen. She made coffee and a healthy breakfast for her husband, who had just entered the dining room.
“Papa Landon is sleeping. Today you will be with me, girls.”
Logan kissed the top of their heads one by one. They giggled playfully and high-fived each other with their drool-soaked biscuits.
"Your coffee, honey."
"Thank you. Seeing that you are so troubled now, I thought about hiring a new housekeeper to help you."
"I'm fine. I can handle all this alone. Honestly, it's more fun than just lazing around in our beds," Riley looked at Logan meaningfully.
"Where's Betty?"
“She went shopping at the market. She wants to buy fresh seafood. She left early in the morning, so she could buy fresh fish from the fishermen."
"What a persistent woman," Logan laughed.
He then turned his attention to his son who was sitting sullenly in front of him.
"Hey kiddo, what's with your face?"
"I don't want to go to school."
Riley rolled her eyes lazily and placed a glass of juice in front of him. Archer looked lazy to look at Riley's face and still pouted.
“He got angry when I forced him to take a shower. Tsk, this is because you often spoil him, Logan."
"No, I’m not. He's just annoyed that you woke him up too early."
"Yeah, I'm not going to argue with that. Finish your breakfast, Logan. I will bathe the twins after this. Girls! Don't throw food on the floor."
Riley started to put her hands on her hips and turn into a fierce mother if her children started acting up. Sometimes it wasn't just the children who made a mess, her husband, especially Landon, often ruined her mood by acting childish. Logan wasn't usually as troublesome as Landon, but Logan would turn into a maniac if they were alone in bed.
"Honey, you're daydreaming, hmm?"
Riley gasped in surprise when Logan suddenly hugged her back and kissed her neck with his wet lips. Riley sighed softly about all the things that Logan was doing right now. She immediately turned around and pushed Logan away.
"Time to go to the office. You should drop Archer off to his school too.”
"Tsk, I miss you, honey."
"Last night you got what you wanted."
"I can't get enough of you," Logan muttered under his breath.
“I have to share my days with Landon. That's why I can't get enough of you."
“Tsk, we're going to have a long night later. Now, go to the office. Archer is almost late.”
Logan grabbed Riley's nape and landed a soft kiss on her lips. Logan's tongue slipped into Riley's half-open mouth. His arms supported Riley's back and pulled her closer to him. Logan's other hand caressed Riley's soft cheek to send more pleasure to his beautiful wife.
Even though they had shared intimacy for years, Logan was still never satisfied with his wife's body. He always wanted hot and intense kisses every day. He was starved by his wife's body every day and couldn't keep his mind off his charming wife.
"Enough. You'll lose control if I don't stop this, Logan."
Logan chuckled softly. He backed away as Riley shoved his shoulders away and told him to hurry to the office.
“Do a good job at the office. Don't poison your brain with whatever we do every night," Riley winked mischievously and turned to leave. She didn't need to hear any reply from Logan's lips.
And when she had taken five steps, Riley looked over her shoulder and slapped her own butt sexily in front of Logan.
Logan chuckled at what Riley had just done in front of him. His wife was such an annoying seducer. Sometimes, Riley deliberately teased him to distract him before leaving for the office. Riley was so happy when all her tricks worked. He would whine on the phone because he missed her hot, sexy body.
Fuck! Logan snorted inwardly. Now, he was really horny just thinking about his sexy wife.

Riley hurriedly got out of the car. A blue folder was wedged in her left armpit. Her right hand pressed the cell phone between her ear and she walked hastily into the lobby of her husband's office with a furrowed brow.
"Logan? I arrived at the lobby. Where should I go?”
Riley paused for a moment to catch her breath. It was all because of Logan. She was panicked and had to rush into her husband's office because this morning Logan left some important documents on his desk. She was very annoyed when Logan called half an hour ago, telling her to come to the office and drop off the important documents at his office. She was just about to put the fussy twins to sleep. They didn't want to sleep with Betty and just wanted to be with her for a nap. And Logan forced her, half-begged her to drop the important documents at his office, which was about a twenty-minute drive from their house. Riley had no other choice but to leave the twins with Betty. They cried hysterically when he asked them to stay home with Betty.
“Just go up to the fifteenth floor. I'll be waiting for you at the elevator."
“You know, I might have made a mess on the road by driving in a hurry to your office. Where are all your men? Why is there no one ready to help you at home?”
"They are doing their job. Come on, I'm waiting for you here, baby. Bye."
Riley snorted. She was in such a hurry to stuff her phone into her bag that she didn't realize she was going in the wrong direction. She didn't notice a man, who was busy talking to someone on the phone, walking towards her. Riley bumped into the man and all her documents fell all over the floor. Riley rubbed her sore buttocks. She was more embarrassed than angry at the man who bumped into her. The man's phone was on the floor and someone the man was calling shouted into the mouthpiece several times before the phone went dead.
“It’s ok. I’m fine.”
People crowded around them. Riley was the first to stand up, grabbing her handbag and documents. She moved closer to the man, bent her back to see the man's condition.
"You okay? Sorry, I was in a hurry.”
"I'm fine," the man said curtly. He ignored Riley and was busy with his dirty pants.
"Are you hurt? This is my husband's office. You—"
Riley's words died in the air when the man started to look up, and they stared at each other.
"Justin?"
"Riley? Geez, what kind of coincidence is this?”
The sullen expression on Justin's face instantly turned into joy. Justin stood up in one quick, steady jump. He scooped Riley into his arms and disappointed some of the surrounding spectators. They expected a more dramatic spectacle, but they wouldn't get anything other than a moment of meeting between two friends who hadn't seen each other for a long time.
“How are you, Riley?”
"I'm very good. And you?"
Riley hugged Justin enthusiastically. She even forgot her purpose in coming to the office and was completely lost in the euphoria of meeting an old friend.
After a few minutes, Justin pulled their bodies apart. He stared at Riley in amazement because he didn't expect that he would meet Riley at that place.
Justin pulled them both away, his palms still resting on Riley's shoulders.
“Great. I didn't expect to meet you here. What a coincidence. By the way, what are you doing here?”
“I… Oh my gosh!”
Riley smacked her forehead and grimaced as Justin stared at her in confusion.
"There is a problem?"
“I have to deliver the documents to Logan. He needs it for today's meeting."
"Oh, so this is your husband's office?"
“Yes, this is Logan's office. What are you doing here, Justin?”
“I just took my father. I think my father will have a meeting with Logan.”
"Then I must hurry."
Riley glanced at the silver watch on her wrist. Before she could walk to the elevator, Justin suddenly grabbed her wrist.
"Are you busy?"
"Not really. Why?"'
“How about we have a quick cup of coffee? I will get bored waiting for my father to finish meeting with your husband.”
Riley bit her lip, considering Justin's offer. There was no harm in having coffee with Justin. They had a lot to say about their lives over the past few years.
"Okay. I'll go to Logan's room first. You might want to wait for me at the café?”
He shook his head. "I'd better come with you. You won't be long, right?"
"Not. I'll just hand over these documents and go."
"Let’s go. There's a lot I want to ask you, Riley. You just disappeared after graduating from university.”
Riley grimaced a little. They talked as they walked towards the elevator that had just opened. Riley rushed in with Justin behind her, then she pressed fifteen.
“Logan asked me to move to New York. We've lived apart for a long time."
"How are your children? You were pregnant during the final exam, right?”
"They are fine. Archer is an amazing big brother. I gave birth to twins. Mandy and Heidie."
“Wow, you're so lucky, Riley. That's amazing news. They must have grown up by now. It's been a while since you moved to New York and left a small town like Charleston."
“Charleston is a wonderful city. I get a lot of sweet memories there. How about you, Justin?”
Riley's question was forced to hang in the air because the elevator they were in suddenly chimed and stopped on the fifteenth floor. When the elevator doors opened wide, Riley and Justin were greeted with a view of the long, silent hallway. But, someone standing near the elevator suddenly moved and startled them.
"Riley. You've finally arrived."
Logan appeared like a ghost and immediately blocked Riley's steps as she was about to take a step further away from the elevator.
“The documents I asked for?”
“You surprised me, Logan! How long have you been standing there?”
"Since five minutes ago. You're too long."
Logan looked up to find someone standing behind his wife. His gaze turned sharp when his eyes met Justin's.
“Hey, you might have forgotten about me."
"Justin," Logan said sharply and a little harshly. "I can't possibly forget you."
Riley saw a hostile aura begin to radiate from Logan's body. She quickly pushed Logan away and broke his eye contact with Justin.
“Shouldn't you meet with your client now? You have to hurry, Logan. Don't disappoint your client."
“What is this man doing here?”
“We met by chance in the lobby. He—"
“We are old friends, Mr. Hatcher. There's nothing wrong with chatting and asking each other how things are, right?"
Riley felt her shoulders grow heavy. Justin just put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her close to him. Riley was quite aware of the faint anger on Logan's face. But, Logan had better emotional control than Landon. Logan wasn't going to hit Justin spontaneously this time. But, it was still worrying.
“We will have coffee up front. I won't leave the kids at home for too long," Riley said quickly when she saw Logan's sharp gaze and his silence.
"Don't worry, Mr. Hatcher, your wife is safe with me."
"I know. I'll see you at home."
Logan just left without looking at Riley. He let out a huffy breath, forcing himself not to let out his emotions in front of Justin. He had promised Riley that she would never see a fight or blood before her eyes again. He would completely keep that oath unbroken. Though honestly, he really wanted to rip Justin's disgusting face off when he smirked at him.
Shit! If it was Landon, he wouldn't think twice about beating up that damn guy, Logan muttered angrily, and he entered the meeting room.
